True story: Back in the day when this stuff was first airing, I used to introduce friends to DW by showing them this episode first. It’s virtually a full reset and explains the whole show by the time it’s done. Really great starter episode.
15:03 It's not just that she's similar to Rose. This scene was made to show us that when the Doctor has no companion, he tends to forget about "small things" like a dead man on a the floor because he's focused on problems on a larger scale. Don't forget he's an alien, a very very old one, so, he tends to forget those smalls things that matter to fleeting creatures like human beings, and his companions are here to make him remember the importance of those "small things" Remember how he showed no mercy in the previous episode towards the spider queen but Donna was here to prevent him to lose himself into that dark Timelord side of his.
David Tennant has trouble saying the ‘ooh’ sound in an English accent because of him being Scottish in real life, so to be very friendly Russell T Davies wrote ‘judoon, platoon, upon the moon’ into the script 😂

@@BritanyBinges Oof never mind then XP
Looking forward to the next one!
It will be out in about two and a half hours. :)
I a lot of people like series 3 and some people it’s a good series when I rewatched it
I like Martha immediatly and i little disapointed what they do with their charactere in futur episode
You may have noticed by now, Doctor Who has a habit of recycling actors that played minor characters in previous seasons.
Martha is better than Rose, she's more mature, caring and confident right from the start.
I do still prefer Rose over Martha (I do love Martha, though), but I would have to agree with you that she definitely was more mature, caring, and confident from the get-go. Their career paths instantly showed that.
I’ve subbed
Thank you! Happy to have you join us on this wild adventure! :)
You will change your mind
About what?
@@BritanyBinges preferring rose
@@iz723 I just started series 8 and Rose is still one of my favorites. I do love Martha but, if I had to choose between her or Rose, I would choose Rose. 🤷♀
@@BritanyBinges Oh wow.
I always think of Paper Mario Color Splash when watching this episode. With those straws and all. A good episode. Series 3 is so much stronger than Series 2. Thank's for a great reaction 👏
I have no idea what Paper Mario Color Splash is. lol But, I'm glad you enjoyed the reaction! :)
@@BritanyBinges That's a video game in the Paper Mario series & it the game itself is for the Wii U, which wasn't actually Nintendo's best selling console. It only lasted for 4 years & it was immediately overshadowed by the Nintendo Switch in 2017 which 6 years later, it is selling really well, i have one myself.
Hi Brittany how are you?
Feeling a little under the weather, but I've been sick for the past two and a half months, so it's not really anything new. How are you?
Good sorry I'm late replying had stuff to do.
Im watching all of your reactions for the first time now and i dont know if you have figured out but Martha is my least favorite companion. I generally skip her season when i rewatch. Lol
Martha > Rose.
Fight Me!
No need to fight... everyone is allowed to have their own opinions. :)
You are actually aloud more audio than video.
Unpopular opinion: Martha is better than Rose.
I'm not sure how unpopular it is. At least based on the comments I get. A lot of people love Martha, and a lot of people dislike Rose.
