Really enjoyed this chat and the last podcast ! It's good to hear you guys again. I wish the both of you a great new year. I'm sorry Joe had a tough year with games but those happen. May the interest come back, or not, that's fine too ! I feel we age faster than the medium will ever do, so it's only natural that we sometimes feel out of touch or just not aligned with what it has to offer. Having to stay on top of releases for a job must be the hardest part, because my solution to this has been to accept that I will be out of the loop, playing stuff at my own pace whenever it feels right.

Morrowind and fallout 3 were the vibe, oblivion was the heart, skyrim was the soul, and fallout 4 was the hope for the future. Starfield ended up being an great idea that should have been canceled and would have been if made by other companies, when they realised they couldn't do what they wanted.
Doesn't work that way they still have to have a active project to do engine and asset development. Starfield was done as a test go for their next two games

@@BOB67666me2, but if a game has quest breaking bugs which aren't getting fixed it is unacceptable. Don't forget bathesda is a AAA company, we should expect excellent titles from them, maybe not story wise but gameplay and bugs should be good and it isn't.

Not that I think 343 nailed Halo infinite, why didn't it make this list?
The Tower only started in 2023 and we populated it with the few major releases we discussed in 2022, so the start date for games on The Tower is Feb 2022 which was after Infinite's release
For some reason I thought you guys already had this discussion but then I remembered I was thinking of Mikeburnfire and Zack Hazard.
Spider man is simply awesome but i prefer starfield.
Starfield. I enjoyed Spider-Man 2 buttttt it didn’t really capture my imagination the same way Starfield did. Spider-Man 2 seems very… safe. Starfield felt weird and unique and interesting :)
If you liked Starfield then you should try Cyberpunk 2077
Starfield was extremely boring buttttt it did get me thinking about space and I do love space. Eventually I just went and replayed mass effect and outer worlds.
@@INeedToSeeYourBalls1945 I had about 300 hours in Cyberpunk. Played it nonstop from release to maybe April of ‘21 :)

Starfield is literally what if outer worlds but bigger and soulless.
Starfield had way better quests, can actually fly ships, build a outpost, and there are way better NPCs in the game. Outer worlds was a woke joke

Starfield way too boring. Spend 10 hours And I had enough... I rather go back to D4 which I remember is boring as hell too after 2 hours as well...
