54 and just beginning .Doing snap togethers to get started. Your videos are Great ! This particular video really may have given me the help I need to put the big boy pants on and do real model building.. Thank You , You are Excellent !
With my Wrangler kit, I’m using some parts from the previous Rubicon kit. Watching your video here and building mine, I got the idea to get another one and do my own version of the Jurassic Park Wrangler.
Dude, I can't thank you enough for entertaining us every one of your videos! You give us builders all kinds of ideas. Everytime you post a video, it's like opening up a present on Christmas... Well, at least it seems that way to me? The fact that you end every video with: "build for you, have fun" is very inspiring. Thank you again Chris, keep'em coming!!!
Hi Chris, love your videos, mate! After 30+ years building nothing but airliners, watching your vids drove me to 1/25 scale cars. Have to say I’m loving it so far, though I just finished my second one. Currently looking forward to build a nice movies car collection. Ecto 1A was first, and just finished the DeLorean time machine (Mk.1) earlier today. This Jeep will join the fleet now - will carry a nice Jurassic Park colour scheme on it. Yeah, it’s not exactly this Jeep model they had in the movies, but hey, it’ll still look great if I can print some good decals to it (have some experience here already). Too many nice cars to join this movies collection! The Batmobile, Mach 5, Wacky Races Mean Machine, The Men in Black 3 Ford Galaxie 500, the Love Bug, the Mystery Machine, etc, and many of them already seen on your channel, so thanks in advance for the hard work you put into this! All the best! Eduardo
wooow- loving this kit- easily designed to be a quick weekender kit! Revell has definately come up thirty notches with their kits lately. Im building a '70 Challenger T/A right now, and it's a DREAM! This kit packsa a lot into a small box, and looks like it assembles in nothing flat! Extra kudos for throwing in those sweet shocks, screws, instrument panel decal, and making everything so easy to line up and press fit in!! Beautiful paint job!!!
Thank you for the video. Very nice presentation. Your kit came out really nice. I like that you have fun and do what you want to do. I bought this kit a while ago and I'm just starting it. I actually own a real 2005 Wrangler that is very similar to this. For modelers looking for tips, there's no shiny black anywhere on the vehicle, including the interior. All plastic is flat or satin. The gas tank is like a rubberized black. And the exhaust pipe is like a metal color. There's no chrome anywhere. The wheels are aluminum though and they are satin. I purchased the Testors Extreme spray paint for the body on my model. Im doing it a gloss black Rubicon without snorkel, like mine🙂
I’m building a replica of my 98 TJ. However the paint will be a bit difficult cause my real life one is a special edition Chili Pepper Red and the paint is hard to find and there is no model paint equivalent to it. I’m also making it a regular model with an inline 6 from anther kit.
I've seen the old version of this kit and never knew it was a curbside kit. The chassis would be cool to use on other vehicles too. It would have been nice if it came with an emergency light bar for the roof. The decal blooper was pretty funny!
I love your videos and how you use "alternate" paints instead of model paints (rustoleum, etc. )for projects... same as what I do from time to time. Also how you poke fun at "made for modeling" products (Ammo Mig socket set....ha, ha) great job on the Revell jeep - I bought one!
As a former owner of a Jeep TJ. I loved this video. One small caveat, what you painted silver as a gas tank is actually the skid plate for the gas tank and should be black.
