A cuple of comments to this video. You have to take the head rest piece before folding the back seat (you dont need to move the front seat). The 2020 and before models had AWD option, and for some time now the new Trax doesnt have that configuration, they only come with 2WD and smaller engine, so you have a bigger car with just front power and a smaller engine, so its a good city car solution but it does not meet the requirements for an SUV.

Awesome comparison Mr. Dave B Sells Chevy, this is a definite improvement for sure. If you are available, can you do a comparison video of this new Trax to the Chevrolet Trailblazer? Thank you for your entertaining uploads, keep up the great work and sell some vehicles!
I thought from the very beginning of the leaked specs that the 2024 model was going to be a huge seller, especially when other manufacturers have discontinued that price range. The only question is, can Chevrolet make make enough to meet the demand?
Sources close to the matter tell GM Authority that 2024 Chevy Trax units will be allocated to dealerships using the following three factors: 40 percent based on Chevy Cruze units sold during its final three years 40 percent based on previous-gen Chevy Trax units sold over two years 20 percent based on competitor performance in a dealership’s local market (if the market sees a lot of sales of competing models) Simply put, dealers that moved a plethora of Cruze and Trax units should receive a greater allocation of 2024 Trax units.
Quick question Dave. From watching this video I think I see that the seat belts are not adjustable. Is that correct? Some of us are much shorter than you. Lol
Yes the previous generation Trax was either FWD or AWD from the factory. No on/off control like the new Trailblazer or Equinox. The new 2024 Trax is strictly front wheel drive
Looks FANTASTIC... How's that horsepower in regular, everyday use? It strikes me as a bit light, but GM's been using this engine for a while now (in the Trailblazer, and now here. I'd imagine they know better than I do). Is it enough in the day-to-day? In a hilly city?
Well done, Dave B! If I didn't already love my Bolt EUV and needed an ICE vehicle, the Trax would be at the top of my list! In fact, I hope GM considers making a future budget Trax EUV (U standing for Ultrium) to replace the outgoing Bolt EUV.

New 2018 Chevrolet Malibu LS went for $14,995 ad price from newspaper in Ontario, CA. Over 30 at this price. New 2018 Trax went as low as $15,995 ad price. New 2018 Buick Encore went for $16,995. Today is different now, due to inflation.
To be fair, if the new 2024 Trax is a 2018 model year instead with same style when it came out, it would go for $18,995 newspaper ad price. Not too far away for $21,500 today.
The design of the new Trax is certainly superior to the old one. Hope GM would replace the digital gauge & infotainment screen with non-reflective glass, or at least add a matte film. Also, a naturally-aspirated engine without direct injection would significantly enhance its long term reliability.
I specifically bought my 2021 Trax because it was the smallest AWD vehicle that Chevy made. Not only is the new Trax bigger than the old Trax, but it's even bigger than the Trailblazer. And no AWD available on the new Trax! The new Trax has less ground clearance, one less cylinder, and less horsepower. It's going in the wrong direction for me.
Chevy did the same with the engine on the Equinox. They discontinued the 2.0 turbo, and kept the 1.5 turbo. AWD adds additional weight to the vehicle, and a bigger engine would help. I rented a Equinox without AWD, and it had the 1.5 engine. The 1.5 moved it rather well, and it kept getting 26 MPG city and highway combined. I really enjoyed the Equinox while I had it. The Equinox also had a roomy interior. My 2017 Cruze hatchback gets 32 combined city highway. What gas mileage does the new TRAX get?
@@braetonwilson4296 Well the AWD Trax is FWD 99% of the time. The AWD automatically kicks in when it senses wheel slippage in the front. It has gotten me through mud, ice, and deep snow many times.

