No. Heartbreaking 💔sweet little cub🧸 RIP. My heart breaks for 💔Grazer, she tried so hard. and little Cub without his sib. For days I have been seeing the image of Little One kissing her mom from one of the recent videos. When she was under the platform near the river, Grazer approached and nuzzled her. I feel so sorry for Grazer and her Tiny - also for Biggy, which has lost his playmate. When I saw the little family for the first time, I just fell in bear love with the tiny cub. I have been very upset by most things after 32 attacked. Tiny. It’s suffering was terrible to watch and hear. To watch this video is for me kind of a relief. No more suffering for the cub. And 32 better keep away from Biggy … #GrazerPower
This just broke my heart today. Tiny is in a better place with the Lord. Grazer was doing the best she could. Amazing she cared for him all this time. Thank you

I am so saddened but believe she will have closure now, not wondering where her precious cub is. It will become part of the earth and water that will provide food for Mama and little brother. 💔
My heart breaks for Grazer and Biggie, but smalls looked deceased when he went over. We never actually knew the extent of his injuries, he could of had internal injuries that ended him, maybe while he was drinking water or something. Overall, a really sad situation- but this is nature and part of life. Grazer your a great mama, cant wait to see biggie flourish, and RIP Smalls, hopefully youll get to munch on a endless supply of salmon in bear heaven ❤
So heartbreaking to see. If you watch carefully, It actually looks like she finds the cub that went over the falls & tries to pull it to safety. You can see it in the water just below her. Im not even sure if she might have thought this was Biggie & she got confused. When she sees Biggie she runs to him leaving the cub in the water (you can see the dark spot). Them they return to where the deceased cub is.
Really heartbreaking!! Frazier would not have been spending so much time searching, if it was not her cub. You could tell she was distressed. She has great motherly instincts. How very very sad. 😢
Absolutely heartbreaking!!! This is so sad!!! We were watching today. We saw it live. We didn’t know what it was until Grazer took off. Absolutely devastating!!!!
Thank you for posting the explainer from Mike Fitz as well. This is so terribly sad. I comfort myself in knowing that so many other people who love the bears, are also grieving and shocked by the story.❤️🧸🐻🧸❤️🌈
Wow! Just wow! Thank you whomever put this together! As sad as this saga has been, I truly value the ability to see this. Not many get to witness bear behavior such as this and I learned from witnessing it.
We will never know what happened but the cub hadn't been seen for days and may have died days ago. It was a blessing and an amazing coincidence that Grazer saw it and recognized that it was deceased. She then turned her attention to her surviving cub.
I agree, it seems like she must have brought him there to watch over while fishing, and also expected him to be okay in the water for a moment while she retrieved the other cub. She obviously didn't expect him to get swept away. And I've seen her cubs get swept down that area before and they always ended up on shore, so I have to think that's where the injured cub ended up eventually, seems like that's the way the water flows.
Thank you for posting this video. I really needed to see what happened and this gave me some closure. In my own mind Ive pieced together that the cub had either slready passed or was very close before it washed over the falls this evening. Grazer, you will always be the best mama.
I am so impressed that although it was apparent she wanted to stay with her deceased cub, she knew she had to take care of her living cub and make sure he was safe. So she ran to him and got him before she continued after the deceased cub. No way to know what happened, but I believe the cub was hiding out in back of the Falls, hungry and weak, but saw his mama and jumped into the water to be near her. Because of his inability to use his paws and his weakness, he could not swim and drowned, but still managed to float right past her. No way to know for sure, but that's my belief. Its just heartbreaking.
I wasn't sure if people realized that she found it in the water, before she ran to her other cub. I am hoping I am wrong, but it almost looked like it was trying to swim, after Grazer ran off for the other cab. I hope I was wrong. Around the 1:10 mark. What do you think, if you don't mind watching it again.
Oh, this is so heartbreaking! 💔 She's been looking for days for her baby. Oh Grazer, I'm so, so sorry. RIP precious baby, till your momma can be with you again. 😢
@@KennyT56Although we will never know for sure, I didn't think so. There was quite a bit of flex as he was impacted by the currents going over the falls. Also the state of being totally submerged, speaks to not having been in the water very long.
