I think Judge K's decision not to make any personal comments during sentencing was actually very deliberate and effective. Considering Sarah Boone's history throughout this trial-rejecting multiple public defenders, representing herself at one point, and delaying the process for years-it seems clear that she had been manipulating the legal system and creating drama at every opportunity. By staying strictly procedural and not responding to her outrageous statement, the judge avoided validating her inflammatory remarks. A scolding, while satisfying to hear, would have given her words more weight than they deserved. Instead, his silence made it clear that her comments weren’t worth acknowledgment, and the focus stayed entirely on the verdict and justice for the victim. In a way, ignoring her diatribe was more powerful than any lecture could have been. It shut down the theatrics, upheld the dignity of the court, and ensured the sentencing was about the victim and their family-not Sarah Boone’s attempt to center herself in the narrative. A masterful way to snap the cover shut on the case and bring it to a close.

It wasn’t until one of the folks in chat brought up the subject of Sarah‘s son and how she failed to mentioned him at all. Great point! I guess it’s just another indicator of her immense self absorption, her main goal of getting out her endless blames & gripes, etc., that she couldn’t even find one or two sentences to talk about her precious boy. How sad. Had that been me, God forbid, in that circumstance, I think my child might be one of the very first things I talk about. I especially enjoyed your sticking around for the post interview with the attorney. That segment was eye-opening and I loved your commentary that played along with it. It wasn't so hard to listen to her continue to abuse Jorge even after she killed him. Her lawyer and she acted like we didn't see the police bodycams, where she would tell the police lie after lie. Then we saw Sarah immediately start to torment Jorge by calling his family and friends, repeatedly text them, send pictures and videos destroying his documents, mail and other things. The very things and actions she swore to the police she didn't have. We saw and heard Jorge beg her to leave him alone , but NO, she stalked him like prey. Hearing her and her lawyer today was reprehensible.
2:19:18 I’m in the closing statements. I wholeheartedly believe that Sarah Boone is the aggressor or abuser in this situation. This being said from a survivor. All survivors have a thing in their head saying they deserve it. She is all wrathful and blaming others. That is an abuser stance. IMO

Someone commented in not saying anything probably bothered her more then anything he would say, she has no character substance or integrity to process the awful person she is, so why bother In this case Judge K refraining from comment couldn't have been more fitting. He said in silence Ms Insufferable Boone, Ma'am I've had enough of you good luck and Bye.

She claims that she wanted to donate a kidney. Not sure they'll take a pickled organ, and there's no information on whether or not she was even a match. The court also wasn't going to delay the trial so she could do it.
My personal thought is that the pen pal has also been “Sarah Boone-d”… When the lady said that Sarah jumped right in to wanting to donate a kidney when she heard her diagnosis, I interpreted that as Sarah saw an opportunity to make herself look like a freaking hero. In Sarah’s mind, it would have looked amazing at her trail that she’d been so incredibly selfless to a person she’d never met. That’s just my assessment of the situation, though, after watching the whole trial and now this.
@@courtney4173 correct. A life sentence in Florida is exactly that a life sentence. We do not have a parole board except for old cases. A judge does not need to say life without the possibility of parole, because a life sentence is exactly that a life sentence.

What we know. You had an unstable childhood but never sought counseling. You likely had postpartum depression but you didn't seek help or counseling. You treated Brian like crap and he still took care of you. You neglected your child when you weren't in jail and harassed and manipulated everyone including your son in jail. You got involved with a man who had some flaws but no history of abuse and you abused him and harassed his family and manipulated them. You stayed in the relationship. You are the manipulator, abuser, and the boy who cried wolf. You stayed in an unhealthy relationship and made it worse and ultimately dragged someone down to your level and then murdered him. Also, I think it was premeditated. Sarah Boone, rot in prison. Society doesn't need a person that is poison to everyone else.
Side note but it's really cool the judge is able to have students sit behind him. I think it would be so inspiring and sobering to be able to do that as a student.
As a Christian, it annoys me to no end for a "chaplain" (qualifications are not stated....) to speak about how wonderful people are IN CUSTODY. Well, fuck... yea.... THEY ARE IN CUSTODY. They are also some of the most gullible people you will ever meet. To a person.... if they're working with the incarcerated they believe what the incarcerated SAY. I had a CJ professor who believed them hook line and sinker. Was absolutely DEVASTATED when that one "really nice" inmate at FOLSOM (the old one...not the nice new one) was sent to CORCORAN because he had done "bad things" whilst in prison. What did he do to earn his way in? Killed his wife and kids. JUST A STELLAR HUMAN. They don't get convicted or go to prison because they helped a little old lady across the street and fed a stray kitten.
