That was one of the best round up videos I have ever seen. I have been watching all year and I love the sympathetic work you are doing to a beautiful old home. The narrative as the video was going was brilliant explaining why you and Louie did things. Congratulations on a great 9 months of renovation

This kind of restoration is great on several levels. First, you've brought back a group of buildings to a condition that will ensure a home for you. Second, that same work will ensure the improvement of the immediate community. Third, you've learned skills that will stand you in good stead for the rest of your lives. And fourth, you've allowed local craftsmen and artisans to keep their skills alive and to pass them on to new workers, thus improving the economics of your community. I hope you enjoy your home, and continue to find projects to engage your community with.
So cute and even better she knows her construction and isnt afraid to get dirty! Building a dream for her family. Let’s give Louie some love here too. Very impressive couple!
Honestly how on earth did you manage to accomplish this much work in 9 months?! Astounded. I don’t even know how I’m here watching you rebuild this, but I’m happy I am. Great work!
I am at a loss why anyone would paint over that beautiful stone. So glad you were able to bring them back. Your home will be magnificent when you are done.❤❤
Not only have I became incredibly invested in your renovation but also invested in the two of you, what a wonderful couple you make and I love your taste in music. Wishing you all the happiness you beautiful home and hearts can hold.
You know there are a lot of older generation people out there who say young people these days are just lazy and they can't afford homes because they don't work hard enough and are too lazy. You two are defying the narrative of young people and showing a whole new generation what a bit of hard work and ambition and creativity can do! So awesome to watch your journey restoring and updating this estate home and making it your own! all the best for 2025! Hope everything goes swimmingly for you both this year!
@ one I think they're a bit older than 23 also I think they explained this they had bought and fixed up each two separate properties. And sold for a profit that means equity to purchase this house which they got for a great deal on 450k in today's world for a home that's really good if they spend another 200 fixing up a villa and restoring as much as possible that also adds value could sell for over 1m.
@@superjules21 Who cares about where their money comes from. This video show's a passion from a young couple to do something much of their generation don't have the backbone to do. I think you maybe thinking this is Belgrave in London but in fact this is in Swansea in Wales and they both had their own properties to sell to finance this purchase and they have also taken out loans and been given grants to the renovation. Oh and BTW they are late 20's not early but a lovely couple.

Absolutely the best “renovation so far” video I’ve seen. Excellent job with the voice over explanations, I’ve learned so much from your channel. Can’t wait to see the finishing touches now! Happy New Year
Wow,wow it is so lovely to see a young couple buying a old house and breathing such a fabulous sympathetic fresh life into it. Making new memories for your future ❤
Not only is the house beautiful, and, so delighted you kept much of the original details, but more impressive is the fact you still look very happy and did not kill each other during the process
This Texan is blown away how beautifully smart you have secured the support /inner guts of the house so that there are no issues in future. Great kudos for your work and detail to really important issues of a grand structure. Yes it will be a bit more fun once the rooms are designed and made complete. I liked the music you put this video to, it's a bit country western sounding somewhat like our liking is here in Texas. I love historical buildings/architecture and I look forward how you will do each room. God's Blessings to you both.
You guys are so Blessed to have Louis be able to do so many different jobs. Their doesn't seem to be anything he's not able to do. And if he doesn't know how, he's finds out and not afraid to learn. Because of that yous have been able to save thousands and thousands in labor costs. Well Done you two, Your both such hard workers.
Can’t believe the stonemason that’s removing the external paint isn’t masked up! 😷 Kudos to the pair of you. You’ve shown real integrity throughout this renovation and you’re not cutting corners. 👏
I just found your channel today, January 4th, 2025. I live in America and I LOVE watching people save old historic buildings! Can't wait to see what comes next.
A few months ago I sold an over 300 year old farmhouse with a thatched roof because there was so much to do that I had neither the money nor the competence to renovate the house. When I see what you’re doing, I’m more than impressed! 😍
No idea why I find your channel so fascinating, because I’ve absolutely nothing in common with you! I’m almost 60, and two of my three kids are probably older than the two of you. Following my divorce, I now live in a small 1970’s terrace house which was tired and unloved when I bought it, and the limit of my DIY experience, apart from undoing a LOT of bad decorating, has been ripping stuff out, helping my brother as a labourer when he installed my bathroom, and laying an admittedly slightly wonky patio. But I love watching how you’re restoring such a beautiful old house, and can’t wait to see how it all turns out ❤
Wow! Beyond impressive. You have really been meticulous in both covering your renovations, learning and embracing the process and in the work itself. Love seeing this recap.
I’m so very impressed with you both. At your age it had been so drilled into me to never take risks I would never have dared to tackle something like this. How exciting to see how far you’ve come! Thank you for the comprehensive update.
As someone who loves old homes, I am in awe of how you two have given this home a new lease on life. The amount of work and effort you have put into restoring this home is astounding. You two should be extremely proud of yourselves.
I’ve watched every video that makes up this recap but still found it absolutely fascinating and enjoyable. It really captures the vast amount of work the pair of you have completed. You make a lovely couple and Millie your perfect English I could listen to all day long.

