I have been playing for 50+ years and I have come up with some great jams but Tommy is on a whole other planet. I feel lucky to have discovered him. What an inspiration.
That is one of the most amazing jams I've ever heard. Right hand effortless awesome. Harmonics wherever you wanted them. Just a beautiful progression on multiple levels. I'll be studying it for weeks...months...longer. Cheers, Uncle Larry.
I already commented but that was fucking awesome. I just blasted it in my car and I felt like I was listening to some amazing classic instrumental record. Shit man. If I was an artist and Uncle Larry presented this as his guitars track I would be so fucking stoked and would change whatever the name of the song was and name it after good Ol’ Uncle Larry.
Agreed, well said. How someone makes that up is beyond me. Playing rhythm and lead melodies at the same time with those dynamics is beyond words. Love this channel.
I know I’m late to the party, but I’ve been binge watching your videos and love watching a guy in he’s kitchen playing amazing guitar, it’s so real and inspiring, you also make it look way to easy 🤣, but keep them coming Tom, I’m loving every one of them
That might of been the best Home Skoolin’ track to date. It’s so hard to say which is better than which and it’s not really fair because they are all different and great in their own way but this one certainly is at the top or top 3 to 5 out of all the arrangements. Just fucking awesome man. He’s easily my favorite guitar player of the modern era. To me, no one else comes close. Uncle Larry is always hitting on all cylinders. There’s nothing wrong with a cool slow blues jam but this shit to me shows his how far and wide his influences stretch and it’s just so much more than playing some fast pentatonic runs, which is cool but Uncle Larry is light years ahead. Light Years Ahead Larry... 🪐🌪🔥🌓☄️
Great groove. Great sound. Great vibe. Your notes (text) make me feel like I've been doing something right for all these 50+ years on guitar. I love wandering almost aimlessly through the sonic woods and see how long it takes me to either get lost or get back home. Always fun. Thanks Larry for sharing.
These Rolling Rock jams are phenomenal! Play all day - then play at night. You're a true artist with a wide-ranging and vast palette. Thanks so much for sharing your artistry Tom!
If multiple Likes were a thing, I'd be annoyingly heavy loading this episode up with them! So grateful these are here in the first place & that multiple watches are absolutely possible! Go Uncle Larry!!
The musicality and harmonic beauty is always evident, but the fucking confidence and conviction behind every note is more than inspiring. Bukovac, you are what musicians strive to be. Thanks for sharing your gift, we’re all the better for it. 👍🏼
Holy SHITE. Mate. Honestly spellbinding. The music transfixes ears, while the technical ability crucifies souls. Impossible to listen to this once only.
It's literally a little breathtaking to listen not knowing what lines, riffs or melodies are coming up next for so long. In a super awesome way, of course... Playing on the egde is captured 100% in this clip, pure art.
Those born on December 20 are constantly generating ideas, forcing those around them to increase their activity. Their ability to show initiative is truly enormous. Not particularly bothering to put their own projects and ideas into practice, let alone administrative matters, they prefer to start the next task immediately after they "put the beginning" of the previous one. However, their endeavors, as a rule, get a continuation, and thus they make a good reputation. With those born on December 20, not much time passes between a sudden desire to do something and doing it. Once they have conceived something, it is almost impossible to stop them, and first of all, because their actions follow the ideas with lightning speed. Their incredible ingenuity, efficiency in their work and originality are so high that their productivity is sometimes even astonishing.
What to me is amazing is that where ever land you visit it's always so "musical" and motivating for us to play our instruments so Big thanks for your constant passion !
Only one thing goes true my mind. Well oiled machine. Every person who comes to watch Tom knows that he is awesome player. His magic was always in this way of playing but this one is so tasty and it hits my spot perfectly. No wonder great players refer their followers to Tom.
Hes barely thinking it, barely working it. It's feeling it and letting it fuel the journey. Such mastery. Sure you can learn chords and play covers and that's awesome.. This is free flowing creativity. Played this jam while golfing yesterday and birdied that par 5 and turned my game around.. there is magic in this one session man.
