Effort is binary. I am either off or on. Lol, jk. I had prepared for an apocalyptic event so I already had gymnastic rings, light adjustable DB, and bands laying around. I have no reason to go back to the gym. I might get a clipping card so I don't have to subscribe, but I can go whenever I feel like it. I want to keep doing snatch grip block pulls, but I don't really care about anything else. I'll save so much money that by the time I need more weights it will have paid for itself.
Alexander deChaneet try buying your gym equipment instead of renting and you wont have to miss workouts because someone decides to make a virus when we supposed to be curing viruses. I an adjustable bench for under $150, and a pulldown machine for about $160. The bench also has preacher bench thats removable with it. Weight added dumbells for $50 a pair so i can add weight and make them whatever weight i want. I can workout when i want and dont miss workouts because of idiots. Stay shredded brah and you control your workout by buying instead of letting others control it by renting...
@@aestheticshardstyle8927 I'm not going back to the gym, and my setup doesn't cost a thing. Less than $100. As long as you have somewhere to hang your rings you can do pulls and abs. Push ups, pike push ups, dips etc. can be done with or without resistance. Legs can be trained unilaterally if you don't have any real weight to load with. Your exercise selection will be better as well, since you don't rely on machines at all(they are great for fluff and pump, but I mostly use them when I am too tired to do free weights or calisthenics).
Man, I can listen to you for hours. Back home, I had an “old school” coach for years who was the first Iranian Pro and you remind of him. I had forgotten some of the little tips that he taught me. Been following your videos and implementing your tips and techniques and I am getting great results again. Everything you say makes sense. Thank you for making these videos John. You are truly one of the best 💯.
I'm really jealous of you right now, being able to work out in a gym 😭 Good to see you working out, I hope your recovery goes smooth and you're able to maintain your health for the foreseeable future, good man.
I’ve been studying bodybuilding for over 20 years and still LOVE THIS SERIES. I also cannot tell you how happy I am to see you looking healthy and strong in this video 🙏🏽🙏🏻🙏
I really see my legs grow when go up to 20 reps, to the point where it burns, but still push through. I agree you need more volume/reps for legs, because they are working muscles already, we walk every day.
A good friend once told me, “Manhandle that shit. Pretend like you’re going to bend the bar.” All the tension is going to the muscles and not the joints.
Could not agree more on legs needing volume , heavy weight and higher reps. They just need more and intensity. You have to go there mentally. Always feel great stumbling out the door knowing you went there.
Fantastic content, and really informative. After training for 30 years I would like to add another one, and that is "mind to ,muscle connection" during your workout. It really ties a number of the reasons together: - being slightly crazy, embracing the pain, controlling the tempo, full range of motion. The truth is you have to love training legs, embrace the hard work and pain, and not just train in a manner to get the workout or reps finnished. Really informative channel with some great advice!
I have always gotten super sore and good growth in my hamstrings and glutes doing squats and would have to do extras for my quads to keep up. I never did leg curls as it just wasn't needed. I think we just need to pay attention to what our body wants. So happy to see you recovering John. Love your channel as a local up in Sunbury
I’m really enjoying this series John! So much good information. This is gold for beginners (wish I could show my younger self!) but also great reminder for those with experience.

Two "moderate-rep" sets of reverse lunges with an empty bar AFTER leg curls and BEFORE squats and RDLs seem useful. Done this way, the reverse lunge acts like a loaded hip flexor stretch. Two "high-rep" sets AFTER squats work great as a finisher exercise to thoroughly pump the inner thigh. I gave up on the front lunge years ago.. too harsh on the knees.
I was seeing your number 11: exercise Sequence. I have to do deadlifts and certain exercises last in my muscle group because of back pumps that I get, which will affect and weaken every exercise after that one, so i save those for last.

Man I get an ASMR vibe watching this guy! Not to mention the actually awesome and genuine workout tips. Thanks John, keep it coming please. Love from India!
Hi John! If you had to pick one machine out of these what would you pick? Belt Squat, Hack Squat, Leg Press. What would be your second choice? I'm building a garage gym and seeking advice on which machines I should prioritize, thank you for the amazing content!
tie - leg press and hack squat
@@mountaindog1 Thank you for the reply!

I'm the guy who's opposite of all the guys in the gym. Most guys insee have tiny legs and huge upper body. I want freaky big legs and a regular upper body
Yeah same😂
Appreciate all the things you did for bodybuilding and the viewers 🙏
Happy that you're getting healthy and back.
I used to be good with a yo yo but that kid puts me to shame. Good video too.
