- I had a lot of fun making this video, at least at the start I did, I did a lot more walking than I intended, but hopefully this doesn't happen to others, the product is being shipped back for a full refund shortly.
A good E Scooter is hard to find.

Had one of these sprayed it all matt black! It was often mistaken for some high end 4k scooter, but in reality was real slow max speed on the road 20mph, 500w struggled up hills, weighs a ton! Only real good thing about it real smooth on long runs
Yeah I loved how smooth it was, but was honestly embarrassed when people were looking as it looked like a really good scooter, but in reality, it's slow and heavy.
@@DubCodes You won't believe this but I bought another one! I have decided I can live with the snail like speed as it has rolls royce levels of comfort, rolls well as long as you don't go uphill! One thing I do find is despite my 22o lbs weight it has good range

i got my money back and still the scooter 28.6ah i will modify it will cost me about 1000.00 nevr again will i be conned like this ona scooter
Chinese here. I had bought Q18 about a year ago, actually I purchased a Q5 with 36 volt 8.8ah setup with 400 watt motor, and it fails. (display error and abrupt power delivery) I refunded and bought Q18 instead. 48 volts 10ah setup with 500 watt motor. (later changed to 1000 watt motor) It did not fail on itself, but I crashed twice and damaged some stuff and had to repair it by myself. I am bad as a biker.
Instead of using it as a scooter i've been using it as lightweight motorbike, with the seat. And there is a 4 degree (or 7%) uphill at the entrance of my company. I weight 125 kilograms or 276 lbs- too heavy for such a bike.
The Q5 fails to go uphill, so does the Q18 with 500W motor. It is ONLY the Q18 with 1000W motor succeeds at around 7 kph. (Online dealer: the 1000W motor does NOT increase max speed but instead increases torque, acceleration and uphill performance.)
The top speed of this bike is around 40 kph actual. The display is not accurate- actual speed is around 0.8x the display said.
PS: The front suspension is EXCELLENT. I tried (quite risky an action until tested) driving perpendicular off the sidewalk with a square curbstone (square edge- no curves) and 30 cm fall. No accident happened and I barely felt any shock.
I have the same scooter I only have the scooter for four days and have to sell it because it would not pick up speed
@@adoptmetraining1743 You probably need something more powerful. Or you didn't set the "gear" (level of output) correctly. You definitely need to set gear 3 if you want go fast.
This bike was never designed to go fast even with the 1000W motor. Its top speed is around 40 kph.
I had the 500w incredibly slow but built like a tank. Almost indestructible!
As I suspected..they tell,you their 400 watt model can get up to 40kph, climb graded hills, run til tomorrow...then they tell,you 400 watts is peak power..its husky build and hi end config has you ready for a speedy bargain.....dude, anytime scooters peak is 400 watts, it's motor is 200 watts..good for about 5 minutes of thrills..i know I need at least a 350 watt motor, like the aovopro, which really has 350 watts, higher at peak, sustained for the duration.
Their ads tend to show peak wattage, so I rake it that what I'm really buying is a scooter with half the advertised normal wattage, and less than 60 volts..they advertise fire hoses, but what you get is the garden hose with no nozzle, that you hold your thumb over the opening to build the pressure to make it squirt
If you use the fastest speed it will lessen your range.. the slower you are the longer range you can get
correct and if you always use max speed long enough your controller will not last long. soon you will replace your controller if you always in gear 3
Yeh, I , I paid £861 for a scooter from SEALUP and the controller and monitor failed after 4 weeks. SEALUP insisted on me paying $40 for replacement parts and transport... Beware anyone buying from this supplier...

you were lucky enough they replace my controller for free. maybe you use your scooter in max speed that's why your controller didn't last. same as me
Also: It is probably the steep slope that screwed the Q5. It is too heavy a load onto it.
These scooters must be waterproofed, there are many gaps near the backlight, where water can get under the deck.
It should be reliable only with good waterproofing.

I was planning to buy sealup q22 model but after this video I hesitate to buy something from this company. Do u have any suggestion about this company's other products ?
I haven't seen or used any of their other products, but did find the build of this scooter to be pretty good, but it's clear that some corners were cut to save on production cost.
Sadly I did not have a good experience with their product, but this is only one instance, I could have just been unlucky.
I would advise you look into it, googling it and seeing if anyone else with the same model has any complaints.
If you're buying it only, budget in the cost of returning it, I brought locally so the return shipping wasn't to bad.
Also make sure the company your buying from has a return option.
Hope this helps, and I hope you have a better experience than I did.
@@DubCodes as you advised me, I made a search and I found out that there is good model of this company, it's sealup Q22 model, and the newest model of this company and I'm curious to buy it. Let's what is gonna happen after testing it I hope I will not have a bad experience with it.

Sealup scooters dont last I wouldn't suggests buying one
owww really i already bought 1 dang it! 2months already still working im just not running it in full speed to avoid breaking the controller or overheating issue
You are aware that some of the well known escooter brands are just rebranded sealup escooter,right? Btw, it is not a dual hub motor. Dual hub motor is perfect for uphill climbing..the escooter you have on the video is cheaper for a reason
I was gonna buy a q8. Too many bad reviews. I will stick with Xiaomi.

i just got a scooter from this company they are rubbish i own 6 E scooters and this is the worse one.
it folds on you while rideing.
i was going 15mph - 20mph and it just collapsed on me , good job i had some body gear on , NO HELMET ON , things could of been way worse , i smashed my hands 2weeks ago due to the scooter collapsing on me , hand still healing now ???
i had issue with seller of trhis scooter and guess what ???
they block me ( the scooter company the manufactures )and spoke ill of me , i got my 1000.00 back out of them with a so called refund
( i demanded my money back took over 1 month to solve,,)
i will fix this scooter get everything changed will cost me about 1000.00 , i will make it a duel scooter but first the collapsing stem needs to be resolved as its not fit for purpose.
Wonder what battery you used, how did you charge, what range did you get at flat road ect.. the review could, together with the ebike, be a little better ;)

I just bought 1 and when I plug the charger in it beeps and the light stays green and wont charge. Do you know anything about this.

@@bridgesofhopenam4978 I wouldn't buy it from over seas, as over seas replacements or refund can get very expensive with such a large item, factor this in when making a large item purchase, can you afford to return it
I'd be cautious, one thing I left out was the speedo is off by 4km and the battery indicator seemed to be useless

Sadly I had to return to sender, once the video was finished it stopped charging and I got a refund. Currently I'm running a Segway nine bot e2, and I love it, I only wish it has more power and speed, it's great for general travel around town, but it fails on hills, I'm often walking it up hills, I do have future plans to buy a better scooter, but at this point I'm still searching and saving.

@@DubCodes Thank you for your answer. It seems to me that you had a Q18 in a first one that you replaced with a Q22, is that it if I'm not mistaken? Currently it seems to me that they have a Q23 I hope they have corrected defects of the previous versions on this one.
@@tangodelta9906 only had the one Q18, would have been interested in testing out another model, but to be honest it really doesn't seem like a good brand from what people have been saying
I have a sealup q18 any way of making it go faster? Through settings or anything
