Awesome! I’m building almost the same truck, 96 f250 with super duties coil front 12v p pump nv4500. I do really like the idea of a zf6 and ford t case tho. You were actually a huge inspiration on the project I actually bought a 24v and p pump conversion because I was going to do the same. unfortunately a 60k Km 12v p pump fell into my lap so I went that route, not that it’s something to complain about lol
@@brock3231 Heck yeah! Good luck and have fun with it. Taking the time to do the swap correctly will save you years of headaches and doing things twice
Awesome truck! My dream truck is an 01-07 f250 extended cab short bed with a 6bt and 6 speed. Maybe one day. My 06 cummins works fine in the mean time. Had to get away from my L5P because of emmisions 😂
Inspiration for me. Have a 96 350 Reg cab, 460 auto. Trucks been sitting for 27yrs. Been wanting to build a Fummins for It's whole dormant period. I've built it several times over on paper, each time with changes. You've done many changes that I've planned since my first parts list. I've changed engine/trans combos several times. Manual trans swaps included. I've settled on a slightly stroked 6.7l with an Allison 6spd. Did I mention the inspiration you just instilled in me again? 1st, I gotta find my notebook LOL
I'm actually looking at some cclb OBS F350s, either a Bricknose or Aeronose, for the same project, lol. Being a Ford OBS guy gotta love the CCLB OBS F350s, lol.
Awesome truck, my friend had a 24v rebuilt and had the same issue with the plugs missing causing low oil pressure and it ended up causing him some damage that the machine shop took care of, unfortunately he had to take his whole truck to apart again.
@@notchback93 Glad to hear it wasn’t just me, but sucks to hear what can be a consequence of this! Only takes one time… I’ll always check from here forward!
What a beaut, doing the same to my 96 crew 350, going to do a manual swap but to find a zf5 or nv5600 in my area is like trying to find a needle in a haystack, and if you do find one its sacked out for 4500
@@tuckerfinnicum3949 heck yeah! Good luck with the swaps! Finding those trannys around here is somewhat difficult as well, and half the time they’re 2wd.. but just costly yup.

I'd love to put a 24v 6bt into my OBS Bronco. I don't know a crazy amount about cars, enough to build and tune them, but this engine swap seems like it may be out of my capabilities for a while lmfao. How much did it cost you, if you dont't mind me asking?
@@WeMakeItWork it’s quite the doable swap actually. So much info and conversion parts available as the months go by and the swap’s popularity increases. Swap can cost as little as $5-$10k realistically, all the way up to $30-$35k depending on the depths of the build and engine mostly. I categorize my build into engine build (everything engine/transmission/t-case related) and truck build being chassis, suspension, axles, etc. My engine build ran around 30 and truck build ran another 15. As far as actual conversion parts needed for the swap… maybe $2-$3k. Motor mounts, driveline length adjustments, transmission adapter plate, little wiring, conversion clutch OR just have your ford pilot bearing machined into dodge flywheel to use existing clutch…….
@@kyle__turnipseedamazing info! My budget would be like $10k currently so it seems like I’ll have to wait a decade or so when I have a house and garage of my own. Thanks for the quick response, I’ve subscribed to your channel here. One day my bronco will be a broncummins.. or broncum..? 😅
This whole video makes me mad. Older metallica, a near rust-free frame up restore/build, a p-pump 24 valve, AND a zf6. AWESOME. ALL OF IT. I have a 1999 7.3 and the rust is such an asshole.
Srsly man. I used to have a 92 7.3 Turbo 4x4 in Cali that a guy used in Alaska for a few years.
