      What size spacers do you have to run to fit 15.50 tires or did you not have too? Thanxs

    Why’d you swap it? Eventually when my v10 craps out I’ll swap it but for now I love everything about it

      So people would stop saying, "too bad it's a gasser" lol jk I wanted more power and it was super easy to do. It's more efficient and the aftermarket support is insane compared to our V10s.

    I’m planning on doing a 3500 dually here soon, how long did it take you to do for swapping wires an also for changing gaskets?

    • @shawnedwards2700
      @shawnedwards2700  Рік тому

      Wires weren't much work other than all the new harness ties needing replaced. Maybe a few hours but ive done many harness replacements before. Gaskets took 2 days. There was alot of cleaning involved. Replaced gasket for oil pan, valve cover, oil filter cooler housing(which was leaking the 2nd most), rear main round seal and housing seal, front main, timing cover, vaccum pump and seal (#1 worst leak in my case), tappet cover, thermostat housing, water and oil pump got new gaskets too.

      I live in Central Arkansas. I've scrapped the idea of putting the V10 in the grey truck. I'm thinking of maybe putting it in a single cab short bed 4x4 2nd gen instead. Currently busy trying to find another parts truck with a 1 ton Dana 80 rear axle and 6 speed.

    Can you show were the oil pressure sensor is on the v10

    • @shawnedwards2700
      @shawnedwards2700  Рік тому

      It's right above you oil filter. The entire sensor unscrews after you unplug it. Do not over tighten the new one. Quarter turn past snug.

    Motor mounts for the v10 were the same for the 24v?

    • @shawnedwards2700
      @shawnedwards2700  2 роки тому +1

      On the frame yes. On the engine I'm not sure if they are the same. I went ahead used the Cummins mounts tho.

    How much did it cost roughly to swap to a 24 valve cummins

    • @shawnedwards2700
      @shawnedwards2700  2 роки тому +2

      I got a good deal on a parts truck for only 4k. Then with new gaskets for engine and trans, and fluids, about 2k. So maybe 6k and about 120hrs of my own labor. If I had paid someone else to do it they quoted me 25k minimum and 6+ months. I did it myself for less than a 1/4 of that price and it only took me around 2 weeks after I had everything ready for install from the parts truck. It's been 5 months now and I've dailying the truck since day one.