To say Tom is a fantastic artist is a given. I’ve been watching/listening to him for years. This jam is an eye opener. Zone in on what his right hand is doing. Simply amazing technique.
Improv? That’s an improv? I can’t even fathom getting to that level of intricacy, speed and precision after rehearsing something for weeks! There wasn’t *one* note out of place. Unbelievable. Spectacular work with the right hand again, Uncle Larry - I am still trying to comprehend how to even try to reproduce this. I’m not the first to say this, but these last few weeks have been out of this world. You’re spoiling your nephews silly! And bonus points for the surprise use of the Vibrola which was out of shot throughout the vid - for a few seconds I was asking myself how in the world you were managing to wobble on an SG, then surprise reveal! I don’t know if that was planned but that was definitely awesome! Freaking improv...
I never get to watch these videos when they are dropped. However,... watching this as I eat breakfast in my car at 3:30 am before starting a 14 hour day lifts me up. Uncle Larry is truly a gifted musician. Thank you for sharing your gift.
When Tom’s head starts making that circular motion, you know it’s going to be yet another stellar jam. Tom, I’ve played golf since I was 12. Started playing guitar at 43 seventeen years ago. You’ve made the decision easier for me. I’m going to quit golf and dedicate my remaining years to trying to know this amazing instrument better. Thank you for that. It’s the way I was leaning anyway.
I just can't stop listening to this song. I love all of your jams, but this one in particular just blew me away. So melodic and captivating. Thanks, Uncle Larry. :)
Soul to soul...that's what music is about. Connecting with others ~ Fast guitar licks and endless solos are boring to me. Give me two or three notes that reach out and get my attention and I'm all in. You are such an artist, Tom! Thanks for the inspiration and for sharing, brother!
Man alive, you kicked the roof off the barn with that one. I was following, enjoying, then it went... well, glad you're out there creating this music. Thanks Tom
Tom, this is beyond inspirational. If I had a guitar in my office, all work would cease while I sussed out all of the parts you have going here. Many thanks to you for sharing your knowledge and passion with all of us mere mortals.
This is simply stupefying. What an amazing player. Melodic, ferocious, subtle and aggressive. Nothing this dude cannot do. I play along to these and just trying to find out what he is doing is opening a million musical doors for me. What an amazing talent
Tom, this is so good it made my kidney stone pain go away. You are one of the greats. I look forward to meeting you some day. It would be an experience I’d really treasure.
I have noticed your playing includes a lot of evolving ideas.keeps a person sharp. I felt like this was a most inspired jam. Certainly one of my favorites from you.
Dissonant, chewy, organic, and free. Everything a great impulsive composition should be. One great idea leads to the next. Possibly one of the best improvs I've heard. Absolutely inspiring. Beautifully done sir.
This might be one of my favorite jams I have ever heard period, its magical you can sound this good and just accompanying yourself makes it all the more impressive. You also proved a point that at the end of the day even with just a little practice amp you can sound amazing. I haven't held a guitar in years but am thinking of getting back into it and focusing on technique and phrasing, I have wasted years tinkering with multi-effects and pedals trying to chase that desired "TONE". Thanks a bunch Uncle Larry. -From some half-American bloke from The Philippines.
Uncle Larry can make a solid state practice amp with a 3in speaker and a iPhone sound better than I could make a dumble with Rick Rubin producing
hahaha isn't it the sad truth?
You are not alone, sir.
😂😂😂
i have the same tiny amp. He makes it sound so full which i cant ever lol. Guess i am gonna stop blaming that tiny amp now lol
So that goes to prove the tone in the fingers theory??
I have been playing for 50+ years and I have come up with some great jams but Tommy is on a whole other planet. I feel lucky to have discovered him. What an inspiration.
Yes sir......
You are so free! Thanks for sharing this wisdom. Your playing is so beautiful!
we need TOMo - The Tomo and Tom Bukovac Duo Experience Extravaganza Groove Band
ToFu and ToBu! Now GO!!
Now that was fuckin' cool. And I don't normally use that kind of language. "Far out" maybe, but never "cool".
