Owned my '95 for 21 years now. Not a daily driver, just for those times when you need a truck. Hauled everything from gravel to film crews, sheet rock to an industrial laser. Bring a good book to pass the time while filling up the 35-gallon tank.
Nice truck. But OD off doesn’t put you in a higher gear. Instead it locks out over drive saving your overdrive gear from burning up when towing/hauling. TLDR : stops transmission from hunting for gears and floating in and out of overdrive. Saving your trans from damage
That color combo is classy! I love Dodge trucks from the 90s, Dakota, Durango, Ram. I personally have a 99 Durango with the 5.9 and love it. It was in the family since new, and I owned it since I got my liscense. Flame Red and Caramel Brown cloth, I always get compliments when I take it out. Anyways hope to find something similar to this example but manual. I generally prefer manual, but I have heard the 47 rfe is a little bit more durable. Than the 46rfe in mine that has had to be rebuilt twice.
Wow! Thanks for sharing. That’s so cool to hear. And I really appreciate your support of the channel. That Dodge sounds pretty awesome. I hope you have a great night and definitely consider subscribing!

Awesome amazing awesome.........awesome, awesome, really nicely, has he ever really turned on head lights? Not slow, accelerates nicely, awesome, awesome. That should sum it up.

Hey nice truck!! It's good to see someone appreciate a clean and well maintained vehicle. I got my 1997 v10 about 4 months ago. It only has 86k original miles. Was well maintained too. I am using it to pull a 20 ft travel trailer soon. So still learning things about the truck. I live in Carson City, Nevada so this winter I took it for a spin in there snow and wow it performed great. One thing I have noticed is that the first 5 miles of the day it appears to hesitate in shifting gears. Not bad though just slightly. Should this be a concern and have you noticed that? Great video!!!
That’s so cool! Thanks so much for your support of the channel. As for the gear shifts, no I have not noticed that. Always very smooth for me! :) consider subscribing! Thanks so much
I know this was a year ago but can you give me a short ownership update? Just bought a 95 with 140k on it for a 28' fifth wheel and wondering how it's gonna handle
Thanks so much! It’s a really unique color. Consider subscribing for more truck content to come. I’ve got a lot more diesel trucks I want to film :) thanks for your support of the channel.
Jorge Palma; A 2003 wow it's nice to see a fellow Gen 3 truck with a V10 owner. I can get 12 on the highway if I'm careful without pulling anything. Mine is a standard cab long bed 4x4 with auto trans.
Thanks so much ! It’s a great example. I sold it a short while ago - are you local? I might be interested in selling other trucks at some point! Cheers
No, when the light is on the overdrive is on and when the light is off the overdrive is off. That’s at least what I can remember. It’s a very intuitive push-button system. Thanks for your comment and consider subscribing for more truck content!
They say V10 will pull just as good as commins.....over 300 hp almost 500 torque ....I talked to rancher's they have V10 They pull them big heavy live stock trailers with a load of cow's horses all day.....if I read it right the v10 was to compete with the commins ....but not the gas mileage....👀
Just got a 96. Really good condition, 4x4, manual transmission, 98k miles, 8L V10. They're pretty sweet trucks. Climbs like a mule.
see but i thought if it aint deisel it aint good

Haha that’s awesome! Thanks for sharing, and I like the book idea when filling up! 😂
I didn’t realize how bright green was till now .... wow that truck has more features than my RAM truck and mine is a 2010!
Haha! You’re kidding! That’s wild! 😂 and yes it is quite bright. Definitely consider subscribing, lots more truck content to follow! Cheers
One of the only guys that can flex the actual condition of his 2nd gen.
I have a 99 2500 long bed love it,in my opinion best ram generation, no fancy leds or big screens of today's truck's beats this body style
That’s exactly right! They really were great trucks! Thanks so much for your comment. Consider subscribing for more truck content to come!

how does the od work on this truck? light on means od is off and when the light is off the od is on?
