    + Pa Sander I use Cellulose thinner based paint. I let it dry for a good hour before masking. When using accrylic i would suggest to wait longer

    Amazing detail! I LOVE that truck. All your work is so good. I have no idea how you can paint that well or how you don’t cut your fingers off with the exacto knife lol

    I've been watching your videos for a few days now. You do an awesome job. I did modeling when I was a kid, but nowhere as detailed as you. You have really inspired me. I'm thinking about getting back into it Where do yo buy your supplies? Did you buy your paint booth or did you make it ?

    • @TheScalemodelingChannel
      @TheScalemodelingChannel  8 років тому

      The booth is bought. it is a Sparmax booth.

      Yeah I've found some places online since posting this. Walmart's doesn't even carry them anymore. And our local Hobby Lobby carry's only a small selections. I'm really looking forward to getting started. Ill keep watching your videos for tips. You do a great job.

    Would you recommend using clear coat on everything being painted?

    • @TheScalemodelingChannel
      @TheScalemodelingChannel  8 років тому

      +TheCigarGuy Only if you wish to, i only clear the parts i want to be shiney.

  • @DavidAnderson-cg9xo
    @DavidAnderson-cg9xo 9 років тому

    Very nice. Is it necessary to prime all the parts? If so why?

    • @TheScalemodelingChannel
      @TheScalemodelingChannel  9 років тому

      +David Anderson Depends on wich parts and wich paints you use, Acrylic(water based) do not need primerfor interior parts and engine stuff etc etc... The body does need primer for durability. Thinner based paints like Zero paints/Gravity color/scale finishes/Alclad....... do need priming. If you don't the paint will eat in to the plastic and makes it looks realy bad!

  • @joshkurian8077
    @joshkurian8077 7 років тому

    in my country you don't get gravity or zero paints..so which other paints would you prefer...

    I'm from the USA , what the Grits for the sanding sticks you use for mold lines ? I'm a little slow , when you were sanding the back of the seats what did you exactly do to fill up the gaps , of course besides putting glue and sanding them down . Thank you ! Happy New Year !

    • @TheScalemodelingChannel
      @TheScalemodelingChannel  7 років тому

      400 grit
      i used some glue to fill it in a bit.
