my grandmother died on the 19th of December i say she was my grandmother but in truth she was more of a mother to me she raised me since i was 3 years old she loved Christmas more than anything I thought that on Christmas day i would not be able to even smile when you're guys video went live it was honestly was the best thing i could do. i was alone on Christmas but watching you guys made me feel like i was around friends

Subaru's are in high demand. My 05 STi hasn't depreciated in the 6 years I've owned it. I paid 19,500 for it and recently when looking at a brz was offered 20 to trade it in. the dealer would probably flip it for 23. it's nuts.

Surely the obvious thing to do it to take the engine from Roadkill's Impala, and put it in the Scooby?

Im still kinda butthurt that they didnt weld the rear diff on the impala. That would have made it so much better of a car (Kinda). Still though, it was super cool to see all this footage
Babyblue1992 my guess is, if they welded the diff they would have torn that old boat to pieces with the extra traction and massive torque. The driveline from the trans yoke back was only designed for a third of the power they stuffed in her.
Breaking an axle shaft is never pretty with c-clip rearend.
They disconnected the power steering, add a lock diff and trying to turn at slow speed would've been much more difficult.

As a fan of both roadkill and your show I think y'all did an exceptional job. Y'all had such a incredible wall of jet lag and you did not know how crazy roadkill is. I can't wait to see them in Australia and fighting jet lag

Dont get me wrong, I loved that Impala from Roadkill.. Largely because I'm a huge fan of Rat Rods and bold and brash muscle cars (that engine/exhaust tho) But that Subarute?
That thing is amazing! both for the quality of work in only 2/3 days but if nothing else the fact that it just seemed to be a damn nice car, that I personally LOVED the look of.

Toms Tech 7 guys built the subarute? if so, yeah thats another story. But regardless Roadkill's build was lacking imo. Specially it being built for people traveling an ocean to colab with them.
As much as I like Roadkill, I'm kinda inclined to agree. I loved the Impala, that engine and the way it sounded, but it felt like they kinda phoned it in on the build.....
this is awesome i like watching behind the scenes to see how the episodes came to be and get that little bit of something extra

I started watching this episode least expecting to see my home city in the end. That's crazy. I hadn't had the slightest clue to see San Diego. Mind is blown. Qualcomm Stadium is now all gone.

That’s how roadkill does things. It’s part of the charm of the channel. You play it fast and loose and break down on road trips and rig stuff to get you home 8)

Watching this in 2024 after having watched the MCM vs RK episode many times i'm actually bummed by the fact that none of the the roadkill crew, let alone David or Mike commented on this.
Correct me if i'm wrong but i got the sentation from the episode that the Motortrend Channel is really self centered. That's also why I think the reverse cross-over episode of them comming to Australia never took place. I got the idea that they couldn't care less. Excluding the Covid pandemic obviously.
I like Roadkill...Like a lot! But I love MightyCarMods. Been watching you guys since the very start.
Don't ever sell out. Don't ever go corporate. Just you two guys and your mates is what makes this show.

The Subarute is actually a cool looking little car, the flares are just what the flare-less wagons need. Hopefully they can get the bodywork, paint and details in order; I think it deserves to be finished to a nice level.

So here's a story: I watch MCM religiously, but due to financial trouble, I end up disconnected from the internet for a while. Move to a new city, reconnect and hop on youtube. Come to find out, if i had stayed in town for a few more days, I could have met my heroes when they traveled across the globe to basically where I used to work. FML