Sarah needs a 12 step program to learn humility and realize the common denominator of all her troubles is HER. Her son is lucky to have her in his life on a limited basis moving forward. Good luck to all the poor souls that have to be near her.
Brian’s son quit visiting her at the jail or talking to her on the phone. SHE is the reason why they moved across the state and legally changed their last name. He was being bullied at his old school near her and was not doing well. His new school is protective of him and he’s doing better. Brian’s son is 14 and a judge will listen to him if Brian’s son wants a protective order against his egg donor if he wants one. Another case I followed, the son wanted a court order out of Arizona to NOT have his egg donor contact him and it was granted. He can contact his egg donor if and when HE wants contact with her. I hope Brian’s son does the same.
Brian's son is fortunate to not have her in his life at all. Imagine knowing nothing but her world and then suddenly getting to experience a completely different life.
For the first time in almost 5 years, even after the verdict, and the denial of a new trial, Sarah’s shoulders are slumped as the reality of her situation is now realized. If there was any room in the judge’s discretion, that evaporated as she testified that, “I am sorry that Jorge did this to himself”. Owens can go and check now on who slipped on the wet floor in the supermarket back home. We all know the disingenuous reason he took this case. When is a lawyer from Milton, FL going to get a CourtTV interview? You know he gave the reporter his card without her asking. Wait wait my card!
Not surprising. Victimhood and martyrdom couched in benevolent “forgiveness” with a heaping dose of thesaurus. Disgusting person inside and out and she deserves longer in jail. Always the victim.
She forgives literally no one. Edit: I’m not saying she has anyone to forgive. I missed a lot of the trail. I’m just saying.. you can clearly she see forgave not one person she claims to have forgiving.

I don't think that he fought back more than once or twice.
That was the most angry and unforgiving forgiveness speech I’ve ever heard 😂
Isn’t it something that the only people Sarah could get to testify to her “gentle” and “giving” demeanor were other criminals? Sounds like prison is where she is her best self.
One of her manipulation tactics is to get as close as possible as quickly as possible. In jail those people don't have the opportunity to stay away.
@@doom4067the one girl said that. “She wouldn’t leave me alone so i opened up”
I'm catching this now, and Emily I am dying with the look on your face one sentence in as Sarah Boone offers her statement. You are the best! 😂
Same😂
lol yes I kept rewinding cause I had to watch her face mimic mine. Her speech I have no words. I heard some of the family walked out while she was taking. She kept looking in the direction of the family which the lawyer you know stated. All I can say is wow I can’t say I have ever heard someone try and throw a bus load of people under the bus but then ask for forgiveness…. Wtaf 😱
Question: All of those friends that she claimed came to check on her the many times that Jorge beat/harmed her ….. Where were they at during her trial or today to speak on her behalf?
She projects. A lot. I'd guess that at least 95% of the accusations that she makes against Jorge are actually things that she did.
@@doom4067 I'll bet that she beat him up, called the cops on him, then bailed hm out. To establish dominance. She's a horrible person so it's easy to imagine the worst.
Let’s be real, she had no genuine friends. That’s one reason why she had so much time to stay home, drink, and torment Jorge.
I didn’t have “Kintsugi” on my SB trial bingo card, AT ALL. Like, AT ALL.
And like, first line too 😂😭
Well technically it wasn’t, it was kinsoomgoatiogo
I doubt that anyone did. I had never heard of it until this convict described herself as gilt in gold.
She's writing her memoir
I rolled my eyes so hard i did a backflip
She's so full of cliches and thinks she is profound
Sarah’s statement to the court was pure projection.
& pure arrogance, pure delusion, pure nonsense, pure manipulation, pure hypocrisy, pure insincerity, pure cruelty (toward Jorge’s family ~ with an apology tacked onto the end of it), pure egocentric…….
Yes. But she thinks that it helps her. Like she thinks that the state's rebuttal exhibits help her.
Sarah makes me think of someone I know. She hasn’t committed any major crimes, as far as I know, but she makes a lot of impulsive and poorly planned decisions. She also thinks she’s extremely smart and better than everyone around her, continually alienates friends, coworkers, and family, and blames everyone but herself for her poor life choices. Yet, she goes to the very people she badmouths, expecting support in a crisis.
You can't tell me Sarah didn't write that bs that her pen pal read. Lol
💯 All I could think of was that video in which she was coaching Jorge on what to say to the judge on her behalf to get a$$ out of trouble.
I had the same thought
She wrote it. Anyone on a kidney transplant list should know that incarcerated individuals can't just randomly get tested to see if they match a non relative. Testing isn't cheap. State ain't just paying for it without it being medically needed
That part killed me she was not sad about the jury finding her guilty but for the fact she could no longer donate like come on
She forgives the family???! Nothing should surprise me when it comes to her but my god.