@@KennyT56. I slowed multiple videos and inspected each frame. Poor little thing never moved at all. More telling was his front legs that had been loosely hanging at his sides were positioned straight out and remained that way. Sorry if this offends anyone but other chatters were arguing about this-rather unkindly at best-so my inherent intellectually curious critical thinking compelled me to investigate.

Nature can be brutal, but it also teaches respect for the survivors. I can't imagine how huge that remaining cub is going to be with Grazier as a mom for 1.
Thanks for posting and giving us the opportunity to express our sad feelings. Kinda tired of the "nature is cruel, get over it" attitude of some. We know it and acknowledge it but most of us cannot suppress the emotions that we have. Allow us to grieve without chastising thanks
A higher power put him there at just the right time, to give poor momma closure, to give us all a sad ending but closure. Poor baby is no longer suffering, I can only imagine the pain that he was going through. 😭
Heartbroken 💔.. Tiny was a joy to watch explore. I will miss seeing him. It was a highlight in my day. But his littermate remains.. time to celebrate that life. Focus on the beauty of this wonderful, beautiful coy and its amazing mom. We have many things to celebrate. Might have to look hard right now, but they are there...
Totally agree with ALL of what you said! Focusing on the positive can change one's life. It has for me, for sure. Not always easy for sure. But, so worth it to even marvel at small things.
One day, in a future season, Biggie will return to the falls old enough and smart enough to be in competition for fat bear week. Until then, let's hope we see him season after season, growing and learning, hanging out with other younger bears, honing his fishing skills, and eventually being an adult bear. While death is the end of the cycle of life for all living things, I'm hoping Biggie will be blessed with longevity. He will have a special place in the hearts of so many!
Not sure what to make of this. The odds seem astronomical of this actually happening. If she's fishing at the lip, how could her cub get in the river and float right by her? Heartbreaking for what seems like the umpteenth time. I was hoping for some sort of closure, but definitely not this way.
I know. Not sure how/why either. Even the experts & Rangers don't. So many questions..., especially when they happen off camera, or outside of park hours.
I honestly think the little one was escaping an attack by another bear. RIP. Sad but this is nature. I cried for 3 days last summer after watching a young falcon fall from 23rd floor in Montreal . Taught me to strong if I'm to watch live nature. Peace and love and ty for posting the video
@@68758 completely agree. seems too staged. I think the rangers found the body and this is the way they could stop all the questions. They really need to look at closing the comment portion of the cam. Seems like they get annoyed so easily and have too many rules on what people can ask or say.
God damn between this and the death of rescued baby elephant Phabeni a week or 2 ago I think I need to take a break from these wildlife videos and streams. Mother Nature can be magnificent and so very cruel at the same time. She's a heart breaker at times.
Watching nature live is NOT for the faint of heart. My first year(s), I was a wreck...but the joyous, amazing moments have kept me watching. I'm inspired by their resilience, strength and ability to live in the moment; because their lives depend on them moving forward. I hope you too, will decide the good outweighs the bad and tough moments. You have many a kindred spirit, in your caring for animals. Take care.
That is so heartbreaking! Poor little cub!! He was so tiny. To see Mama Grazer trying to pull him out of the water, my heart broke for her, then her and the other cub looking for the littlest one, while Mama is calling out, is so incredibly sad. 😢💔 I feel @o bad for Mama and its sibling.
I just don't understand how the little warrior got in the water. Did he walk to the falls, were his arms healed, how did he get to close to Grazer on the lip ???????? It is so sad for her and the cub. Oh my. What a rollercoaster week. While I am getting better at accepting some of the unknown while watching the bears. I hope we can get a few answers about this tragic event.
Both cubs were seen with Grazer a couple days ago near the Falls platform. The bigger COY was partially up a tree, and the injured COY was on the ground at the base of the tree, and Grazer was fishing the lip. Somehow it managed to get to that location from the treehouse. Awhile later the injured COY disappeared and from that point on Grazer has only been seen with the one COY. What happened when it disappeared is the mystery. 🙁
@@DeborahLynnM According to NPS rangers who were tracking the situation, the injured cub had not been seen or heard since Monday and there was no evidence that Grazer was taking care of it after it disappeared. We will never know what happened but seems the cub had probably been dead for several days. It's been a rough week and I am glad that the cub is no longer suffering and that Grazer has some closure.
