Definitely an amazing 🤩 Seiko monster for sure . Everything you’ve said about this watch is spot on . The one thing I’ve noticed immediately that you didn’t mention is that this is the first fourth generation monster with an all stainless steel bezel . No black or ip coated bezel. That’s what I’ve been waiting for . It’s not in the budget for me now but hopefully when I can afford it it’s still available. Thanks for an awesome detailed review on this fantastic Seiko and glad to see you’re enjoying and liking it so much 👍🏻💯
You are correct. I did forget to say that this is the first 4th Gen without an IP coated bezel. And the funny thing is that I actually had that written down in my notes to say during the review. I just forgot to mention it. Thanks for watching, I really appreciate it.
About a year ago I added this monster and the SBDY115 as well. So impressed with these two new fourth generation Save the Ocean Antarctica Monsters 👍🏻💯
Super watch, so beautiful, brutal, masculine. When a husband puts them on his hand, you understand how they suit him. I never thought that such an accessory as a watch can emphasize real masculine qualities!
My wife bought me the Antarctica icy edition and the box is waaaaay bigger. Just a couple of downers: not a sapphire crystal and the bracelet has broken twice. Keeps great time though.
very cool watch, I wish they would have put a no-date-day or day complication in it (the dial is so nice) and thrown on a anti-reflective sapphire crystal and this would have been legendary
Nice watch man! I don't mind pressed clasps as long as they are made well. I find they are thinner than a bulky milled one. And the cut out on the sides are from monster claws! ;-)
Excellent review! Great Intro! I was expecting David Attenborough to start telling us about penguins ! BTW, I'm based in Turkey right now, and we usually get the Japanese made ones here!. This is a lovely watch but for me the only true monster has sharp shark teeth and no magnifier!! Gorgeous dial colour though.
Ma786sai dua truly like all your videos an absolutely great review. I almost bought this 4th Gen. but after seeing the 3rd Generation Jade, SZSC005 Jade and Navy SZSC003 I happily acquired these 3 3rd Gen’s instead.
after your video i bought it and i love it,b who cares about accurecy when the diel is so special. After i survived covid, applyed for collage and beeng aproved this was my victory peace and i had to do it!
I got mine today its k not j but everything is aligned perfectly and the bezel has no play. Its much more beautiful than you can see on the video. The only thing is the clasp. Can anyone direct me to a replacement quality clasp?
Im considering the baby tuna and what I like about this model compared to other save the ocean is that it is very unique cool design with a real story unlike the other save the ocean that looks like a james cameron dblue.
Interesting video. It would, in my opinion, be a good idea to purchase a Timegrapher to see the accuracy measurements of the clocks you pass here. It's just my idea.👍👍
@@maverickwatchreviews Yes, I know that. But the same movement rarely comes with the same tunings. I like to see it, but it's my opinion. Thanks for the answer. Continuation of good content.
Ill be honest with you, I do not prefer the third gen. The Antarctica appears to be far superior. Just my preference and I just do not like orange dials
Its a nice watch except for one thing; it's difficult to actually TELL the time on it which--and I'm going out on a limb here--is the final purpose of a watch. The silver/white hands on the light blue/ice dial make it hard to read during the course of the day. They could have used a darker silver and some red or orange at the tip of the second hand. Nice jewelry though.
It’s not hard at all?! It’s actually far better than any watch with a white dial and silver hands. I don’t know which UA-cam video you got this opinion from but you clearly don’t have the watch.
$380 is a good price now (5-2-22), but you are most likely seeing a "K" model that does not say "Made in Japan" on the dial for that price. A "Made in Japan" dial one will increase much faster in collectability and value over the years.
Can I ask,do Seiko actually give part of the profits to any kind of save the ocean charity's? I really hope they do or it's kinda pointless, they are all beautiful the (save the ocean watches) but if they aren't trying to save the ocean it's a bit sad to be honest 🤔
Surely an interesting dial. gonna add it into my wishlist. Ive been crazy bout the padi monster cause of the dual color lume, but never pulled the trigger. Can u make a revisit video on all your citizen promaster diver? I notice u have a lot of promaster vids. Rgds.
Aaaand it's gone. The bezel seems to be a satin finish, in comparison to the 3rd gen. The crown sticks out way too much. Bezel action is too loose. Doesn't feel like a monster at all.

