I absolutely love to watch the brush painting in timelapse. Great call weathering the undercarriage. This model is going to be quite eye catching!
A wash with black or brown acrylic paint thinned heavily, or using Tamiya's panel line accent paints straight out of the bottle would also probably help give the chassis a little weathered look. I imagine you could paint the chassis and exhaust up, then just brush over all of it with the wash.
Another great example of simple details to enhance any style of kit
Great work, she is coming along beautifully...
Awesome work as always..love them snap tights to practice my detailing
Your Raptor is coming out great. I must however mention something....no matter how hard I practice, I will never be able to brush paint exhaust pipes that fast! LOL.
awesome dude
I absolutely love your work and channel. I'm a newbie to the model world and your videos have been very helpful. I was wondering if you'd do a video for us newbies. One on tools like: pin vises, tapes, air brushes (what would be great for starters and up), paints (brands that are good to use and what kinds of paint are good for certain things), tips and advice Ect... I can't seem to find one geared towards newbies with that kind of info.
Can you make a video showcasing your favourite models so far because I'm interested to see what that is
What paint brushes do you use? They look to be high quality
+Breaking rc The cheapes ones i can find in the hobby ship about €1,- per brush
ok thanks
Can I give you my shelby cobra model kit which failed to see what you can do with it? I'll pay you!
What was the name of the brand you use to paint silver with the brush on the chassis? Looks good! Didn't really get the name when you say it in the video.
oh is it vallejo? Do u recommend it? better then tamiya acrylics?
Sebastian Karlsson Correct, its Valleyo, i do recommend it over Tamiya. i like it a lot better!
Thank you for the great video review! Gravity colors is releasing new paint colors every month, so our color palette is growing month by month! Subscribe to our newsletter at www.gravitycolors.com to get information and news about our new items and colors!
What are you using to bag off the chassis? I ask because I have been toying with the idea. I work at a body shop and we use large rolls of thin plastic that folds out over the car and then you cut and tape where the paint will be applied
+Scott Forster Well this is just a plastic bag to put your sandwiches in. The plastic you use in the body shop has a coating on the side where the paint is going to land on, These don't so i only use it on small parts like this. if i where to use it on a bigger aero i would be better of using paper as the plastic bags will just have the paint flake off and make a mess.
I found some stuff at my LHS called HobbyMask, it looks similar to the Collision wrap we use when we have to store vehicles outside in the rain with no windows or doors
hey what wheathering kit you yous to mke the chassi look more dirty?
I went to your website, do you ship to the US? Do you have the conversion rates?
+dcinhere I do ship to the US, no conversion rates.... Only thing to know is that Paints are not allowed to be shipped to the US
Cool. So how will I know how much they are in USD? So I guess I will have to source Zero Paints somewhere else then? Hate to ask, but do you know of any places online that will deliver them here? I heard of hiroboy..?
+dcinhere nobody ships to the US maybe you should give gravity colors a try, great paints and pretty much the same aa zero paints www.gravitycolors.com/us/
The Scalemodeling Channel Man I am on the internet all the time scouring for model car product and I am surprised I have never heard of Gravity colors, They have a limited selection but a very popular selection of paints. Hopefully they expand. They seem to be a great product. Have you ever used them?
+dcinhere i have, the next project will be painted with them. They are a great paint when zero paints is not an option!
what brand is the silver paint yiu used?
+Aldo Villegas Vallejo
Thanks
Did anybody else notice that he called a truck a suv
