  • Read the full article derived from my talk here: onepagelove.com/understanding - so for fun and in the light of the WordCamp event being held in Germany, I decided to adapt my talk into a tale about Yannick from the quaint town of Witzenhausen - hope you enjoy the story!
We start by trying to understand what our user is thinking and anticipate what they are expecting to see in our Landing Page - resulting in improved conversions.

Hope you enjoyed the story! Fun fact: Yannick's original name was "Hans" but when doing my research, Dutch and German friends said it was too cliche' - so Yannick was born :)

Hans can probably be the most German name ever! to be followed by Hans-Peter :p

Already told you this in person, but never before did anyone distill down what a good landing page needs in a quick and fun talk like you did. Thanks a lot Rob, I'll send you the links to the landing pages I'm about to build, once they are ready.

Man! learned a few new things, I was not focusing that much on testimonial. Thanks for your thoughtful explanation with a scenario 👏

They are super overlooked - but especially when you take up Landing Page real estate with meaningless ones. Try cover all your main product benefits within them! Stoked it was helpful:)

Thank you Mirelli! :) A few people went to me asking how I met Yannick haha, so fun, and fun fact his original name I created was Hans but a few German friends said it was too generic :)

Rob Hope I probably know 5 Yannicks, so I think it was a great choice! The name Hans is a little outdated for a hipster dude 😅

@@MirelliPropelli Ha that is so reassuring - very happy I didn't go with Hans:)
