I love crested geckos just brought one home Monday. she adjusting great I call her bindi..bigger the tank the better n let me say she explores every inch of her 35x28x18 exo terra,!
I love my 2 crested geckos. And my 2 gargoyles. The gargoyle gecko is much more interactive and out during the day basking. My crested geckos bask 6 to7 at night and 7 to 8am in the morning. Both species ask to come out to interact with me. And they learn routines and specific words meanings. For example. I used wax worms to train all 6 of my geckos to come out of hiding so I can check on them. No playing find the gecko everyday. I use the words gecko gecko. And out they come. They don't get a treat everytime. But still pop out to see if any are offered. 😊
Looks cool, i'd still add some isopods and springtails though. Micro-organisms can only do so much. Also you should check out snake discovery, they have tons of great reptile care/habitat setup videos.

@@CreativePetKeeping He does look interesting, can't wait to see an update on Gucio. The whole bioactive enclosure setup doesn't look much different than setting up terrarium. Its just much bigger in size.

This is great, I love the whole video, makes me want a gecko toooooo- but you forgot the crucial part of creating ANY new set up- THE FOOTAGE OF YOU PLACING GECKO INSIDE so we can see it explore with fresh eyes. Hey, my name is Summer. I was wondering if you would be willing to give me some tips on breeding Bettas, i have tried multiple times with NO success. It is getting very overwhelming because i keep trying to breed all my different fish and nothing good have happened yet. I have 6 bettas, and all of them have failed me.

Hi. I've upgraded my cresty's twice. Right now they are in 24 x 18 x 24. They use every part of their enclosures. I recommend an even bigger tank but not taller. Heard of too many falls resulting in severe injury or death. I'll be upgrading my crestys and eventually my two gargoyles to the exo terra 36 x 18 or 24 x 24. In the wild they actually seem move more laterly than vertically . And if seen this to be true of both my crested and gargoyle geckos. They seem to do better jumps with a run at it. And watching them hunt throughout the enclosures you'd swear they are having fun going from branch to branch. I love your setup.
I have noticed the same. Too many unnecessary deaths from improper cage sizes and more importantly. Improper environment. My cresty and gargoyles definitely use more horizontal than vertical. They use their terrariums like jungle gyms. Running across the branches then jumping up, down and across. Once I corrected their enclosures, they were at least 75 percent more active.
U put down moss they won’t get hurt they need vertical tank because they love to climb

I love my crested geckos. I've kept a couple of females in a large bioactive setup (36"x36" exotera) for 6-7 years.
Oneday I want to set up an enclosure for Gucio thats twice as big as his current home 😃

He is HUGE. I might have to remove him because he is starting to block out the front. I think if I had planted him in the back it would have been ok

Came out great. In my experience that Syngonium ( arrow leafed plant) will take over. I had one cover the entire bottom of an ExoTerra that size in a single school year! There is also a saying about ferns. "If you put a fern inside a glass box it will eventually fill the box😱"