I know that many of you are sad over Grazier's lost cub and I understand that. Know this though-Nature is a lady of great beauty but she's also a lady who is vicious, cruel and offers no mercy to the injured and weak. For every Grazier, Bear Force One, Otis, or whoever you see there were hundreds of thousands of cubs that never made it to adulthood. Thus while you mourn the loss of Grazier's cub rejoice in the fact that she still has a cub that survived and with her help could and possibly will make it to adult hood to have cubs of its own.
😢😭💔 I'm crushed. So hard for momma bears. I could not watch but saw the thumbnail. Last season was tough for momma bears . Now, I watched Graze be the fierce mom that she is. For me, I have to keep distraction with the Olympics. ❤❤❤🐻🐻
How did the little one get into the river ? Did it drown from its injuries trying to reach its mama or had it passed away prior and was too close to edge of the river when it passed? Mother nature can be sad at times. So glad mother nature gave mama another cub to ease her sadness.
Mike Fitz with Explore joined us in chat, and said there are so many possibilities as to what may have happened. He definitely thinks whatever happened, was related to its injuries and inability to sustain himself, sadly.
I only just saw this and I’m sad for Grazer and Big. ❤ I’ve loved watching Tiny, who was so playful. My favorite was the grass ball that was the best toy ever! I’m also so amazed by Grazer and how tenacious she has been protecting her cubs and I’m impressed she was able to keep Tiny alive for so long. I agree that Tiny tried to follow her to the falls but couldn’t swim. It looked like Grazer was crying after she ran to protect Big and they were walking back. ❤ Grazer family
So sad. And I don't care if anyone gets mad I am mad at Chunk too. And he is my favorite. I know he's a bear being a bear but I am mad. That little guy got in the water and couldn't swim and then drown..then floated down the falls. He just wanted to be near mom.😢 😭😢😭
It can be sobering to find out that Nature is not all sunshine and rainbows. Chunk is neither good or evil. The cub just had the bad luck of crossing paths with him at the wrong moment.
No words can be expressed, except we mourn her loss. The loss of an animal that we get to know and care for is hard. Worse when they still have their mother’s in their life and she has to deal with it. Worse for this beauty, she had to witness it. 😭
Do you remember a few years ago when the bear returned several times to the dead cub and lay next to it with another live bear? Grazer is also looking for a baby, better than many human mothers. couldn't you catch this little guy and cure him and then give Grazer back?
Wonder who did the cub in? None of the bears fishing noticed anything noisy going on up river. Was it Grazers cub? The living cub sure doesn't look rattled until Grazer gets frantic.
Where was the baby that it was able to fall in the river and wash past her? I also thought that cub was doing better, figured it was a different cub, but guess not. Kinda odd having all those things line up to create this video clip...She def doesnt lose cubs to carelessness that is a fact..
If you really think about what an intervention would entail, you might reconsider. For example, Smalls would need to be examined and evaluated and then treated. This would be dangerous in the field because of Grazer and her natural instincts. Removing Smalls to take him somewhere for examination and treatment would be stressful for him, being removed from what he knows and from his mother. If treated and regaining his health, not sure he would successfully re-enter Katmai safely. It could create unpleasant or unsafe situations for Grazer and Biggie. There are so many unknowns. But yes, it was so sad.
Very sad! This has been the "elephant in the falls" every time I brought up my concerns knowing the reality of such a brutal attack the mods rudely dismissed me. But, it didn't look good from the getgo being in denial does not serve the bears keeping it "real"!
After watching the bear community display so much genuine respect, kindness, generousity and cameraderie towards Otis last year, #32's brutality this season is, indeed, hard to take. Now that the King Otis years have ended, I will likely "change the channel".... it's started to feel too much like the Hunger Games😢
Yes, there have been some tough moments for sure. Feel those and give yourself as much time as you need. But, don't give up, okay? I love your energy and disposition and I'm pretty positive, you'll find sweet far outweighs the bitter. Hope you don't change the channel for too long.
