Thank you so much, Emily. Filming in Katmai is one the hardest - and most personally rewarding - things we had ever done. Inconsistent weather in the middle of windswept canyons was awful, but the Mom and her 3 cubs were way worth it. It's winter there now; with any luck the entire family will welcome Spring come May of next year. David and I are glad you enjoyed it. Cheers!
Thanks so much, Oscar! We had been so privileged to film these magnificent creatures. Honestly, the wildlife makes our jobs rather easy...and quite enjoyable! Thanks again for the kind words.
Hello al c, Like I said, I don't know much about Kamchatka brown bears. We haven't filmed them, and we have no plans to do research on them in the near future. You may want to check out the BBC library; they have extensive footage on brown bears, and I think they had a few film crews in that peninsula over the years. If I were to guess, I think their browns are a tad bigger than ours but not by a lot. www.bbc.com.
Hi Katrina, Thanks so much for watching our video. Agree, that first bear you saw had nasty wounds on both sides of his body. We filmed this bear very early on during the 2020 salmon run season. It was amazing to see this bear fight, wrestle with other boars, and pretty much go about his daily routine as if he didn't have the nasty wounds he had, during the time we had to film it. Hopefully he's back to being the bad-a#* boar this season, as he was last season. Thanks again for watching our channel.
Muchas gracias, Marlene. Shiela
Great captures! Especially enjoyed the three cubs. You really captured the persistence of these bears.

Are these bears bigger than kamchatka brown bears?

Salmon?!?
Hi, we filmed this in July. Brown bears normally consume sockeye salmon around that time in Katmai National Park. Thanks for visiting.
