I really hope it will be great and wish the game all the best cause I love Silent Hill franchise very much, but everything they are showing us is just very very indie quality for an $80 price tag... Even Hellblade 2 was $50 (which looks 900k miles ahead of SH 2 Remake...)

it's bad because there was absolutely no reason to remake this game. this game on it's own is hugely iconic and regarded as one of the best games and it still holds on it's own very well (I am playing it for the first time right now and it's absolutely amazing)

you are the problem then,,no offense but the Gameplay portion looks mega bad. The old saying graphics ain't everything,,,gameplay matters to. You see him swing the board at the nurse and the pipe and even shoot the gun. The gameplay is really plain jane. No weight behind those melee swings and the guns seem real shitty. Have you seen resident evil 2 remake...that came out 6 years ago and that combat is amazing and looks brand new. This combat looks like its 12 years old lol. Gameplay is boring as fuck.

@@DaturaPlays Animations aside, most perplexing thing is, when this game came out, it evoked so much emotion, the characters who are vastly low poly than many games today had so much charisma and depth, which made this game a classic.. I don't understand how did they managed to ruin it all
the thing is that in regards to environment, they are doing a great job but some aspects of the gameplay are just wrong. an inventory system would have been much better than streamlined healing. Silent hill is not an action survival horror game. The same issue is with the voice acting. They sound like regular people but say the things that the unhinged characters of silent hill 2 say. James in silent hill 2 original sounded off, he sounded like he wasn't fully there so him saying the things that he would say sounded okay. Moreover, like i get the whole "don't sexualize all women" stuff and what not BUT the whole fucking point of maria is that she is a projection of james sexual desires. She is literally sexy version of his wife. She is his fantasy girl. She should look extra provocative and have an air of allure to her and attainability. I would have been fine if they even changed her outfit completely to give her a more modern appeal of what james fantasy could have looked like. dip into what looks attractive by modern standards if you must. they are so close to cracking the code in some parts but drop the ball completely. Like why the fuck would james investigate the spot from which there were monster or crazy animal noises. In the original all you see is a vague figure running into the fog. So it is understandable for him to think "hmmm this could be a person". in the remake its pretty much "ahhh he sounds like the hounds from hell. lets see if i can pet him." like they got the wrong message.
Couldn't agree more! Let's just hope all these changes are intentional with a proper story tie and explanation. We shall see in October. I am definitely playing, just not raising my hopes too much.
Exactly, SIlent Hill takes in between places, not in reality. Getting a voice acting direction that is just like every other property out there destroys the tone and uniqueness of Silent Hill. If james is walking through a dream filled with symbols of the unconscious then everyone should still be talking like they're in that dream.
I am on the fence about this remake. It's almost as if they're trying to mirror what made the RE-makes so fun, but coming up a bit short... I do love the atmosphere, they capture that beautifully, but I am going to wait until I read reviews or watch/and hear what UA-cam-Gamers think before wasting 83.00 after tax for this one.

Sorry but your reaction was all over the place, you had a lot of bad takes, overreacting and also insanely shitty comparisons, I do find the animations really stiff, not a fan of Maria's clothing change either, but that doesn't take away the fact that this game looks very impressive graphically speaking, the acting is pretty good and so are the facial animations, which adds a lot for the immersion (imo). And also the fact that you compared the game to Hellblade 2 in the comments? Ninja Theory had Xbox backing them up the whole development so of course they would have ended up making something absolutely marvelous. Konami is not the same case, they don't make games anymore and the treatment they gave to Bloober Team was incredibly shitty, So comparing these two just because they use the same graphical engine is soo farfetched; in the end I really hope you're gonna end up giving it a shot and eat all of your words if the result is amazing. :)

It’s looking a bit worse than Until Dawn from 2015💀 Check out 4k trailer and see how there are so manny visual glitches - Angela’s sweater in the first 10 seconds is lagging insanely, her feet stuck in the carpet later on… everything just screams 2014 😭 Also back to Hellblade, they charge $70 for the BASIC version of the game, while H2 is $50 max. Oh and let’s just not forget it’s blooper team, which haven’t released a single memorable game 🙂↕️

@@DaturaPlays I do think the visuals look good, Until Dawn looks amazing because it was so graphically demanding at the time that not even the PS4 could get it running to 30 fps, that's why it holds up to this day and they're remaking it for the new generation, there's something about 2015 game graphics that holds up really well (Rise of the Tomb Raider for example), but the visuals look great, the interiors are well made and I'm stating it because it's notorious, is the animations that are weird AF but I'm still gonna give it a shot because the original SH2 wasn't known for its great animations or glorious combat either, lmao, it was always the atmosphere and storytelling, and I really hope they nail that considering the acting, facial animations and graphics are more than decent.
