The freaken cutest video! You are so genuine! I subscribed for hair tips, but more so because you are being your authentic self and I love it! Felt like a friend!!
We are on the same journey. I’m loving my straight natural hair. Sometimes I have a itchy scalp and is causing my hair to shed. Do you have any tips for me please?
Hi, thanks for watching! I also found that when I first started I was shedding a lot. I couldn't tell if I was actually shedding more or if it was new because the hair could actually fall. What I have done is grease my scalp near the first week mark. Just the scalp! This has helped me. And I also hear that dry shampoo works (however, I haven't tried dry shampoo but it is on my to do list). Let me know if this helps! I am excited for our journeys! More hair, grow healthy hair!
Yes, I’d recommend dry shampoo. You do not need to grease/oil your scalp because you’re scalp is already producing sebum. The buildup of sebum, dirt, sweat etc is what’s causing the scalp to itch. Adding grease or oil just worsens this. Just comb your hair at least twice a day to distribute the sebum. Once your hair starts to get oily, start using dry shampoo everyday until your next wash day to help get rid of the excess oil. Once your scalp starts getting too itchy it’s time to wash your hair (this is why type 1 and 2 girls wash their hair so frequently). You do not need to worry about your curl pattern changing if you learn the proper technique and products to use. I went back to straightening my hair weekly over a year and a half ago and my curls haven’t loosened up at all. I have fine, low porosity hair (type 3 on the curl chart). I also switched out my tools to help cut down on style time. I used to use the revlon blow dryer brush but that took me close to an hour to blow dry all of my hair. Switched to the silver bird blow dryer and I can blow dry in 15 mins. Hope this helps!
@@__HappilyMarried Thanks for the comment! Let’s help each other out! ❤. Thanks for sharing your regimen and not gate keeping because it helps to know how others do it! It gives us options until we find what works for us. I appreciate it.
@@fini_jones of course! I can even be more detailed about the products I use and my specific routine. It’s very simple and you really don’t need many products. Let me know!!! Merry Christmas! 😊
@@__HappilyMarried That would be very helpful! As I don't use many products either. Aussie Moist Shampoo, Conditioner, and 3 minute miracle deep conditioner, their spray leave in, and oil or grease when needed. I am now on the hunt for a new heat protectant and dry shampoo when needed. Thanks! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you!
