Also the gameplay quality was frankly pretty average for a Ganon montage(though still far better than your standard scrub memetage) and some people get salty over these types of montages getting more attention and views than strictly skill-based ones from competitive players.

+HeavyLobster43 When I initially made this montage I thought the clips were pretty above average, but as I've improved and gotten better with Ganon, I can see where you're coming from. Also no more memes, even I didn't really enjoy them at the time.
Man but i need the jokes and memes on montages, they make them funnier and not so repetitive to watch like "I killed you, now i killed this over guy, and did the same to this guy here" The jokes help.

NinjaKing Gaming When edge guarding, you can no longer prevent a recovery by grabbing the ledge. One of many reasons pros feel that Smash 4 is casual shit. A few times you did just that, probably out of muscle memory. Or maybe you never played Melee and have no idea what I'm talking about; but from the way you fight it makes me think otherwise. You're pretty good, even though most of your opponents in this video were cleary trash.
Kusagari Blues I do it so I can drop down and edgegaurd them. I know you can't hog the edge in this game like melee, which I have played a fair bit in the past. Smash 4 is my favorite smash game by far.
As far as my opponents being trash, your right, because it's For Glory. People suck there. A couple in this video I remember being decent though.
I wished i could get someone like this playing ganondorf, the only thing i see in For Glory are Side-B spammers and Rich Bayonnetas, i f*cking hate Bayonneta

Probably my favorite Ganondorf montage I've seen so far. All the other ones just involve a Ganondorf getting in lucky(and hilarious) hits, but you're wrecking them bro. Excellent reads/combos/meteor smashes. All very good. About time I see another good Ganon player, I was starting to think I was the only one. lol

When I play Ganondorf, after grabbing someone with Side-B I always follow with a down smash. It covers in front and behind you, so if they roll or just stand up they get hit. After awhile people usually catch on to this, and may try to quickly use invul frames to attack-stand up, so I start to follow with ganon's low kick from the grab. This usually sends them into the air, from there you can air combo them ad nauseam.

1. Severely underestimated and underrated
2. Extreme punish game
if you can learn how to read opponrnts and use moves to predict reactions, you can put some serious work in! Learning to play Ganon can really help anybody to play better, no matter who you main.

+MelodiousBlitz Thanks! I do go to tournaments, but I rarely use Ganon because he's so risky. There's a few tourney matches where I play him that are uploaded on a channel here called Star Subway if you've interested. I'm Bagel.

I love this video for 2 reasons:
1. This proves that the tier list are a terrible thing to go by when picking a main and any character can work (this is coming from someone who's played as Zelda since she first started playing)
2. The captions. Just... The captions.
I've mained WFT since the 3ds days. In the beginning us WFT mains had trouble. We couldn't even HIT kirby and puff bc our hitboxes were too small and dumb. We thought there was no hope for her (I don't say him bc you suck if you use male wft lol). And then the buffs happened. She is now mid tier and a very good character, and I'm glad I stuck with her the whole time. I'm planning to go to S@X soon, but I'm gonna build up enough money for travel.
While I agree for the most part, I do think the tierlist gives at least a good idea of what characters people think are good, and which ones are getting results. However I started using Ganon only because he's super fun.

NinjaKing Gaming I do agree. You won't usually see a shulk win a major like many sheiks and Rosa's, etc do. However it does not mean you can't be good with him. I had locals last night and our grand finals were Wft vs ganon (I made it to grands but got bodied there). There were about 12 other people using top tiers. So while top tiers do show better results, it does not show more viability in my opinion.
Time to renounce myself as a Ganon main.

Thanks for the nice video, I really enjoyed it, I especially like the title of "Salt Lord". However, as a Ganon main, I have to point out that MOST of the presented stuff will not work on a tournament level. If the opponent doesn't block, roll, airdodge or simply doesn't know how to react to Ganon, then yes, in that case things like in the vid will happen all the time (and let's admit it - it's awesome). But on a higher level of play, in Smash4 Ganon is completely out-manouvered and out-gunned by the competition. He lacks offense in the sense that he barely has any moves that are hard to punish HIM for doing when they whiff or hit the shield. He lacks in defense due to his low speed and lackluster (at best) recovery, which will constantly get gimped. He has no projectiles, and no way to defend himself against them. He's got a cape, but can't reflect projectiles. His grab range is ridiculously short (given his long arms!), and he has hardly any followups from grabs. He's got a sword, but doesn't use it. He knows all the dark magic in the world, and fights like a pilot in a certain racing game.
Even though it doesn't look like it in the video - if there's any character in the game with a bitter need for buffs, it's him.
+Alan Darkworld I'm glad you enjoyed it, and I completely agree. Even though he's been buffed a lot, he's definitely still lacking in some areas. I go to tournaments, but I almost never use him in bracket, misreading opting for Shiek or Roy. That being said, Ganon has a lot of tricks not many people know about, and I look forward to sharing in my upcoming Ganondorf Guide!
Waching this again after about a year... you relies this would never happen, Ganondorf is good but no one is that predictable. but this is some great motivation to start picking him up again I gotta say lol
Looking back on this montage I only think a few combos/reads hold up being hype now. I've become a lot better with Ganon and I'll do a new montage at some point.

If you DI correctly, you can easily combo Up-B after the Side-B to Down-Tilt. Only works on some characters.
