You can find your camera angle really easy in betaflight using the gyro by tilting your quad until the camera is horizontal then just check the pitch angle. Thanks for the trick Chris.

Nice tip, but the gyro only measures the rate of rotation. I think you meant the accelerometer, which needs to be enabled (freestylers sometimes disable it) and calibrated. 👍

@@kandredfpvits the other way round..😊.. accelerometer measures rate of change, gyro measures the angle where its at.when u in acro mode u mainly using the gyro, and that is how beta flight calculates the drones flips on full scale deflection,or any deflection.. accelerometer helps in angle and horizon..u dont ne3d to disable anything.the betaflight and fc combo is smart enough to know when to use what

Hello Chris. Great video. I was using higher yaw rate earlier as I found easier to coordinate (but it was less than calculated rate with your formula) Now I know the exact value for unified stick movement !
Betaflight can implement this as I believe it has something with "Cam angle" in angle mode.
It can directly change yaw rate like "Cam angle dependent yaw rate" All we need is a developer with will to do it 😊

Hi Chris ! Good job as always but :
    1) freestyle is way more than perfect inverted yaw spin. The transition beetwen moves is like link in music. More important than the note themselves.
    2) rates are very personal and very complex to dial. Fix the ratio Y/R is just a limitation to expressivity.
    3) find your "personal rate" is more difficult than PID because there is no goal (critically damp response) :)

oh by the way, i have 2x aos35 frames and i beat them to heck, i really with the arms kinda touched eachother under the bottom plate because i sheered a couple of the little m2 screw now from impacting the arm many times and its sheering at the interface of the arm and brace plate because when you bang the arm into something its not actually locked in in any way its kinda just samwedged between carbon and able to exert a lot of force onto the screws, the arms bend upwards and bends the screw where it comes from the bottom plate through to the arm, or it sheers the screw head off if you hit more square on. i know its more weight but i would prefer the option of maby a drop in shim that you can run or not run that will lock the arms together once the samwedge plate goes on

Best place to learn, like any trick, is in the sim. If you do a full 360 or a 180, you don’t need to be perfectly level to make it look good either. Use the horizon or an object to try and find where your camera needs to be to stay level. Just takes practice.
All the best pilots manually coordinated inputs for about every trick. I’ve been using lower rates, and it’s taught me to coordinate even with simple rolls.
There’s no correct way in this hobby. So however you get the job done and you’re happy with how you video looks, go for it. Just my advice.

realistic way to do inverted yawspin is to flip upside down so the horizon is in the right place (your fpv camera is level)
that way you just need yaw input. it takes quite a bit of practice to get it down.
important thing is, that you give yourself enough up momentum, ideally you want enough momentum going up that once you are upside down your slowing down to make it look like your hanging, so the way and turn back right side up to catch yourself.

Emuflight has done this for years. Used to be called witchcraft. Now they call it "roll with yaw"

Nothing beats stick time. Go out there and burn lipos. Not even science can beat muscle memory.

Changing rates just to make 1 trick is not good I think
Just stick to your rates and practice
    Stick time is more important

I don't understand the point of this video. 99% of the time, we aren't doing yaw spins, so adjusting our rates FOR yaw spins is ... worthless. Everything else we do requires much less yaw than roll. Not more.
This isn't going to yield good results. Want better yaw spins? Put in more stick time. Learn where your horizon is and the relationship between yaw and roll.
