Why do mosques in China have Chinese architectural styles? Because they started in the Tang Dynasty, just like Buddhist temples, they also have Chinese styles. In the Northern and Southern Dynasties and the Tang Dynasty, all religions that entered China were required to build in Chinese styles. These Chinese-style mosques and Buddhist temples have existed for more than a thousand years. The BBC reported that the Chinese government was trying to destroy Islamic mosques because the Chinese government requires that mosques must be Chinese military buildings. The BBC is a media habitual of lying.
among all the foreigner vlogs I love yours the most. You apparently know how to do the plan ahead of your trip and you are kind and gentle to Chinese people. You respect the culture and are brave to try so many different stuff. Xi'an has so many tasty food and some people call it the city of carbs lol.
Besides Shanghai and Xi'an, Chengdu and Chongqing also welcome friends from all over the world. Chengdu is the hometown of giant pandas, the United Nations awarded the title of the food capital; Chongqing is a city of mountains and rivers, with a magical three-dimensional transportation network
Glad you like my hometown, even though im not a muslim, but its always a big part of my life, after going abroad and met some muslim made me realize how friendly they are
My American professor visited Xi'an many years ago, and when I visited him several years later in the States, he said he had the best dumpling in Xi'an, and that his mouth was literally watering when talking about it. 😀
Doug my dear a while ago I saw you in Iraq Baghdad in Karrada specifically and I missed you 🤗 You have a person dressed in black and an honorable person. I was happy to see you often❤.
Hello Doug! I'm glad you can come to this great city of Xi'an! I have lived here for four years and attended college for four years. Seeing all the food and places in your video reminds me of the days I used to live here. Thank you for sharing such a real side of China, thank you again!
Thanks for the video. You are really brave and daring for traveling alone in Xi'an because I am an oversea Chinese. Last time I went to Xi'an was 40 years ago and I joined a tour group so I was led to places where the tour guide showed us. May be I should revisit the city again. Keep it up!😀💯👍
I love your channel, man. So many UA-cam travel vloggers are so judgmental and disrespectful. I won't name names, but some of them are very popular. They see everything through their Western (often American) lens, and are always saying and doing things on camera that seem downright rude. I appreciate that you always make an earnest attempt to speak the local language and to embrace the local customs.
Your video is very real. I love it. Please not over edit your video, the more real your video, the more I feel like i was there with you, traveling.. 👍👍👍
Damn, you did your homework so well! As a local who grew up in this province now live in Australia, I can tell all the food you picked are very unique to Xi'an and authentic. I miss the cold noodle (LiangPi) so badly. I eat this as my daily breakfast when I was there. That will be the top 1 food must eat next time when I back to China. Thank you for bringing back my memory!
Great educational and entertaining video. There are many other travel vlogs dealing mostly with food, and touristic places to visit and of interest. Adding info on where to stay, cost, location, etc would make it that much more informative and helpful. Cheers and all the best!
I've been to Xi'an during my undergrad years, and it's really beautiful, and the local food, including meat buns, goulash chicken, and lamb in water pots, is really good!
Wow! You're a real foodie, I'm living in Xi'an, and some of the snacks you tasted, only the Local people know. you probably did a lot of research before arriving.
awesome stuff! you researched ahead on which noodle dishes to try out? I know these Xian style dishes are rare to find in California but when I do they are great.
You gotta be the only UA-camr who loves spciy food. Those who do not take some of the Chinese food with any of that hot stuff have no idea what they are missing !
you eat so much the night😂,I have tried that lamb soup, when it cools down, there is a thick solid lamb oil on the top,so much calories, can't believe that you go on and eat two deserts😂
That "jelly" like stuff in your first breakfast is most probably tapioca or maize powdered starch which is commonly used to thicken soups and some other dishes.
Xian was known as Chang’An in dynastic China. Was the alternate capital together with Luoyang basically until after the Tang dynasty. Sesame is an important ingredient in Chinese cooking. We use it for both sweet and savory dishes, quite a bit.
China has a huge land and rich resources. Different areas have different dialects, foods, and cultural scenes. I hope you can visit different places, learn about different cultural landscapes, and show as many features as possible. Thank you so much for all your help for China.

My American professor visited Xi'an many years ago, and when I visited him several years later in the States, he said he had the best dumpling in Xi'an, and that his mouth was literally watering when talking about it. 😀
Awesome China vlog. Love your little interactions with locals, especially that adorable curious shy little boy!
