Thank you! Again you've taught me something I haven't thought of! This will come in handy when my carrot cake starts to lean. It's the one that I have trouble with lol! Thank you again. Also I love your videos!
Very useful video , now I have come to know why my cakes sometimes leaned because I didn’t know to put into fridge after crumb coat to let the cake set … I used to do everything in one go .
I don't know how, but it seems they always lean or are uneven between layers. I have tried some of these tricks, such as filling in with extra frosting. It is nice to have some other things in my repertoire. I had not thought about the saranwrap idea and I like it very much. I also have used acetate rolls to keep the cake from leaning. It is a bit more trouble to get the layers in, but I have the opportunity to use the acetate in a way similar to the saranwrap.
Hey love your videos can you plzz make a video on making the cake sponge with tips and tricks for beginners to make the sponge super soft without oven and eggs nor flour iam just 12 years old and iam an Indian So sorry to trouble you with a lot of demands And i commented in the 4 min buttercream video plz clear my doubts cause its my first time making a cake and i want it to be a perfect one for my mom's birthday ❤❤❤
I like to create an even cake from the get go. This technique adds extra frosting, an inconsistent tasting cake and extra weight to a tall cake especially for traveling has fallen over. With past experience too much frosting and an unevenly frosted cake is not the kind of quality that I like to experience or create. Humbly speaking🙏🏼🕊️🙏🏽
Thanks, Emily! I learned something new. Wrapping the leaning cake after filling with plastic wrap and chill and then straighten! Perfect idea.
Thank you. I have learnt so much from you. You give so much information and I am a lot more confident about frosting etc.Thank you again.
I'm so happy to hear that!
I hadn't thought to chill after filling the layers rather than after the crumb coat. Great idea.
It makes a huge difference for me!
Omg, i've always had this problem and never knew how to fix it. Thank you!
Yay!

The cling wrap idea is super cool!!
It works so well when I rush to crumb coat before chilling and the cake inevitably leans
Great tips i will definitely use, thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much for sharing. Love from NJ. 💜

Another trick is to exaggerate the lean and make the lean part of the decorative design.
Definately plastic wrapping trick.
Best idea.

Absolutely! A straight cake is ideal but this video gives you some options if you find your cake leaning and need a solution!
