Been checking out this watch for a while and just worked out a great deal for a new made in Japan one for 250. Couldn’t pass it up.
I really like this watch and wish I had one but unless you are getting a deal the price they ask is so high that you have to start looking at its flaws.Gret review.
I have the day version but I still weight whether I should have the night version too or not or save my money for Seastar 2000

The candy bar magnifier ruins it.
I like how the monsters differentiate the minute and hour hands by shape.
I have the one you are reviewing. I love it, my wife bought it for me. I think this one is certainly more legible.
I,m a Seiko fun, Seiko Monster Fan.... Current Gen.#4 is sweetest, most butyfull, amazing Generation!!!! Seiko has made good upgrade, if compare it with predesessors.
Orange Monster 4, I been waiting for it since Gen.4 releasement. Still hope/still waiting for.....
I hope you didn’t send it back because the JDM version is proven to be higher quality than the other ones made in China and so on. I’m actually looking for this watch JDM.

@@maverickwatchreviews It’s completely tangible. Put the two next to each other and you will see clear differences in quality. Case, dial, bracelet, everything is better on the Japanese version. The dial for me is the most striking difference when I saw both together in person. Next is the bracelet with clear fitment and quality issues on the Chinese version.
@@antonmarkov1635 It's not tangible at all as both watches are identical. But if you think the Japanese watches are better that's your opinion and you're entitled to it.
Not a 100% sure but, I believe some models/special editions may all be manufactured at the same facility and just have the appropriate tag attached based on what part of the World it's headed to for sale.🤔

Is the sbdy105 better than srpg57 ? They both say made in japan on dial only thing i see sbdy105 has Kanji day wheel. Anything else different? Better alignment or quality?

Great watch for a 6.25 inches this is one of the best fit for me. I am waiting for the orange 4th generation dial. This penguin is definitety bang for the buck seiko special edition not to mention 30% goes to saving antarctica. If you are into saving mother earth this will give thee satisfaction . This is my dress watch as well. I am in FB group and was laughing at someone trying to say shit about seiko and to found out he is into CCP watches. Lots of hypocrites nowadays.

Standard Accuracy - 35 to + 45 spd ? Seiko should be much Better than that.
Why should they be better? That's average accuracy for a non-COSC certified automatic.

I own this SBDY115 and the SBDY105 as well . Both are amazing and love them both . As far as hang tag and box I had the same issue. Both mine say made in Japan as well but the box number and tag 🏷 number say otherwise. I’m extremely happy with both my Save the Ocean Antarctica Monster watches 👍🏻