I agree that Chunk has been an a-hole this season, but this attack on Tiny was not premeditated. When little floated straight at him I think it was pure instinct that drove him (my opinion only) few dominant male bears may have acted differently. Doesn’t mean that we can’t wish karma on him though🐻❤️🩹

This males me feel he was stashed away, got into the water and couldn't swim.
My thoughts exactly too 😢
She seems desperate to find him. 💔
We will never know what happened but the cub hadn't been seen for days and may have died days ago. It was a blessing and an amazing coincidence that Grazer saw it and recognized that it was deceased. She then turned her attention to her surviving cub.
@@CastleMc Thank you
I just read in a Facebook group what Mike Fitz’s thoughts are on the video of the cub going over motionless. 😞
@@HyeLainewhat we’re they?
RIP little one, and thanks for being such a good Momma 128 Grazer. Go get em Coy.
Oh, this is so heartbreaking! 💔 She's been looking for days for her baby. Oh Grazer, I'm so, so sorry. RIP precious baby, till your momma can be with you again. 😢
Yeah that cubbie was deceased. It wasn’t struggling and looked completely still.
Looked like rigormortis had set in.
@@LaVidaDeDSR and add your opinions to the argument? Which is all they can be... we didn't examine the cub, we can only guess.
Although it seemed inevitable that the badly injured cub would die, those who have been watching know what happened. Thank you so much.
After watching bear cams for 11 years 5his hurts really bad gonna have a hard time with this ! Love you Grazer and little ones ! I love you little Buddy RIP
Awww softy heart club member and friend. This has been a tough couple weeks for sure. We're told not to get too attached, but its hard not to. Hang in there and I hope you're doing well, besides this. Take good care.
@jmcnature8114 Thank you JM !
You are not alone I am also a long time bear cam watcher and I’m really struggling with this situation it’s just so awful and sad 😢
Nature can be brutal, but it also teaches respect for the survivors.
I can't imagine how huge that remaining cub is going to be with Grazier as a mom for 1.
I am heartbroken for Grazer. Thank you for sharing this. 💔
Thanks for posting and giving us the opportunity to express our sad feelings. Kinda tired of the "nature is cruel, get over it" attitude of some. We know it and acknowledge it but most of us cannot suppress the emotions that we have. Allow us to grieve without chastising thanks
Poor Sweet Mama Grazer. My heart breaks for her. You can see her desperately looking for her baby.😞
So very sad. You’re killing me Smalls one last time. RIP little one. 😢❤
Sad day at Brooks Falls. Can’t believe that the cub floated by her when she happened to be on the lip😢
A higher power put him there at just the right time, to give poor momma closure, to give us all a sad ending but closure. Poor baby is no longer suffering, I can only imagine the pain that he was going through. 😭
New sub.. thank you for putting this together. It all comes together watching from all the different cameras
OMG. POOR MAMA.GRAZIER. ❤. Prayers for the family.
RIP little guy so sad for grazer bless her heart ❤️ ❤❤
They put it there for show that's why they claim it disappeared".
They delete comments of people voicing their opinions.
I honestly think the little one was escaping an attack by another bear. RIP. Sad but this is nature. I cried for 3 days last summer after watching a young falcon fall from 23rd floor in Montreal . Taught me to strong if I'm to watch live nature. Peace and love and ty for posting the video
@@68758Who is “they” and why would they do that?
@@68758 completely agree. seems too staged. I think the rangers found the body and this is the way they could stop all the questions. They really need to look at closing the comment portion of the cam. Seems like they get annoyed so easily and have too many rules on what people can ask or say.
We now have closure! 🙏
How did the cub get upstream?
Take care.
I also followed the HERD. I was so sad what happened to Phabeni. Too much.
🎼🐻🎶♥️🎶🐘🎶💙
Thank you for posting this.
Rest in peace wee one know that you were loved.
So so sad. Grazer tried her best. She is a great mom. RIP lil one
Rest in peace sweet cubbie!!😇😇😇
Oh sweet little..my heart breaks for this family..i know their bears but life is precious..