@@maverickwatchreviews you’re very welcome and thank you as always for the awesome 😎 Seiko reviews 👍🏻
Just purchased this watch today from a local Seiko authorized dealer in my area . Can’t believe how impressive this watch is . It’s amazing 🤩.
About a year ago I added this monster and the SBDY115 as well. So impressed with these two new fourth generation Save the Ocean Antarctica Monsters 👍🏻💯
I got mine last weekend. A favorite now for sure.
Such a great piece for sure 😍
Ordered mine today. Watch no. 105 in my collection. Can't wait to get it.
Super watch, so beautiful, brutal, masculine. When a husband puts them on his hand, you understand how they suit him. I never thought that such an accessory as a watch can emphasize real masculine qualities!
I’m getting the JDM Penguins watch with the deep blue “teal” dial. SBDY115
Freaking love it!
Your enthusiasm is contagious :D nice review!
Glad you enjoyed it!
My wife bought me the Antarctica icy edition and the box is waaaaay bigger. Just a couple of downers: not a sapphire crystal and the bracelet has broken twice. Keeps great time though.
Huge bummer, the JDM models should have a sapphire.
very cool watch, I wish they would have put a no-date-day or day complication in it (the dial is so nice) and thrown on a anti-reflective sapphire crystal and this would have been legendary
I wish Seiko would bring back the sharks teeth on the dial. Then it would be a "monster" again.
Got both the happy feet (This one) and the darker blue with the penguins swimming. LOVE them
I just bought this one from an AD. It's absolutely fire.
When I saw it in store the dial hypnotised me and forced me to buy it 😂
I just ordered this from Amazon for $300. Can’t wait!
how in the world u got this for 300 bucks, nice deal
Seiko is absolutely amazing brand
Everything I love except the lug width. Personally I just feel at this case size it should be 22. Beautiful watch
The lug width is 20mm but the bracelet goes out to 24mm then tapers back to 20mm after 2 links. So it wears much bigger than a 20mm lug
Just brought one as my daily watch , really looking forwards to getting it
Great video! I have the padi monster, loving it.
Cool watch!
The blue dial is interesting and nice to see.
Beautiful watch. Congrats. I wish I would have gotten a blue coral back when they came out. Missed that train.
Well if you're ever seriously interested in mine let me know. I might part with it for the right price.
Bro!! That intro was amazing lol making mine look bad lol. Great review truly enjoyed it. ALWAYS!! KILL IT! We're now Antarctica Monster Bros!!! 😂😂
Thanks brother.
Nice watch man! I don't mind pressed clasps as long as they are made well. I find they are thinner than a bulky milled one. And the cut out on the sides are from monster claws! ;-)
I agree, the stamped clasps don't bother me that much either.
Love this one. Going to have to get it. I have the Jade Monster, another beautiful watch, which has the 6R15, but loving this Antarctica version.
Excellent review! Great Intro! I was expecting David Attenborough to start telling us about penguins ! BTW, I'm based in Turkey right now, and we usually get the Japanese made ones here!. I asked but Sir Attenborough was busy😁
strangt how people hate the cyclops lol and heres me only wanting watches WITH the cyclops
Thanks for the review! Subscribed!
Stunning 🔥
The cyclops is a nice feature in my opinion. That is, if it's not crooked....
Ma786sai dua truly like all your videos an absolutely great review. I almost bought this 4th Gen. but after seeing the 3rd Generation Jade, SZSC005 Jade and Navy SZSC003 I happily acquired these 3 3rd Gen’s instead.
I'm addicted to these. I'll be picking this one up this month.
I'll make you a great deal: maverickwatchreviews@gmail.com

Do we have to lock the crown every time we unscrew it?
Yes.
Absolutely!!
The monster dial on the Oris would be nice. The rest of the MonsteBriteling is little too shiny for me.
Looking like a ghi moment for me gotta have it! Awesome
Go for it!
Love the watch !!
SEIKO: Cyclops: Optional. Crystal: Sapphire - non optional. Clasp: Disappointing - Please improve. Price: Much lower please Seiko!

@@maverickwatchreviews thank you!
Does that mean that the movement is not made in Japan? Are there going to be different locations of manufacture for this model?

No need. Everyone knows the basic accuracy of these watches but thanks for the suggestion.

How to turn on crown to set up time
Do you think this watch will increase in value like previous monsters?
Not sure...time will tell.
Why wouldn’t it, it’s just gorgeous
The Penguins Feet Is A Little Lenticular.
Cool man.Like it.
Why is the box different from the other happy feet’s I’ve seen on UA-cam..?
Mine is the Japanese version = different box
Seiko really needs to improve on the clasps.....ridiculous at this price point. It is a great looking piece otherwise.
Ill be honest with you, I do not prefer the third gen. The Antarctica appears to be far superior. Just my preference and I just do not like orange dials
I disagree as the 3rd gen had the 6R15 movement.
Beside the box, is there anything else different between this Jdm and the international version? Thanks
JDM will have the kanji date wheel.
Its a nice watch except for one thing; it's difficult to actually TELL the time on it which--and I'm going out on a limb here--is the final purpose of a watch. it reminds me of the polar "baby monster" too much for some reason
Not happy with the price and getting a 4R36 and no sapphire. Mine looks great but not worth $450+.
Ma786sai dua I want to buy 2 monsters Gen 3, a black and orange. How do I get these from you? I’m in India. My friend will buy them from you in usa.

Is this worth buying for $380 new?
Sorry, I already sold it. I think you were the one asking about this?

Really nice looking watch, but would be better without that terrible Cyclops, sorry.
But no King Monster (no sapphire) yet.
Good point!
A king monster would be amazing. I usually don't mind hardlex but when it has a cyclops the hardlex typically gets pretty dinged up
done with seiko
Sick of special editions that cost twice as much as the already inflated retail price?
@@daveg7894 and the misalignments! lol
I hear ya but I'm still addicted to Seiko!
Ditto what I told Dave G :)
I bought this watch, it’s really really nice actually......
I much prefer the 3rd gen to the 4th gen. Don't like the day date. Hate the cyclops and the dial...
Just bought it. We will see if it's a keeper...
Aaaand it's gone. The bezel seems to be a satin finish, in comparison to the 3rd gen. The crown sticks out way too much. Bezel action is too loose. Doesn't feel like a monster at all.
@@Alainkonijn Did you just resell it? Or return it? How was the bracelet?
Its beautiful but the Heimdallr equivalent will be better for a fraction of the price
Lmao...never buy a fake.
The fake knock-off made in China? No it won’t be better. Go buy areal Seiko Monster. The Heimdallr isn’t even a homage, it’s a fake replica.
still waiting for orange 4th gen monsters to come out. Gen 3 and earlier are just way too overpriced