Happy New Year, Milly and Louie! I have been following your renovation journey. Your dedication to restoring this old house to its former beauty is admirable. Watching this recap, I am blown away by the massive undertaking you two got yourselves into! Wow. You should be so proud of all that you accomplished this past year. I wish you the best of luck as you continue the work in 2025. Have a ball now that you've FINALLY gotten to some of the FUN stuff!
So many have followed you every step of the way. Feeling exhausted as we’ve watched you staggering up ladders with heavy loads. Been anxious as Louis smashed himself with the tool that fought back. Watching you drilling holes over and over. Laughing along at the bickering banter. Enjoying the music . I’ll miss those views from the top of the scaffolding. Thank you for sharing your journey.
Congratulations you guys. Love seeing young people with a mission and vision for their lives. Great video and excellent commentary Milly. Can’t wait to follow your progress. Hello from Vancouver Island Canada.

I have now watched dozens of these big restoration videos on old houses and this is by far the best. Just the right amount of detail, you explained the process and the work and showed it well. Not too long or short. Then, even better, you didn't suck the life from the house, but you added so much character back into it that it had lost and restored so much damage so it can remain beautiful for another hundred years. Amazing work.

I have really enjoyed this story, which I think of as Hermione & Ron fixing up an old house. Keep up the good work!
If only they had wizard-y powers !
Lol ikr😂
Job be great or job be small, do it right or not at all! Congratulations on a job well done. It will last at least another 100 years.😊
Wow! You and Louie have done a ton of beautiful work in just a 12 month period. Really well done‼️

Well to see 9 months worth of reno in 40 mins was just as exciting as it was back when we saw you doing it all in the first place, give yourself a pat on the back for such love and devotion to your beautiful family home to be, i can't wait to see the colours you choose for each room, oh and happy 2025 to you both ❤
As an “old” American, I absolutely love the music you used for this video. Killer good although I don’t recognize any of it. Additionally you have edited this video to perfection. I’ve enjoyed all of it. I hadn’t seen any previous videos but I’ll look for them after seeing this one. Great job, who needs Hollywood!
millie, your commitment to country music cracks me up. ♥️ proud to have you as a cowgirl.
Especially given her posh accent!
We talk almost every day about what you're working on and I see the progress first hand when I visit, but I don't think I fully appreciated how much you've achieved in such a short time until I watched this video.
I'm so impressed by your hard work, enthusiasm and determination and I'm very proud of you, my gorgeous, talented girl, and equally proud of Louis. 🥰xx
You two are working at a good pace. 🎉
I have been watching along for quite a while but, wow, when you see it all together you realise the absolutely mammoth task that you and Louis have taken on. You are doing an incredible job and it's fascinating to see it all come together. I am so excited for the next steps of actual decorating. I know it will be a lot of fun for me to watch and I only hope it's a lot of fun for you and Louis to do xx
I had already followed on for most of these projects but still enjoyed watching the recap. Amazing to see how much you’ve achieved since March!
I am so hooked on your channel. I love when people, like you, do these reno's on older places and preserve them. This will be such a beautiful home for you both.
Looking forward to watching your progress in 2025. Great video.
People honestly don't understand how MUCH insane amount of work, time and money it takes to restore victorian or older properties properly so they are future proof. Not just painting and fixing broken things, but making sure it doesn't continue falling appart.
That was an amazingly entertaining whirlwind of a recap Milly! Now that I’ve caught my breath 😮 I must commend you on your excellent taste in music as well. Does UA-cam give out awards? You so deserve one. Looking forward to what transpires in 2025. Love and admire you two dearly 💖
Love your channel! I just found it and subscribed. The music is fabulous.😊 Remodeling and restoring is high on my list of interests.

WOW! This is so exciting. And you are a beautiful and dear couple. I am so happy for you and look forward to watching this entire transformation of your grand and historic home. I’m from America, Living here. I spent several months in Germany and Austria decades ago. I love my European roots. I absolutely Love the architecture And always love seeing the architecture in the different nations of our people.
Your old homes are older than ours. Castles! I found one other channel that Did a complete restoration Which turned out beautifully.
Yours Will be yet more grand, Because of the bones and size that you are working with. I think this is absolutely wonderful that you are sharing this With each other And keeping it for your home for many decades to come I’ve only watched five minutes so far. I’m getting so excited that I can barely sit still Your nation and capture Is perfect. I can’t even imagine How incredible it is for you to be working with that kind of history and craftsmanship And discovering things like A window for a passage And original old door perfectly preserved!
The amount of work you've done yourselves is incredible. I'm looking forward to seeing more.
Love this content. Great to see young people getting stuck in and doing such a great job. Clearly not frightened of a bit of hard work. Good luck to you.

Wow! You have accomplished so much in nine months! Well done! This is going to be the most beautiful home. 😊
Contractors did. Questions is how much that costs?
You two are such a delight! It's incredible how far you've come in a short 9 months! I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for each new video installment of your unfolding story.
Louis excels at the building arts and has a knowledge base and eager ability to learn new skills that makes this look so much easier than it is. And, Milly, you have the most charming onscreen presence and a real flair for videography and editing. And nobody does a tour or retrospective like you do! Together, you're sheer genius! 💞
🎊Happy New Year to you both!🎊
I have watched several of your videos, but your summarization was brilliant. Well done! Looking forward to your 2025 additions.