Mike Fitz w Explore.org will prolly discuss next live chat. We just may never know?
TY JmcNature. I'm gonna take a break for abit.
@@vixengypsy hugs. This whole event and aftermath has hit hard.
also thank u iv been praying for her cub again thank u for ❤❤❤ sharing 😊❤
Poor little thing. Nature is tough, but at least it isn't suffering any longer.
😢😭💔 I'm crushed. So hard for momma bears. I could not watch but saw the thumbnail. Last season was tough for momma bears . Now, I watched Graze be the fierce mom that she is. For me, I have to keep distraction with the Olympics. ❤❤❤🐻🐻
You get a sense just how big those male bears are when you see Grazer next to them. Too bad about the little guy, but nature is a tough school.
He definitely thinks whatever happened, was related to its injuries and inability to sustain himself, sadly.
just so odd that the cub came from up stream
I only just saw this and I’m sad for Grazer and Big. ❤ I’ve loved watching Tiny, who was so playful. My favorite was the grass ball that was the best toy ever! I’m also so amazed by Grazer and how tenacious she has been protecting her cubs and I’m impressed she was able to keep Tiny alive for so long. I agree that Tiny tried to follow her to the falls but couldn’t swim. It looked like Grazer was crying after she ran to protect Big and they were walking back. ❤ Grazer family
Well, at least we have closure.
I am crying while I type this.
I am so sorry for Grazer, her coy, and her living coy.
Rest in peace little one.
Unbelievable insane brooks analysis
She is such a good mom 💔
Crossed over that wild Alaska rainbow bridge
Absolutely heartbreaking. I can’t watch it . Poor baby and mama and sibling. Condolences to the bear community ❤🙏😢
Absolutely heartbreaking 💔 I’m so sad 😭
Do you remember a few years ago when the bear returned several times to the dead cub and lay next to it with another live bear? Grazer is also looking for a baby, better than many human mothers. couldn't you catch this little guy and cure him and then give Grazer back?
Wonder who did the cub in? None of the bears fishing noticed anything noisy going on up river. Was it Grazers cub? The living cub sure doesn't look rattled until Grazer gets frantic.
tanks for the work of putting this together
Heartbreaking💔😢. What I don't understand is where the little one came from? RIP little one🌈
Thank you for recognizing it was already passed
I’m just heartbroken 💔
Where was the baby that it was able to fall in the river and wash past her? I also thought that cub was doing better, figured it was a different cub, but guess not. Kinda odd having all those things line up to create this video clip...She def doesnt lose cubs to carelessness that is a fact..
I feel sorry for Grazer she did her best and always does. So sad to see the little one go over the falls. Heartbreaking 💔
It's hard to see; Grazer is a good Mother, too sad.💔😭
Poor bear cub suffered for a long time 💔
So very sad!!! We were so hoping for a better outcome!! RIP sweet baby!!!
I still think there should have been an intervention. So sad 😢😢
The cub looked like it was deceased when it went over the falls. How did it die?
Very sad! This has been the "elephant in the falls" every time I brought up my concerns knowing the reality of such a brutal attack the mods rudely dismissed me. But, it didn't look good from the getgo being in denial does not serve the bears keeping it "real"!
It was heartbreaking to see this happen. RIP little one. 💔
From my years in Montana and the Cascades, I learned like people and bears are unpredictable. Sad end here
Heartbreaking.
How did he manage to die in the brook and float past mom? Sorry for the loss of the precious little bear ❤
My heart is broken rip peace little little one To all who visit and watch this bless you
After watching the bear community display so much genuine respect, kindness, generousity and cameraderie towards Otis last year, #32's brutality this season is, indeed, hard to take.
@@jmcnature8114 ❤️🤗❤️
How do we know Otis is no more? He might just be at Margot creek with the other older bears maybe they are sick of competing at the falls 😊
@@wendyhood1006 ❤️🙏❤️🤗
I agree that Chunk has been an a-hole this season, but this attack on Tiny was not premeditated. When little floated straight at him I think it was pure instinct that drove him (my opinion only) few dominant male bears may have acted differently. Doesn’t mean that we can’t wish karma on him though🐻❤️🩹
