Say what you will about Red, but a lot of guys would not have voluntarily re-joined their old band - twice! - after they'd found greater success elsewhere. And for that, he has my deepest respect.
I was 25 when this song came out. The song is older than I was at the time! Imagine a song coming out celebrating 1997? Emo, Titanic, Diana, Notorious BIG, Men in Black, Spice mania
@guild93 The performances I have were Lay Down Your Guns, Make It Last All Night and and Little Baby(?) and that was 1990 ... they were live and not mimed too!
I use to play this song at My cousins farm house...It was a nightmare the night I told everyone I would play this record for them, and the electric went out, due to a mammoth storm. So disappointed was the gang...We never shared that moment again.
@TheGraham246 Wrong, this was taken from my own VHS recorded at the time. Presumably you use the same AKAI VHS player that sometimes adds the "Play SP" at the start? More than one person in the world uses such a machine and more than one person records a clip 20 years ago, and you start assuming it's all yours? Unless you worked on the program, it's neither yours or mine anyway, right? Jeez. No need to get hysterical or possessive about it.
Great band, right to the end. Original songs...& original outfits all thru their career.
Thanks for sharing this upload.
This is the last ever performance of the Hooks with Shirley out front.
This was it for them. But what a great way to go out!
Miss you always Shirley. RIP :(
Good song ... Even though Mr Happy Hippy Hut songwriter Greg became a Lawyer afterwards. Not sure how long he lasted.
