Dinosaur Planet would be one of the Carcharodontosaurids that lived in South America - Giganotosaurus, Mapusaurus, or Tyrannotitan
That episode takes place a few million years after those species went extinct, the fossils those Carcharodontosaurs in the episode were based on were later described as the megaraptoran Aerosteon.
@@salomonofhungary5593it said giga in the episode
Only Giganotosaurus would be the correct option to choose because it only took a while before Mapusaurus and Tyrannotitan have yet to be discovered at the time.
Did not@@knucklesox1
@thespyfromteamfortress2568 nvm your right! I heard giga.
carcharodontosaurus is lowkey one of the most underrated dinos
Yeah despite having its name for the entire genus of carcharodontosauriud it will get overshadowed by giga.
@@spiritedchung5926 I think the only reason why giga is more famous is because of it’s name and because it lived in south america
Yeah, ikr
@doctorstrange3740 and Giga also featured in JWD. And Carcharodonto also been overshadowed by Spino due to them living in the same time period and the same continant. And Giga tens to be bigger than Carcharadonto
Honestly, if Carcharodontosaurus was the one who fought the Spinosaurus, it would've become quite popular.
Probably even MORE popular than Giganotosaurus.
Carcharodontosaurus was kinda planned to appear in Primeval, it's shown on a promotional image on a magazine.
You are not kidding that the Operation Genesis Carcharodontosaurus design is so iconic. In fact, there's literally a mod for the JWE games to turn its in-game Carcharodontosaurus INTO the Carchar from Operation Genesis!
It's got the Walking With Dinosaurs Allosaurus vibes for me
It’s nice that Dinosaur King still some fans still talking about it. It’s a pretty niche show and was my childhood show.
I absolutely loved Carcharodontosaurus in Dinosaur Planet. I loved how it was kind of portrayed as this force of nature that was almost unavoidable. There is no fighting this thing, your only option is to run away and hope it doesn't get you. Mixing in elephant calls to make it feel massive definitely helped.
Honestly. Carc has showed up a lot in Documentaries. Sometimes that might be more so because of Spinosaurus than itself, but still, for a lesser known dino, it probably shows up more than Giga, in documentaries at least. Not to mention Carc was in JPOG, Giga wasnt, and both are now in Ark as well as both JWEs.
And yeah, at the time the Megaraptorid that would later be called Aerosteon was a very new find, and Im not even sure if the group Megaraptora had been named yet, and if it did it was thought by many to be within Carcharodontosauria, specifically close to the British, Neovenator; whereas now of course it seems to be pretty absolute that they're positioned somewhere within Ceolurosaurs. Oh also, theres the documentary 'Bigger than T-rex' which I think had one or two scenes with a nice looking stop motion one, and there's also an image for Carcharodontosaurus in Primeval, which was assumedly for an episode they later decided not to do.
That carcharadontosaurus from dinosaur planet was supposed to be Aerosteon
thats true
I totally agree with you about the "shrink crafted" problem of dino designs. My least favorite design of Carchar is from Planet dinosaur, mainly because the lower jaw looked just too weak to be realistic and natural ( 3:28 ), it doesn't even match the reconstructed skull
I think the problem with the JW:Evo Carcharodontosaurus is that it looks like it’s pretending to be a Tyrannosaurid. More robust skull, bony crests, and a smattering of other little details.
I thought the same
,,,,how in the hell is is pretending to be a tyrannosaurid? It looks nothing like a tyrannosaurid :/
@@ethanpena2030 matter of opinion. To me the skull shape doesn’t resemble the typical carcharodontosaurid type skull shape with the pronounced fenestra and is not proportional, looks too small. A carcharodontosaurus skull is around 5 1/2 feet long, similar In size to the giganotosaurus skull, but when next to the giga on here there is a noticeable size difference. Also looks more like a rajasaurus (abelosaurid) with the large osteoderm on the skull.
Yes almost like they rushed it into the game...
Man, Dinosaur King was my childhood.
Real the amv’s man
Same
Same, bro !
Same here.
Path of Titans has a lot of Dinosaurs you can play as being one. Especially that they support a mod community.
This is the Dinosaur if I get too Bored with the popular name Like Giganotosaurus or Tyrannosaurus.
how bout minipachycephalosaurus
@@SpinoAnimationsYT nigersaurus:
Ironically, the best design for me is that one from Monsters Resurected.
There was an old dinosaur documentary that I watched back in high school that showed Carcharodontosaurus and it's overall appearance wasn't too bad, it's colors resembled that of JPOG's Carchar.
Dinosaur King was my first anime, although I didn't know what an anime was back then. The Carcharodontosarus was my favorite in Jpog I'd always made sure to unlock it every playthrough.
Carcharodontosaurus sure is a cool dinosaur and I hope it appears more in media, my favorite will always be Dinosaur King with its colors and everything. Furthermore I wish you hope you have a great day
Not going to lie, when I saw the Dinosaur King Carcar on your video, I knew I gotta see it. Because Dinosaur King was my childhood, and seeing it in anime was my first every introduction to the dinosaur, so for many years, whenever I hear Carcharodontosaurus, I always imagine it as the one from Dinosaur King. Fire Cannon and all
So glad to see the spotlight on this fella! 🤘🦖
I love how the spino slaps it too because people were hyping the fact finally a dinosaur on two legs has them long arms.