A guitar is a very fine tool in the service of a fervent imagination.
Just when you think, "He can't possibly top that....." Thanks, Unc.
Hey dude that’s cataloguing Uncle Larry’s vlogs, these should be called “The Refrigerator Sessions.”
Yes, the ladder has been replaced by the fridge!
Uncle Larry's cookin' in the kitchen, and dat shit be tasty!
Adding plenty of spice That's a fact!
One man, one guitar, and a whole universe of music. Just in awe Uncle Larry
That is one of the most amazing jams I've ever heard. Right hand effortless awesome. Harmonics wherever you wanted them. Just a beautiful progression on multiple levels. I'll be studying it for weeks...months...longer. Cheers, Uncle Larry.
If anyone’ asks. ‘Whose Tom ? Play this . Damn.
There is something cool about returning home from band practice and having an Uncle Larry jam waiting for you. Predestinational magic
That was sublime. Uncle Larry plays atmospheres. I feel so nostalgic every time i hear him play.
WHAT a KILLER jam.......I think the Fridge was even gettin into it.....LOL
I think that fridge was calling out to me - saying "visit your own fridge, crack open a beer and watch this again"!
That fridge can’t help but smile
I'll damned if this isn't one of the songs for the next Uncle Larry live show with the band. This is incredible, one of the best ones yet by far
Masterpiece. I'm speechless.
I started a new job a few weeks ago and I've been stressed as hell. I needed this, thank you.
Tom, you're the only guy that always makes me want to pick up my guitar. Thanks
I have the same fridge. Mine also has rolling rocks in it :)
That was ridiculous! Wow what a ride.. been playing 30 years, I’m still an infant. Lol. Rock on uncle Larry!
I already commented but that was fucking awesome. I just blasted it in my car and I felt like I was listening to some amazing classic instrumental record. Shit man. F'n phenomenal Tom. You don't need to be bored for this. I would stop just about anything to listen.
Mesmerized ! Not Bored...Prog rock influence shinning through, I'm hearing many Steve's...Thanks for sharing...
Good grief. So good.
Thanks, Tom. Every time I hear you play I pick up my guitar and get after it.
Mind officially blown. Stick a fork in, I’m done. Uncle Larry, the coolest Uncle ever!!!😎
That might of been the best Home Skoolin’ track to date. Uncle Larry never seems to run out of new ideas on the fly… like SRV he just keeps going. A privilege to watch
There’s something just magical about that SG. Every time you play it, man!!! Well done.
Great groove. Great sound. Great vibe. Your notes (text) make me feel like I've been doing something right for all these 50+ years on guitar. Sounds like the intro to Side 3 of an unknown Yes double album!!
I have recently identified as a really bored person. As such, I thank you, now I am currently less bored ! This is my bored person support group.
Holy shit! Will spend the next years to learn that jam. Uncle Larry, my reference point for so many things...
Absolutely Spectacular! Damn Uncle Larry...wow, just wow.
If multiple Likes were a thing, I'd be annoyingly heavy loading this episode up with them! So grateful these are here in the first place & that multiple watches are absolutely possible! Go Uncle Larry!!
Wow Tom.. this is my favourite song you've done yet. Holey moley that was good.
What on earth... That was absolutely incredible. Thanks Uncle Larry!!
Rolling Rock pay this man !!!
At least send him free beers!
The musicality and harmonic beauty is always evident, but the fucking confidence and conviction behind every note is more than inspiring. Bukovac, you are what musicians strive to be. Thanks for sharing your gift, we’re all the better for it. 👍🏼
Bored? I think not, Uncle Larry! I'm soakin' it in, your gift is a blessing to me!
Holy SHITE. Mate. Honestly spellbinding.
The music transfixes ears, while the technical ability crucifies souls.
Impossible to listen to this once only.
The use of harmonics in this jam takes it to another planet….
It's literally a little breathtaking to listen not knowing what lines, riffs or melodies are coming up next for so long. In a super awesome way, of course... Playing on the egde is captured 100% in this clip, pure art.

Jesus! This jam was poetry! Took me on a journey there and back again. I feel like I've never understood you better uncle Larry.