Omg I cannot believe the pen pal called in and gave that outrageous speech. The audacity of Sarah Boone has shocked and surprised me once again.
I would happily watch another trial with Judge K just to see him run another trial.
Emily, I come here for your commentary, I could not get through it without it. Please don’t change
I love Judge Kraynick! All business and no nonsense
She turned down 15 years, for that… that moment. That’s what she wanted… what a dummy.
Sarah's determination to put her ego ahead of her own best interest will never cease to amaze.
Insane isnt it😂😂
The person who thinks Sarah would have donated a kidney...
It was like hearing your grandmother defending the guy from microsoft tech support who told her to send him 10 grand in walmart gift cards. I don't think any of Sarah's character witnesses could have actually helped.
Thank you. Replay crew
🙋♀️ Emily, that was just a treat to watch this along with you! Thank you so much. Unlike a few others, I did not mind one bit when you would pause for commentary … so there’s that.
I’m glad he likes to talk a lot - similar to Sarah 😅 - and he hung around much longer than most usually do. Was *very surprised* to hear that they were *both* surprised at the sentence. Borrowing one of your favorite words… That was wild!
Looking forward to what lies ahead with the case, and I’ll be keeping an eye open for your video. Appreciate you. Have a fabulous week! 💜🖖
If I had to guess, the judge assumed that nothing said to her would matter and she'd just believe she's the victim forever
I think he knew it would bother her more for him
NOT to speak to her.
Agreed. He saw her as recalcitrant and an unredeemable criminal. End of it.
If there were any doubt about SB intentions her statement eliminated them.
Emily is hilarious, and so informative!! Love it!! NO BS!!!
Replay crew here in Ireland! 🇮🇪 that thumbnail of her frowny face makes me laugh everytime I see it 🥴
She really thinks that makes her look like a precocious little girl, and that it will convince someone to let her have her way. It's just disgusting.
IMO
I think its poetic that the judge didnt give any further comments. Sarah cause tha case to drag on for years. Sarah hasnt stopped going on and on and on about how nothing is her fault just for the to say "life sentence".
I think he tries to be neutral as possible.. or he sick of Sarah bs.
I think he was so done with this woman that extra words weren’t needed.
EDB I laughed so hard when you said “we have now reached the she found Jesus moment”. Those impact statements were heartbreaking to hear.
Jesus is not a get out jail free card. She now has lots of time to read the Bible.
*_"Ken-to-sue-go-roy"_*
I brought this to my brother, and he bent over the back of a chair because he was dying inside. Also, she deadass wrote the first line or so of the kintsugi Wikipedia page 💀
I think it is extremely telling that not a single person who knew her before her arrest was willing to speak on her behalf.
Life means life in Florida
BEST NEWS EVER! GREAT JOB JUDGE.
I’m glad the judge didn’t give her any attention really. He just read the sentence. Shows that he is so done with her and her shenanigans.
She would have loved a lecture from the judge so she could regale her cell mates with her story even more.
The system didnt fail sarah boone.... sarah boone failed sarah boone....
The system failed Jorge Torres.
The psychologist should lose her license to practice. Her testimony was a hogepodge of hearsay and speculation. There was NO FORMAL EVALUATION OR THERAPEUTUC HISTORY. ZERO. OUTRAGEOUS BS. A health professional absolutely cannot diagnosis with no evaluation or formal assessment, only hearsay.
I actually was impressed with the number of records and interviews and photos and documents and tests that she had reviewed or conducted. When I heard the state ask her if she had ever reviewed the jail records and she said no I was shocked. This had to be deliberate, selected by her or the attorney. It does not matter which. It was outrageous as you say.
There's a reason that (as she claims) no prosecutor has ever hired her as an expert witness.
She does not have the judgement to be assessing anyone. She believed Sarah without reservation. Dr Werner figured her out in 2 hours
@@croach2194Owens said it was his decision not to review the prison records. That should have been a red flag for her and she she had and ethical obligation not to testify.
@@annylaurie422 I completely agree with you. I understood lawyers could determine whether to call an expert or not. I never thought they had the power to tell them what they could and could not look at. I think any expert who agree to that is less than ethical as is any lawyer who tries to manipulate them like that.
I'm glad to hear Sarah is such a big help to all the inmates. She can do that helping for the rest of her days!!! 🤣
I'm sure that she's super helpful to the people that she wants to manipulate.
Judge K for the grey rock win. He handled that perfectly with no commentary
😂😂😂😂😂 emily is the effin best!!! The pen pal was straight stand up comedy!!!! 😂😅😂😅😂 her face, her comments! Gawwddddd! Code red was definitely a green light for me!
"Did you order the code red?!"
Emily you are the best! Your reactions are priceless!
Had to catch half of this on the replay. I commend the judge for keeping his comments to himself. She doesn’t need to use anything for her appeal.