Hahaha, I wouldave built it an not even noticed the Stoner mispelling decal! I imagine Pamela on watch, sitting in the Jeep Hot Seat as I faked a serious wipeout in front of Her. Another excellent Show to get Us psyched on Styrene, awesome finish Hpi.
Interesting Build Sir, I have The "Original" Kit That I'm Converting into a Semi Barn Find, it's Sooo Much Better Than This New Kits. Thanks For Sharing Tho, God Bless All.
Very nice work, looks to be a fun and well laid out model to build. For the Lifeguard option maybe they could have included some nice figures of "not C.J. Sparks" and "not Mitch von Malibu" for extra appeal!
Nice to see a stock version. The roll bar is awful in the Off Road kit. I think that they just used the Metal Tomb Raider kits parts. I never opened mine up to compare
Great build and paint. All it needs now is Pamela Anderson in a red bikini hanging off it and it would be perfect. And LOL they spelt guard wrong. Well, nobody's perfect I guess, but you'd have thought somebody would have noticed before it went on sale. Either way, fantastic finish. Great vid, thanks for sharing.
Googled a dark dash in an 03 Wrangler and it came up as that plastic/vinyl semi-shine, so I went with it when I built it. Thanks for watching! www.cargurus.com/Cars/2003-Jeep-Wrangler-Pictures-c2396?picturesTabFilter=INTERIOR#pictureId=36403219
Lifegaurd. Lifeguard. Okay. I was in the print industry and errors like this sometimes survive the scutiny of dozens of pairs of eyes. Once you see it, it can not be unseen. I witnessed one such incident that cost mid five figures to remedy.
Grant Hubick we designed a menu for a seafood restaurant and somehow they ended up with “crap dip” as an appetizer lol They were pissed, but okay’d everything from the start.
There's a business I deliver to, along with a lot of other trucks. Someone painted the orange barrel, Stop for Gaurd. Makes me laugh every time I pull in the driveway :)
Neat kit. I find it odd tho that there's "that much" flash on a mold that is roughly 10 yrs old (or even less). As you said, it's not the end of the world, just that from what I know flash depend on the wear of the molds. And lifegaurd XD. Wonder if they'll correct it for the main release.
I've wanted to ask this 100 times but you probably answered it 100 times... but why do you keep the parts on the tree when you paint? seems to me it's hard to clean up this demises and how to you paint once you cut it off the tree? it's so weird to me that you do that but seems like theirs a reason. Love your vids.
Great build, but I am disappointed that you didn't use a genuine Craftsman socket to sand your tires with! lol And the grab handle is usually call the "Oh S**t" bar lol
Lovely build Chris. I like the older Jeep Wranglers, but in the more “streetable” Sahara edition. I have a soft spot for those. I noticed you have been using Testors Glosscote for shining up flat interior parts. Whatever happened to the more simple Future floor polish trick to gloss up interior parts?
Question regarding the panel line accents as I am lookng to add them to my builds. Did you apply them prior to any paint/primer? After? Both? Also, what do you use to wipe off excess? Your videos are great. Thanks.
Dang. I had no special desire to build this kit myself, but then you pointed out the lifegaurd error. No I really want it myself cause that's funny right there
My school was Brandywine heights high school. A lot of alcohol references in the name. And to top it off our mascot is a bullet (yup. Brandywine bullets). Our school play event has been called Bullets Over Brandywine since day 1. Great references to alcohol and shootings. And after columbine there was discussion to change the mascot. It was voted down and has never come up for debate since. Alcohol was an issue among the staff and students, but weed, heroin and coke have been the “epidemic” in the school for years.