What to me is amazing is that where ever land you visit it's always so "musical" and motivating for us to play our instruments so Big thanks for your constant passion !
Uncle Larry doesn't suck. Geez, so musical and creative, what a massive musical vocabulary
43 years of playing and still laying down some inspiring stuff...that's a deep well you've got there, Uncle Larry.
I think the kitchen is a great replacement for the garage!
Ive never seen anyone say so much without saying a word.... Refreshing to say the least... Had to watch this one back to back to back.
Only one thing goes true my mind. Well oiled machine. Every person who comes to watch Tom knows that he is awesome player. His magic was always in this way of playing but this one is so tasty and it hits my spot perfectly. No wonder great players refer their followers to Tom.
Oh yeah, and this is all free for us to enjoy. Thanks uncle Larry!✌️
I must be really bored then, but not by your board work. Killer stuff Tom!
Uncle Larry- I like the kitchen "set": very much aligned with the homeskoolin' ethos. Thanks for all the great lessons and content
Hes barely thinking it, barely working it. It's feeling it and letting it fuel the journey. Such mastery. Sure you can learn chords and play covers and that's awesome.. Glad to see you're getting into this UA-cam thing, can see it's becoming enjoyable.
To say Tom is a fantastic artist is a given. I’ve been watching/listening to him for years. This jam is an eye opener. Zone in on what his right hand is doing. Simply amazing technique.
Good lord man! Give that guitar a cigarette break!!
The ability to think it and have it come out of your fingers is amazing.
Hey Uncle Larry - that was awesome, can’t wait for your album to be released! Great video!
That ascending part into 3:39 was 🔥. I find I have to noodle like this for an hour and then all of the sudden the goods really start showing up.
Most creative guitar player on UA-cam
Well done. Cool jam. I liked the quick rhythmic “rubs”. Breakout baby. Do it!
Somewhere south of Chicago
I never get to watch these videos when they are dropped. However,... watching this as I eat breakfast in my car at 3:30 am before starting a 14 hour day lifts me up. Uncle Larry is truly a gifted musician. Thank you for sharing your gift.
To damn good , Uncle Larry shines again 😅
Wow! This is absolutely one of my favorites. Somehow reminds me of my youth. I would love to hear this with full band. Great job Tommy
Just rewatched this..... mark it for your next album! So cool, dude!
When Tom’s head starts making that circular motion, you know it’s going to be yet another stellar jam. Tom, I’ve played golf since I was 12. Started playing guitar at 43 seventeen years ago. Hey fella that was great, especially played in the key of yale to lock it into the pocket. 😂😂😂😳 Respect and stay healthy all.
Soul + creativity + groove = Bukovac
The steady rhythm, touch harmonics, powerful walk up lick, melody. Inventive. Creative. Inspiring. You've got "it."
Damn dude! “Sky Diving” without a parachute!! Sweet!
genius artistry in toms kitchen.
I just can't stop listening to this song. I love all of your jams, but this one in particular just blew me away. So melodic and captivating. Thanks, Uncle Larry. :)
Love this one
That was bad ass!
Like that tempo, wow, I m still smiling!
Soul to soul...that's what music is about. Connecting with others ~ Fast guitar licks and endless solos are boring to me. Give me two or three notes that reach out and get my attention and I'm all in. You are such an artist, Tom! Thanks for the inspiration and for sharing, brother!
For some reason when I see the red SG in your hands I know it's going to be awesome
Fearless
Hey folks, do you realize how unique this is?? This cat is something special. Says me.✌️
Guitar wizardry at its finest!!!
This is absolutely fantastic. This *needs* a full band, Nashville studio production.
You have the touch Tom. Absolutely amazing! So glad I came across your channel around start of lockdown last April. Slainte!
WOW
Wow, that SG sounds amazing ! Tom’s playing is out of this world on this track idea ! 😱🙏👍🔥🎸🎼🎶🍺

Thank you Uncle Larry for this sonic lullaby.

Cool... like driving in the rain at night
Now there's a man that is one with his guitar.
