That's not rolling launch, that's just the gearbox kicking down. As someone who tunes the EA888 there is no rolling launch options at all on the dsg boxes. For rolling launch it would require building boost thats flooring the throttle and pressing the button at the bottom of throttle to get it to kick down into gear. Lovely example of a golf r tho not me being a asshole at all with what I put above but don't want people messaging MRC saying can I get rolling launch when its not a think on any S3 8V or MK7 or MK7.5
Agreed, mine does that but only in S mode - I’ve had it to VW as I always thought there was a fault due to the hesitation but apparently it’s just the characteristics of the gearbox?

Take it to Surrey rolling road. My B5 RS4 was tuned by MRC many years ago ! Still running fine with 209k miles with 496ps 702NM

Ive got the golf r too but i dont rate the sound of this. Loud isnt necessarily better and especially in a 2.0L 4 cylinder
If I got one I'd want it to sound quiet... 2.0T 4s sounds so boring to me. But I bet I would enjoy the power.

Yup 15% tint just got hit with a £100 fine by a lovely copper. Apparently they can fine you £200 front and back but it’s up to their discretion...

I dont think thats rolling launch. It seems like he just hit the kicksdown switch. Normally rolling launch requires you to set a speed or hold a button down and it looks like he just mashes the pedal down

How do all these 14 year old looking mateys afford golf r's and audi rs3 etc. I remember back in the day when all the boys were in corsa, novas and clios etc grinding for mods and power. Now it's all financed foot down and go get a map and dsg farts
Yeah I don't get it. I can just about afford a fiesta ST working full time at 24, but the insurance costs as well? Like a stock golf r is nearly 1500/1600 quid for me fully comp, let alone modded and all that! Fuck knows how they afford it.
@@RiperSnifle Because 90% of them all live with their parents still, even if they have an average to low paying job ( £1200-1500) a month and pay no board you can see its very easily affordable with next to no outgoings. ( Car finance £300 a month, insurance lets say £150) they've still got over 1k a month spare cash.

Much much safer for the seat to be all the way back. believe it or not. In a crash if the seat is more forward you run the risk of the front of the car and dash crushing your knees in and legs. Cases of paraplegics because mostly women drive with the seats all the way forward and then crash
Has the gearbox been mapped? That rolling launch didn't sound healthy for the engine. Sounded like he dropped a gear by mistake at first untill he explained.

My uncle had a mk 7 golf r but had to sell it recently because he was getting to carried away with it and was getting to much speed tickets so he traded it in for a 2013 range rover
thankful to NOT see carbon fiber replaced body parts... hate when they do that thinking the car is now a Pagani Zonda... it just looks awful, and from afar, like it had an accident and someone slapped another car's piece on it.
