I think Judge K's decision not to make any personal comments during sentencing was actually very deliberate and effective. Considering Sarah Boone's history throughout this trial-rejecting multiple public defenders, representing herself at one point, and delaying the process for years-it seems clear that she had been manipulating the legal system and creating drama at every opportunity.
By staying strictly procedural and not responding to her outrageous statement, the judge avoided validating her inflammatory remarks. A scolding, while satisfying to hear, would have given her words more weight than they deserved. Instead, his silence made it clear that her comments weren’t worth acknowledgment, and the focus stayed entirely on the verdict and justice for the victim.
In a way, ignoring her diatribe was more powerful than any lecture could have been. It shut down the theatrics, upheld the dignity of the court, and ensured the sentencing was about the victim and their family-not Sarah Boone’s attempt to center herself in the narrative. A masterful way to snap the cover shut on the case and bring it to a close.

It wasn’t until one of the folks in chat brought up the subject of Sarah‘s son and how she failed to mentioned him at all. Great point! I guess it’s just another indicator of her immense self absorption, her main goal of getting out her endless blames & gripes, etc., that she couldn’t even find one or two sentences to talk about her precious boy. How sad. Had that been me, God forbid, in that circumstance, I think my child might be one of the very first things I talk about. I especially enjoyed your sticking around for the post interview with the attorney. That segment was eye-opening and I loved your commentary that played along with it. I’m glad he likes to talk a lot - similar to Sarah 😅 - and he hung around much longer than most usually do. Was *very surprised* to hear that they were *both* surprised at the sentence. You neglected your child when you weren't in jail and harassed and manipulated everyone including your son in jail.
You got involved with a man who had some flaws but no history of abuse and you abused him and harassed his family and manipulated them.
You stayed in the relationship. You are the manipulator, abuser, and the boy who cried wolf.

Brian’s son quit visiting her at the jail or talking to her on the phone. SHE is the reason why they moved across the state and legally changed their last name. He was being bullied at his old school near her and was not doing well. His new school is protective of him and he’s doing better. Brian’s son is 14 and a judge will listen to him if Brian’s son wants a protective order against his egg donor if he wants one. Another case I followed, the son wanted a court order out of Arizona to NOT have his egg donor contact him and it was granted. He can contact his egg donor if and when HE wants contact with her. I hope Brian’s son does the same.

Brian's son is fortunate to not have her in his life at all. Imagine knowing nothing but her world and then suddenly getting to experience a completely different life.

For the first time in almost 5 years, even after the verdict, and the denial of a new trial, Sarah’s shoulders are slumped as the reality of her situation is now realized. If there was any room in the judge’s discretion, that evaporated as she testified that, “I am sorry that Jorge did this to himself”. Owens can go and check now on who slipped on the wet floor in the supermarket back home. We all know the disingenuous reason he took this case. When is a lawyer from Milton, FL going to get a CourtTV interview? You know he gave the reporter his card without her asking. Wait wait my card!

Not surprising. Victimhood and martyrdom couched in benevolent “forgiveness” with a heaping dose of thesaurus. Disgusting person inside and out and she deserves longer in jail. Always the victim.

Edit: I’m not saying she has anyone to forgive. I missed a lot of the trail. I’m just saying.. you can clearly she see forgave not one person she claims to have forgiving.

Her statement was an absolute disgrace. That is when I changed my mind. I went from 50 years to life in my head. Loved the look on your face Emily. She says she is a follower of God. I beg to differ. What about George he is gone forever from his entire family.
