8:22 Hitting a home run on that wild boar, punctuated by it leaping off a cliff to its own death and making a realistic splash in the river was a beautiful gaming moment.
I hope the dlc will be a complete overhaul because the game took out a lot of good things the first game had.
25:19 Did anyone else hear Joe say "porn system" or was that just me?
yel
25:57 hehe porn hub
Yes and "pawn hub" sounded almost done on purpose lol
I have put 90 hours into the game and loved it. It's old-school design when it comes to fast-travelling and world design feel very refreshing compared to the extremely streamlined open-world RPGs that we're getting nowadays.
Although I do agree that the lack of enemy variety is a big flaw for the game. The combat being so good (arguably the best in an rpg) is the only reason why I didn't feel completely tried of the enemies by the end of the game.
Yes entirely to the whole travel analysis, more games need challenges to move around like death stranding and dragons dogma, it feels like walking a trail in real life and having to find alternate routes. Those are the most relatable adventures.
Also I definitely recommend the first game to anyone that liked 2, it's more dragon's dogma goodness
I had no idea you guys did a podcast and I am super here for it.
We have MANY hours of them too. Last year we did an 11 hour one 😅
seems to be the only platform I can watch and comment on,guess it's not a bad thing, love you guys,me.
whats fun is a review of the Game options, how the Keyboard works.
A trick with windows, is that Windows handles 5 button mice, past that you need a Program to control it, which add's lag. Linux can handle 29.
Which Might be another sedtion, that IF we can get a game running on Linux.
I'm personally looking forward to a Bitterblack Isle type dlc for DD2, and I think you really won't be able to rank DD2 objectively until we get that dlc, because Dark Arisen really did completely change up how the first game was approached, and is just the definitive version of the original Drogma to a point where you really cannot compare Dark Arisen to Base Dragons Dogma and have it be fair. I think everyone should hold off until we get a good dlc and see what other craziness people keep finding.
I mean, can you name another game where the sidequests can fundamentally change other quests depending on how you play them? I did the Rotten Drake at Melve before I ever went to harve village, and I killed the drake on my run by running up to the town ballista and two shitting it because it was far too strong for my attacks to even hurt it otherwise. This not only got me a unique weapon and master skill for the vocation you unlock there that my younger brother did not get when he fought it and merely drove the beast off, but the town chief at Melve had to flee because she erroneously claimed we'd killed the dragon (even though I'm pretty sure she'd already seen the real dragon, so she should have known the difference), and she ended up at Harve village.
My brother, on the other hand, sped ran to volcano island and so also got to Harve village earlier than me, and did all the quests there, resulting in the beastren villagers being banished. But when I got there, the chief from Melve stuck up for them and ended up taking over the village.
I would love to see more games with this kind of quest interactivity. It could be a long while before we truly discover the depth and breadth of this game. I really hope they do a BBI style dlc.
I'm back to playing Fallout 76, I think that in itself is enough of a statement on the industry
the finals?
FINALLY 🎉😮❤
Big boo on the no v-sync in the game footage. That instantly ruins the visuals of any game for me to see that screen tearing.
Yeah don't worry I hate it too, it's a weird technical thing that occurs sometimes for me when capturing some games and I cannot figure it out. It doesn't show up until after I've recorded it all. PCs are a nightmare
@@defendthehouse do you have an Nvidia card? Ever try using Nvidia Inspector to force triple buffer v-sync instead of the in-game options or GeForce Experience options route? If you have AMD, they have a similar tool. I forget its name. Always the way to go for things like vsync and frame rate caps.
Edit: Sometimes you gotta force both a frame rate cap and triple buffer vsync to play nice with recordings. Cap the frame rate at 60 when recording on capture card ;)
"Triple A games don't seem like they are progressing".... so they talk about a game that isn't progressed much from it first release >
Don't try to fix what isn't broken