Just keep having fun, relax and take one step at a time and they all work out!
Thanks!
Lov ur jep biuld it louks grate
LOL
Thanks for coming along for the fun!
Just ordered this from Amazon for $12.99......Awesome deal for sure!
UPDATE......got the kit the other day, looks like they redid the decal sheet, as LIFEGUARD is now spelled correctly
With my Wrangler kit, I’m using some parts from the previous Rubicon kit. Watching your video here and building mine, I got the idea to get another one and do my own version of the Jurassic Park Wrangler.
Enjoy!
Doing this kit right now, everything is primed, so far looks like lovely kit :)
It's Saturday... got my dose of hpiguy
Thanks Bob!
Great job! I'm doing this one now and you know what..they corrected the decals. It's a good model I did the mountain version of it, bigger tires.
Dude, I can't thank you enough for entertaining us every one of your videos!
You give us builders all kinds of ideas. Everytime you post a video, it's like

The fact that you end every video with: "build for you, have fun" is very inspiring.
Thank you again Chris, keep'em coming!!!
Thanks a lot Jeff!
Looks really good - somebody would have fun driving that around.
Thanks for coming along for the fun!
Currently making this Life Gaurd model, seems great so far!

~that is really sharp looking~
Another awesome build! Great job buddy!
Thanks for coming along for the fun!
Another great build! Simple kit , that looks good at the final result.
Thanks for coming along for the fun!
I'm always amazed at how easily and quickly you paint everything.
Thanks for watching and thanks for the nice comment! Much appreciated, model on!
Chris, that was an awesome Jeep Rubicon build! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for coming along for the fun!
Another fantabulous build, Chris. The weekend is not complete without one of your videos 👍
Thanks a lot Andy!

Finally while you were painting had some decent music thank you
The best jeep model was a CJ5 back in the 70s with nice Desert Dog tires. With a cutom made rollbar and jacked up a little more.
Thank you for the video. Very nice presentation. Your kit came out really nice. I like that you have fun and do what you want to do.

Wow! Well engineered kit. Thanks for sharing it. We all can re-fit parts but it's nice when you don't have to.
Thanks for coming along for the fun!

Hey Chris, hot buttered popcorn and beverage of choice. Catch up time for your vids. The only thing that tops your builds is your positive attitude.
Thanks a lot!
Super build keep buildin I'll keep watching
Thanks for coming along for the fun!
I love your channel bro!!! You are so helpful, I learn more from you than any other channels. You are awesome!!!
Thanks Curtis!
It came out looking sweet!😎👍great build!
Thanks for coming along for the fun!
An exquisite and wonderful master piece of yours Chris. That funny LIFEGAURD! I hope nobody at Revell resulted FIERD because of this misspelling.
Charlie Bowman probably just gave them a lecsher
Somebody four sure got a right up!
Thanks for coming along for the fun!

Super job as usual. Keep doing what you do.
Thanks again!
Looks Great. Hardly noticed the Guard sign until you pointed it out. Nice Build. 👍
Thanks for coming along for the fun!
Beautiful jeep man, I miss the 80s
Thanks for watching!
Great looking kit, Chris. Love that colour!
Thanks for coming along for the fun!
Nice build bud. Love you breaking the myth of press fit kits.
Thanks for coming along for the fun!
Man I wish to be as good as you one day!
Just found your videos. Love em. Great job on this kit but couldn't help but notice, you glued the firewall in backwards.
The grab handle on the dash is a 😎 touch...
💘 that snorkel...
I built the off road version of this model and I absolutely love it and would recommend this model to beginners or intermediate builders.
It's an easy peasy kit! Thanks for coming along for the fun!
" Jeep guys will have a canary..".. 😆!!
😂😂
Awesome Chris I love how you did yours!! That kit is very similar to the green Jeep they have out! But a little bit different in its own way!!! :)
Thanks for coming along for the fun!
Another great build
Thanks for watching!
Great build as always.
A nicely detailed chassis with this kit.
Thanks for coming along for the fun!
I knew there was something amiss just could't quite put my finger on it until you pointed it out.🤦♂️👍😁
Thanks for coming along for the fun!
Super cool kit Chris! Very funny that they spelled guard wrong!! Lol! Thanks for the review bud!!
Thanks for coming along for the fun!
I've got a kit of the robicon this video is helpful
Good!
😆With decal, but very nice Jeep build.
Thanks for coming along for the fun!
looks fabulous Chris, I like it in the yellow
Thanks for coming along for the fun!
As a former owner of a Jeep TJ. I loved this video. One small caveat, what you painted silver as a gas tank is actually the skid plate for the gas tank and should be black.
Thanks for coming along for the fun!
Great review & build can't wait too build mine
Thanks for coming along for the fun!
Killer build once again, okay I am going to be buying a couple of these to have fun building them. Keep up the great work and Rust In Peace.

The lifegwaaard! Nice build!
Thanks for coming along for the fun!
Nice Jeep, cool model kit.
Thanks for coming along for the fun!
Hahaha, I wouldave built it an not even noticed the Stoner mispelling decal!