*KL* VIN, so they're assembled in Korea. South Korea is a strong military ally, so I suppose that's better than China at this point (like some Buicks currently sold in North America). I dunno, I've always tried to purchase vehicles that were assembled in the United States because that means there's at a minimum a factory job for an American with a livable wage (for me personally it doesn't have to be with UAW labor, but it's a plus when it is), but I also get that this is how we're going to see affordable vehicles stick around. They're pushing this new design language hard in the crossovers. All those glossy screens make me want to cover them in the stick-on antiglare coatings, lol. But all that aside, thanks Dan B for giving us a good "real world" side-by-side of the two. It's one thing to stare at those brochures, it another to see two actual vehicles that are one generation apart next to each other, and insight from a Chevrolet salesman that's been selling the old model since it was new.
Christopher, good point. I'm not sure if that 1.2 liter turbocharged 3 cylinder engine will last 10 years or the fancy tech screens inside. Definitely buy the official GM backed extended warranty (finance manager will try to persuade you to buy a third party extended warranty but say NO). If you're buying a 2023 Corolla, no need for extended warranty but this 2024 Trax is a different animal.

Zero manufacturer cash rebates and zero dealer discounts on new 2024 Trax, unlike the new 2020 Trax back in 2020.
@@braetonwilson4296 you said $9000 in your other comment..
@@DaveBsellsChevy I said $9000 in my area but that doesn't mean the discount will be the same in every state in the USA. We worked together in the bank Dave, you know math lol.
Mpg?

Got my 2RS two days ago. In the first 5 minutes of driving it. I got a notice to schedule service soon. The blind spot detection is already messed up. Korean crap. I had a 2021 Trailblazer. The turbo charger went on it $1,500 repair if not under warranty. Trax has the same engine. More Korean crap.
Turbo is covered under warranty
@@DaveBsellsChevy yes it was as I stated.
Is GM going to come out with a Ford Bronco competitor?
Not that I've heard about
@@DaveBsellsChevy We need a real Chevy
Blazer
Nobody in my state has one in stock..ugh
Remote start?
Yes, in both vehicle in this video
The old Trax looks like a Cruze. The new one looks like a Blazer/Camaro like front end.
I honestly thought Chevy would've discontinued the Trax once the Trailblazer returned a while back.
Are you only selling 2024 Chevrolet trax??you should be talking so good about BOTH vehicles
I don't mean to be negative, because it is a big improvement, but, to me, it looks like a smaller Blazer. I think I would rather have the Blazer.
It definitely shares some Blazer styling, especially the front end.
The screen on the dash is horizontal not diagonal, but I would have messed up many more things if I did this review.
Its measured diagonally at 11"
@@DaveBsellsChevy Oh, I stand corrected, I did know they were measured like that.
Just remember to get the best extended warranty GM has to offer, you'll need it.
An extended warranty is good for any car on the market depending on how long you plan to keep it
Christopher, good point.
The 3 cylinder is a deal breaker for me. Lovely vehicle though.
Only gripe I have is them not offering AWD on the new model. Hopefully they’ll offer it in future years because I’m definitely interested, but need the AWD where I live
A car that’s 4 years newer, a lot more tech, yet it’s cheaper. Wow. Lot of cost cutting. 😊
1.2L TURBO engine?? That's concerning, that's a small engine to handle a turbo.
Is it going to be a detriment that GM took away the all wheel drive option?
No, people would just go to the Trailblazer
The 22 Trax has the upgraded 1.4 liter turbocharged engine with higher specs
Any word on chevy blazer ev or equinox ev
Hopefully we'll start seeing them before year end
Id take one if it was phev
You guys keep increasing the size of the compact suvs but not everyone wants a huge vehicle they are just looking for the height. Also the lease prices are out of control. I leased my 2020 with zero down except registration fees and paid $209/mo now they want over $300 a month. I know I negotiated a sick deal to begin with but after covid the prices have skyrocketed. Also the equinox lease deals are cheaper than the new trax deals.
2 squished lemons in front of front two tires suggest an Indian buyer
You'd be correct
They dropped the ball with the engine
The trax it’s awesome safe car I hit deer totaled the car, but I walked away.
You only have to sell one, to sell a ton lol
