It’s fall here in Indiana and the days are getting crisper! I feel like it is the perfect time to make some soups and stews for dinner. The perfect complement is always homemade bread. And this bread is SO so easy!

I just tried this and it is, hands down, THE BEST BREAD I have ever made! I even took a photo of it when I took it out of the oven and sent it to my Mama who is a bread expert (yes - 65+ years of baking does that!). She immediately responded "Send me that recipe! That looks so good!" Is the dough sticky? Yes but that means it is alive and kicking. All I did was scrape it onto heavily floured parchment paper then threw some more flour on top. That took care of the stickiness and allowed me to shape it into a nice little boule. After that I put it on a very lightly floured parchment paper, put it into my 100% ceramic 3-quart dutch oven (so if you can't pick up a heavy cast iron pot, no worries) and baked it for 40 minutes with the lid on, then 13 minutes with the lid off. It came out perfect and incredibly delicious! Thank you so much for sharing with us!
I love it! Thats wonderful!
Is the ingredient list anywhere
Where's the recipe at@@ourjourneytohome1646
@@habibaahmedsamina flame have to be very very low and the pot have to have thick bottom. If you have no other option you can try but be ready for bottom of the bread to be burnt.

Wasn’t sure about the ‘cup’ size, I think I added too much water into the dought
My bread outside is crispy yet the inside were like cake, or muffin that kinda stuff, not bread like.😅
I use parchment
Do I have to put in the fridge? Wile proofing
Nope, just out on the counter at room temp.
Do we have to keep ut overnight in fridge or outside?
you let it rise outside the fridge

I tried this, but dough was super sticky…couldn’t even work with it. It looked always lumpy and wet even after adding flour. Any suggestions?
right mine too. I wonder if they use metric cups in the video (250ml), where imperial cups are 284 ml. Next time I am going to use 1 1/4 cup of water to see if that gives the right consistency.
Use a flour with higher protein content try for around 12%. Many flours have under 10% protein in that case you’ll have to either use more flour or less water.
That sounds about correct!

Can I bake it in the oven without the pot?
You just need something to cover it to keep the steam in while it bakes. Hope this helps!
The alumimun foil works? I made mine on a wax paper and its been a pain in the ass, nice tip
sure does!

Can we do this in a rectangular tin
Possibly, it just needs to be covered for most of the baking.

all purpose flour 🙂
Is this sourdough bread?
It is a yeast bread, but has a tangy taste from the long rise on the counter.

Speak
Its not even sourdough bread, there's no reason you shouldn't let it proof for only an hour or two max then bake it
Yes of course, then to do that you'd want to use more yeast. Putting less yeast slows the development of the dough, and in this case, gives it a nice flavor and crust.
@platinumcc9don’t use foil. Parchment paper if you want but unnecessary with Dutch oven.