Sarah is the kind of person who would find $5 on the street and complain that the coffee she bought with it was too expensive when they gave her the change…
scratching the barrel of testimonials for the defence. No long standing friends or family who can say a good word about SB.
I'll admit I was expecting the Judge to say something. But after some thought and reading comments with points of view on that, I believe it was, if I dare say, intentional. Where would he start anyway. With the heinous crime, her attempt to manipulate the legal system for years , the serious & baseless accusations aimed at legal and jail staff including the judge, zero remorse, the never ending self victimizing, the never seen bf level of self entitlement and the delusions and lies she refers to as the tip of the iceberg, Judge K has his own iceberg to address if he cared to. Someone commented in not saying anything probably bothered her more then anything he would say, she has no character substance or integrity to process the awful person she is, so why bother
In this case Judge K refraining from comment couldn't have been more fitting. He said in silence Ms Insufferable Boone, Ma'am I've had enough of you good luck and Bye.
Grey rocking.
It was a very polite “now get out of my court room”
She was so self-righteously indignant.
I feel so so sorry for the family having to listen to these ppl sarah brought in. Expecially the pen pal. Rly sarah willing to donate a kidney but couldnt give air to her boyfriend.
She claims that she wanted to donate a kidney. Not sure they'll take a pickled organ, and there's no information on whether or not she was even a match. The court also wasn't going to delay the trial so she could do it.
@@doom4067. Someone said during trial,that it couldn’t happen !
She got some damn nerve to get up there and read that
She will ruin her own chance at parole every time she opens her mouth.
It is my understanding that she will never get parole under Florida.
Florida doesn’t have parole. Convicted individuals spend 85% of their sentence and then are released. It’s via their Truth in Sentencing Act.
@@courtney4173 As best I can tell from "Google Esq.", Florida eliminated parole in October 1983 for most crimes, and by the early 1990s for the rest.
@@courtney4173 Yup, florida has life without parole. Her only chance is a new trial and I think her little tirade blew it for her
@@courtney4173 correct. A life sentence in Florida is exactly that a life sentence. We do not have a parole board except for old cases. A judge does not need to say life without the possibility of parole, because a life sentence is exactly that a life sentence.
Yes the impacted statements are so emotionally yes .Bless this family. Im watching the replay. Thank you for all you do
I didn’t think Sarah could stoop any lower then she did at her trial….until I listened to her “apology”. My God, how disgusting and vile can one person be. My heart goes out to the Torres family
They walked out.
As they should have! I can't imagine how painful this was hearing 😢
EDB is informative and so entertaining. 😂 I enjoyed that episode a lot
Yes!!!
I can only tolerate SB voice because of EDB.
Emily’s face when SB started with that deadly diatribe .. 😂😂 well that was the whole ‘global’ lot of us 😂wth ??!! I loved your reactions cos they were echoed around the world ❤😂
I had to screen shot it
I have to go back and find that. I watched the livestream on another channel, then switched over to catch Emily ~ who never fails to nail it down.
Truly. I had a real “is this play about us?” moment listening to that. 😂
Sarah - “Planet Earth - please forgive me”
Planet Earth - “we respectfully decline your request” ✋🏻
Thanks for helping me learn about the criminal Justice system and understand it’s unfoldings
😂 back to ambulance chasing for Mr. Owens!
Notice how there isn’t a single reporter waiting for him after that interview.
His client did offer payment in publicity. He only had a finite time to collect on that payment.
Judge was done with her. Nothing else to say. He wasn’t going to give her the satisfaction of hearing anymore.
And she apologizes to literally no one
There's no one that she could forgive for this. No one did this but her.
she forgives herself.
But didn't u hear her tho, she forgave everyone including the court. (Sarcasm) For what reason, who the hell knows.
@@boiri 😂😂
The people have spoken. They have credited you with zero lesser downward departures.
I think she has been reading too much self help.
Did anyone else pick when she said "he poured alcohol down her throat"?
Her statement was an absolute disgrace. That is when I changed my mind. I went from 50 years to life in my head. Loved the look on your face Emily. She says she is a follower of God. I beg to differ. What about George he is gone forever from his entire family.
As if Sarah Boone would've tolerated an intervention by the Torres family????😶
They kept Jorge away from her and she harassed and berated them and begged them to get him back to her
When he tried to leave she ripped his documents.
@@mariee.5912When was that revealed about ripping up this documents? I had to stop watching the trial once all her abuse came out, it was too triggering.
She’s unhinged and blaming everyone except herself. Classy Sarah.
Gosh... she sounds so mad. Also, everything she said seems to be contradictory to every piece of evidence.
Just wanna say the only people who would speak for her are people she met in jail
Pathetic.
Yup not her son, not the father of her child, none of her family, none of her friends prior to jail.