So cool Chris, as always great detailing tips!!!
Thank you Ron!
another fine model 👍👍
Lovely build Chris
Thanks for coming along for the fun!
Love how Revell misspelled Lifegard as LifeGaurd
You mean Lifeguard?
LOL, see, we all make mistakes!
Thank you, and thanks for watching and commenting!
SOO KOOOOOLLLL.
Nice details. Who can spell anyway ?
Mike Espo .
I Can ,,,, anyway,,,, LOL !!
Ok so one guy . Ahhahahah
Thanks for coming along for the fun!
Nice details and decals with this kit...
Thanks for coming along for the fun!
yet another awesome build Chris you're awesome KUTGW
Thanks for coming along for the fun!
Ok, so I never noticed the wrong spelling lol, great episode and build Chris!
That’s a beautiful job on a nice kit -
would prefer it not be a curbside though...
Thanks!
A very well detailed Kit...
Interesting Build Sir, I have The "Original" Kit That I'm Converting into a Semi Barn Find, it's Sooo Much Better Than This New Kits. Thanks For Sharing Tho, God Bless All.

Haha as a jeep guy, yes having a fit. Nothing in the interior of my jeep has anything gloss!!! Other than that enjoyed the build.
Googled a dark dash in an 03 Wrangler and it came up as that plastic/vinyl semi-shine, so I went with it when I built it.
Thanks for watching!

AWESOME WORK BUDDY
Thanks for coming along for the fun!
Lifegaurd.
Lifeguard.
Okay.

@@gsxerwhite I love crap dip 😂😂😂
There's a business I deliver to, along with a lot of other trucks. Someone painted the orange barrel, Stop for Gaurd. Makes me laugh every time I pull in the driveway :)
Not the worst error I ever seen in a kit. Revells 69 Charger roof and Lindbergs 61 Impala cowl come to mind.
Thanks for coming along for the fun!
Great Job!
Thanks for coming along for the fun!
Very Nice !
Thanks for coming along for the fun!
Very very cool! 😎👍🏾
Thanks for coming along for the fun!
Oh my Gaurd, how could they get it so wrong?! xD
LOL, mistakes happen!
Neat kit. I find it odd tho that there's "that much" flash on a mold that is roughly 10 yrs old (or even less). As you said, it's not the end of the world, just that from what I know flash depend on the wear of the molds. And lifegaurd XD. Wonder if they'll correct it for the main release.
This is the main release so instant collector's item!
I just bought this Jeep today and the Lifeguard decals have been corrected to be spelled correctly.
Cool!
You can always fix the misspelled decal if so desired..
Awesome build man but the air filter looks like it needs changed 😂
Thanks for coming along for the fun!
I just noticed the misspelling of LIFEGAURD. Here in the south, that’s how we would pronounce it lol!
Must guard those gaurds.
Thanks for coming along for the fun!
Speeds things up, makes it easier. Takes seconds to fix any cut off points.
I wonder if sales of these models will go up since everyone is stuck at home :)
Let's hope that one good thing from all of this is that we get some new modelers!
A curbside that's a level 4. 🤔🤔🤔
Great build, but I am disappointed that you didn't use a genuine Craftsman socket to sand your tires with! lol And the grab handle is usually call the "Oh S**t" bar lol
Thanks for coming along for the fun!
"slap it outta their hands" 😂😂
Darn right!
I ended up with a bunch of glosscote bottles dirt cheap. So I'm using it up. Once gone it's back to Future.
Question regarding the panel line accents as I am lookng to add them to my builds. Did you apply them prior to any paint/primer? After? Both? Also, what do you use to wipe off excess? Your videos are great. Thanks.
I draw them on once everything is done. They wipe off with a finger if you do it right away.
Love how it panned out with everything needing the same color on same tree. Wonder if they did that intentionally
Maybe so! Thanks for coming along for the fun!
Dang. I had no special desire to build this kit myself, but then you pointed out the lifegaurd error. No I really want it myself cause that's funny right there
Collector's item! You know folks will buy it just for that!
Oh yeah.. My high School bus was emblazioned with JOINT UNIFED SCHOOL DISTRICT.. True story.
Have u ever done like a 1990 K5 Blazer? If u have not, think u could do one? Thanks
Don't even know if there is a kit of that.
Scary they now call curbside kits a level 4.
Hey how much money a month do you spend on model kits
Yeah the Tamiya kits are awesome.
Thanks for coming along for the fun!
what are the chances i just uilt this kit
