Yes, they are made in China. Mine is a SV-175 (like the one in the video, although the varnish on mine looks a little lighter) and it does say made in China in 2013.
So are a lot of other violins. You're fooling yourself if you think there aren't great violin makers in China. My Carlo Lamberti Master Series is only the tip of the iceburg.
There are mediocre fiddles from China and then there are really good one's. Cremona are really good one's I own the SV-800. A great and rich sounding Fiddle.
