    Man it’s crazy that the 4Runner is so old yet still looks so good. It’s just a timeless design that has withstood all the different design and style trends in the auto industry. The 4Runner and wrangler used to be literally the only two body on frame off road style suvs when everyone else was killing off all their truck based suvs and people thought Toyota was crazy for keeping the 4Runner alive. It has skyrocketed in popularity and demand and looks just as good as ever even going against all the new models and other suvs and midsize trucks that have been redesigned a million times while the 4Runner has just kept chugging along. Every year sales have gone up and 2021 was actually the best selling year for the 4Runner nameplate in its entire history out of all the generations. Just look at this thing, it still looks so good. Ford abandoned this segment and now brought back the bronco only cause they saw how popular off roading/overlanding has become and saw the off road body on frame suv segment as a money making opportunity and Nissan killed off the xterra and still hasn’t brought anything worthy back. All these companies have seen how the 4Runner and Wrangler have literally been enjoying the segment to themselves. I’m sure there will be other brands like Nissan, GM, dodge, and others who will come out with their own truck based off road inspired suvs but there’s a charm to the 4Runner nobody can really explain. It’s so outdated in every single aspect of the truck and simple and nothing is really impressive about it on paper for 90 percent of people looking for an suv and also reviewers. That’s why reviewers usually always give the 4Runner bad reviews cause it’s old and outdated and mpg is not as good as newer crossovers and the handling is like a truck with soft off road suspension, and the body roll and brake dive and on top of all that it’s very expensive for being so old BUT I wouldn’t trade my 4runner for anything and absolutely love it. People still buy it cause it’s dependable, reliable, looks amazing in any color, tested and proven bulletproof drivetrain, it’s insanely fun to drive and amazing to look at every single time you park, and so many aftermarket support to make it your own. It’s the most balanced versatile suv on the market imo when it comes to off roading/overlanding and daily driving everyday family vehicle. It’s capable as hell and can take you anywhere but it’s comfortable on the road as well compared to the wrangler and the cargo room is very big. It’s midsize suv but it’s actually slightly bigger than most midsize suvs like the wrangler and bronco. It’s got it’s own unique sizing and that little extra cargo room is so huge for a lot of people like myself. I use it as my overlanding off road rig and built it up but it’s also my daily driver. It can balance both so well that most other suvs can’t do as well. The Land Cruiser too but that’s way more expensive, the fj cruiser which is alot smaller and don’t sell them new anymore, the wrangler’s on road dynamics is notoriously not great cause of the solid front axles, the new bronco is prolly the closest thing but even then the old 4Runner still is better all around imo.

    Question, 285 70 17’s with the wescott collar lift and 17x8.5 -12 offset wheels. Will I be able to have full articulation, even in off camber situations without a BMC? I realize I will need a viper cut, some trimming and the removal of the mud flap. TIA!
    *I also have adjustable SCA UCA’s*

    • @westcottdesigns
      @westcottdesigns  Рік тому +1

      You will have some rubbing at articulation with full steering lock.

    Question!!! After installing this lift kit on my 2022 trd pro, the front measurement only has 22 inches. What causes that?

    • @westcottdesigns
      @westcottdesigns  Рік тому

      Your truck is not going to lift the same as this orange 4Runner because this is a different lift then we sell. This is a new lift we are testing before we release it.
