Just about any reasonable stereo speakers will sound better and give better stereo separation than a sound bar. Sound bars are for people that don't care about sound quality.
Hey Shane love the channel...any recommendations how to find a quality/honest/knowledgeable AV installer in the Bucks County outside Phila area for flat panel installers and home theater help ????
What kind of music? I own a PB3000 and it's great for movies but too much for music for my taste so I bought an RSL speed woofer mkii I now want to buy a Rythmik f12 but it's like 3 times the money. Adorama had the REL HT1205 for 450$ new!
I would recommend the SB 1000 Pro, or you can get the first gen SB 1000 for a few dollars less from the Svs outlet mall. The RSL Speedwoofer 10s is also a great recommendation, if you can find them in stock. Another suggestion is Monoprice and Starke Sound. Starke is currently running a sale on their 10, 12, and 15 inch subs.
Almost bought a pair. Luckily I found out that they aren’t REALLY wireless. They have a cable linking them together so you end up with 2 power cables PLUS an interconnected. Thats more cables than a passive so a complete waste of time.
Which SVS Subwoofer do you recommend for these? And what connection to a desktop PC do you recommend with these for best quality? USB/HDMI or something else? TIA
looking to do a 2:1 set up for my TV.....moving away from a sound bar....i have narrowed it down to these 4 sets ups and i am curious about what you think and what anyone thinks would be best for my needs.. SVS PRIME WIRELESS PRO SPEAKERS / EDIFIER R2850DB's WITH SUB / EDIFIER S3000PRO's NO SUB / KLIPSCH THE SEVENS WITH SUB or NINES which would you recommend and rate them....thx in advance....cheers from Vulcan Canada
I agree with you Shane. The speakers would look cleaner with the dials and display on top. Other than that, these appear to have a much better build quality over the Klipsch powered speakers. Would definitely use these to replace my old Sony soundbar.
I am not convinced about using 2.1 setup for tv watching. I tried to do so with my Martin Logans that cost twice as much as this SVS, I still could not hear the voices well. For tv watching, I prefer a soundbar.
Hey Shane great vid as always. Question - with regards to the tone and No EQ would you not be able to make the adjustments within the TV itself if running the HDMI cable ?
Soundbars will continue to be made for quite some time as it easier for to dust them off but the trend is that more and more manufacturers will offer active bookshelf speakers with reliable and convenient remote control and a wide range of connections
Anyone have recommendations or ideas for adding 2-4 atmos speakers, possibly wireless. Have hardwired 7.1 system but room is old and has chicken wire embedded in the drywall!
You can check out Klipsch for their Wisa wireless speakers. They don't have any atmos speakers for the system yet. You would have to use the Wisa compatible bookshelf speakers in place of proper atmos. Even with that setup, you'll still have to run a power cord from the speakers. Since you can't run speaker wires through your walls, you can still do an atmos setup by just running wires up the walls and use something like Cordmate to hide the wires. That's what I used to cover up the wires in my 7.3.4 Svs atmos system. Svs atmos speakers come with ceiling mounting brackets and an insert to prevent the speakers from walking themselves loose.
It’s not DTS fault that the Play-Fi app is not showing the bitrate info. It’s up to the individual music services. Qobuz shows the bitrate info in the Play-Fi app while streaming. So does Deezer…but they only stream 16/44.1 on Play-Fi (unless they have updated to play high res within the last couple months)
I am now a magnetic grill snob. If a product that can be used on a desk or has attractive drivers to show off cannot summon the engineering prowess to offer magnetic covers, I am not interested.
Those look great and I’m sure they sound great too. A bit out of my price range though. I just ordered some Kanto YU-4 in gloss white for my wife’s office.
You are better off getting some 8-inch studio monitors with a remote DAC and save more money, heck even 5-inch monitors will destroy these joints. You get an amazing near-field experience with monitors and imaging watching films on it. These joints go for too much for that price.
This review feels more like an overview or an unboxing. I kind of gotten used to seeing (or hearing) some form of demo, even if it’s just for illustration purposes.
Online demos are worthless. I don't care who's doing them or what mics they're using. UA-cam has serious compression. If you're an audio guy this should be common knowledge.
@@therealshanelee I think you misunderstood what I was saying. I meant no offense. I like your channel and I trust your judgement when it comes media and equipment reviews. What I meant by demos for “illustration purposes”is when you’re watching a film during the review and reacting in real time-it kind of adds a little extra to the review. I know that demos are worthless but in some of your past reviews you’ve played some “demos” simply to “illustrate” a point, not to replicate the sound for the viewer, which is impossible.
@@davidd6637 when the videos hits 10 minutes I’ve got to make a call if I’m gonna put those shots in. People start clicking off after a few mins and sometimes adding those in makes the video longer. Soundbars can come with subwoofers and surround speakers. My sounbar has dual 10 inch woofers and 4 side/ rear speakers. Don't know what he is taking about

Those woofer surrounds are pretty beefy. Very nice from SVS. Run these with the SB-2000 and you have a killer 2.1 setup.
I want these but I already have sound bars. 🙁

Which perlisten speakers are behind you?
I have a hard time choosing these over what Monoprice offers for half the price.
Sometimes you gotta pay for quality.
Which monoprice model?
@@PuneetMehra I had posted the link but maybe it was removed.

Those speakers look like they Nice.
I had a power surge, and it blew out the speakers that I use for my TV. I would love to get some of these. Maybe Santa is listening.
I would easily take these over a sound bar. Been a fan of SVS for a while now.
You can get a radio from 1981 and it would be better than a soundbar
Very nice speakers for upgrading your system.
Dude.. So did you ever announce the winner for the RSL set?

Beautiful speakers
I think Klipsch The Five's are definitely worth a look tho and almost half the price !
i bought both the five McLarens and the prime pro so i can A & B them. returned the fives. the prime pro's are in another league.
here in Canada they are both selling for 1485.00
I can't decide between these and the HECATE Edifier G5000. Which would you choose?
How would you rate them against the Edifier S2000MKIII.

Cool has sub out plug , definitely buy if I didn't already have system.
I've been waiting for this newer version with eARC and the remote. Goodbye soundbar
My soundbar currently sounds like one center channel, rather than the 3 it is advertised to be. Would def like a pair of SVS next
