  • It took me almost 2 full years after being approved to sell on Whatnot to finally jump in and say whynot to Whatnot. I finally had my first selling experience on the platform and I have lots of insight and tips to share from my experience. How much did I make? Will I do it again, and did I even enjoy myself? I've been on whatnot for about a week now. I absolutely love it! I very well may do away with my store subsription on ebay and focus mostly on whatnot. I just did my onboard a few days ago and am studying the platform still before doing my first show. I'm backed up on dead moving inventory and I love the fact that I should easily be able to push it out in literally seconds when compared to months or years on ebay. Thanks for your insight on this video! Treecat is definitely something I'll be looking into as well. You're right, it's not good to have all of your eggs in one basket! Best of luck out there!

The buyer pays the tax and shipping on each item. I don't sell myself but from my perspective a lot of sellers will have a cap on how much a buyer will have to pay throughout the show. A lot of the shows I attend will have a cap of $8.35 in shipping. So the first lot might be $3.50, then $4.00 then $0.85 then all following will be zero. I think someone else suggested it but maybe add a sku or number to each listing in your store. That way when you pack the orders you can see Joe purchased lots # 4, 12, 17 and 22.

I couldn’t even get on whatnot because we don’t have a social media following, even though we have followers on all the sales sites 😂
We may try to get approved again, but I’m not impressed with their customer service.

I'm hoping I can get someone's opinion. I had an item I sent out an offer on and it sold at full price ($21.70) the same day. The buyer messages me and just says "I bought it at $15 what you offered me. Credit the difference". I can't see the offer I sent but I'm pretty darn sure I sent an offer for $17. I feel like I'm being swindled but I don't want to piss off the buyer and then they leave a negative. What should I do? I wish I could confirm the amount I had offered to be 100% sure. I don't understand why the buyer paid full price if he had received an offer. I just wanted to see what you guys might think, do I just give the refund? Thanks.

I would and move on. It’s not worth the negative feedback.

I am curious how many total hours did you have setting it up and how long was the auction? More than 4 hours total?

About that when you consider we entered in photos and a title for each one of the hats.
