I'm a Chinese，I want to share to you that a province called Yinchuan is a Muslim city, almost all the food offered is Muslim standard, it's a nice place for muslim travelers to go!

The owner calls the meal in the white foam container, the Niú Migāo. It means “cow rice cake” in Chinese. The savory flattened buns filled with beef and cabbage are called niu rou xian bing that are shaped like hockey pucks. The Osmanthus Cake is prepared in Xi’an, China. It is a yellow cake made out of sticky rice topped with red date paste made on China.

We went to Xi’an 3 years ago. Walking along 500 mts full of street food near The Beautiful Old Mosque. And all halal. Something that we didn’t expecting exist in China. Wooww

I thought I'd done a lot of research before my trip to Xi'an, but I didn't find anything about Xi Chang. I recognize the cake and the pao mo. Your wall footage got me in the feelz because I lost all my photos from Xi'an before I could back them up.
Go during late autumn (October), winter (try to avoid the north because of coal-fired power plants, also avoid Chinese New Year), and spring (before May). Bring different seasonal outfits because the weather/climate in China varies like crazy
That city wall is amazing! So well preserved! Everything you picked is right on today. I'm most impressed with the beef bun, though I prefer things baked in tandoori ovens, Chinese food is so greasy! That soup is a regional trademark, and you're supposed to break the bread into smallest pieces possible, and looks like you found a really nice shop for it. Besides food, scenics and touristy stuff, I'd also like to see local lifestyles, way of life, what they think, feel, and believe in. I think that'd be very interesting, and see how food tie the whole culture together.

You could find best food in back alleys, deep into the city usually. Variety and quality of the food looks like among the best Chinese food.

We visited through march and April and it was very pleasant! Can get really hot in the summer! also china is huge so it depends on where you go!
