Man, this video makes it look easy, but it is anything but. I'm replacing the OEM with a Dayco belt, and I am so far unsuccessful at getting it to route despite opening up the tensioner as far as I can go. Bout to take another crack it tonight with another set of hands to see if it helps. Fingers crossed. Thanks for the vid.
I was in the same predicament. I jammed the tensioner as far as it would go with two wrenches and still the belt will not go over the final pulley. I had to pry it over the harmonic balancer with two screwdrivers to make it fit. This was the only way to get it over all the parts.
I’m doing this for the first time for a friend. I agree this is far from easy. A few hours past fifteenth minutes. I promise myself that this will never be a thing for me to do again. It’s just not working out.

My daughter had to lend me a hand, I couldn’t get it completely by myself either