They always portray it as spino fodder, even tho charcharodontosaurus is a close relative of the gigantic giganotosaurus. It was definitely the apex predator of North Africa. And was most likely the aggressor whenever it came across spino
Ark:
Well no, most likely the spino looked too scary and intimidating for the carchar to want to fight, they’re animals and animals don’t want to hurt themselves. Spino looks huge with its sail and paddle tail, and a carchar could probably take down a spino but they’re probably gonna leave each other alone
@@mikkelmoland9571yea lol, I wouldn’t wanna fight a spoon either lol
@@mikkelmoland9571Also even if Carchar won it would still take damage from Spino's huge ass claws, and while Spino's teeth were made for catching large fish, not large Dinosaurs, its bite would still damage Carchar as well. There is a reason large predators avoid fighting each other if they can help it.
@@SpinosaurusTheProudSocialist you need to take into account, charcharo was of a lineage of theropod well adapted to take on large game. Spino is not, on top of it charcharo is better adapt for land locomotion and both are around equal size.
If modern day lions constantly fight Nile crocs(that can be bigger than them), an apex like charcharo was definitely running fades with any other apex in its habitat
Glad you appreciate the design of the dinosaur king carch. Big mean and green. cant ask for anymore.
Planet dinosaur Carchar is literally my Lock Screen wallpaper, that's how much I love Carchar
One thing I thought was interesting about dinosaur king is that the original Arcade game gives all of the dinosaurs unique roars and sounds and when they made the anime adaptation they kept these unique roars and sounds. Except when 4kids dubbed the show they removed all of the unique roars and sounds and replaced them with generic dinosaurs roars. I am baffled why they did this since it just make your show less interesting.
Here is a playlist of all of the sounds: ua-cam.com/play/PL_NPrPlMUEJhe0W8g83uFd_RSRljkBHhs.html&si=mrrvlA4rtkndYYyY
The sounds for Charcharadontosaurus show up in the fire Dinosaurs sounds at 1:14.
Thank dude ! I didn't know about that !
@@darkimflamos1872 your welcome, I thought it was interesting since the DS and Arcade game use the same sound yet the show didn’t, I just assumed that it was like Pokémon where they just don’t use the game noises. Until I watched this fan sub for the first two episodes of Dinosaur King where you can hear the Arcade game roars clear as day.

Carchcarcharodontosaurus was just revealed for prehistoric kingdom and it looks pretty fantastic
I had a shirt with that picture of carcharodontosaurus roaring at the smaller green dino when I was a kid. It was from Northern Getaway. The cool thing about it was that it's skeleton would glow in the dark!
my man Carch getting that spotlight it deserves 🔥
My favorite carnivorous dinosaur. Love the carchar. Love this video.
I love Dinosaur King Carcharodontosaurus, very good video and you've won a subscriber
THE LAND SHARKKK
dinosaurs king was the bomb as a kid
I would love to see you tackle the Carnotaurus cuz I love its portrayal in the Jurassic Park novel and being a sort of albino coloration do the re-release of the book with illustrations showing what the dinosaurs look like and overall just an interesting theropod❤ ❤❤
I love this guy
from someone who plays Jurassic World Evolution can confirm that the carc's design is funky
Carcharodontosaurus also appeared in "when dinosaurs ruled" from 1999 briefly and in "Bigger than t.rex" although the body shape is the one from planet dinosaur with different color scheme.
Love the hc brachi in the back 😂
cool video
I love thir desing in dinosaur planet its badass
Somehow MR one is my favorite. I mean the pattern. I really love green and yellow coloring of this.
It also appeared as an early game unlock in Jurassic Park Builder
Ark's dinosaurs are different from their real life equivalents; they have different scientific names
I think carcharodontosaurus was supposed to appear in primeval but got cut, you can see an image of it in an alley if you search cut creatures from primeval
We need more Carcharodontosaurus!!
As far as I'm aware, the only upcoming one is from The Isle!!
Bit since the development is going slowly, I'll be underground before I see it complete
One Carcharodontosaurus appearance you missed was from Warpath: Jurassic Park game. Fun fact, that's the game where I first learned about its existence.
I was waiting for you to review Carcharodontosaurus from Path of Titans community mod by Devine Beasts
Hey bro I love your vidoes can I suggest a dinosaur to talk about? Please talk about the Triceratops it is my all time favorite dinosaur
It wasn't mentioned (probably due to its obscurity), but I absolutely loved the depiction of Carcharodontosaurus in Primitive War's 2nd novel "Animus Infernal". I highly recommend checking it out and its nice that it takes the spotlight as the big theropod and several members of the species have a number of important actions throughout the story (won't spoil though.)
JPOG Carcharodontosaurus has nice sounds
your right on Carcharodontosaurus being in dinosaur planet as at they have not idea what the skeleton structure of megaraptor was i don't know if it was previously though to be a carchardontosaurids tho
Jurassic World Evolution 2 has a similar yet different looking Carcharodontosaurus, mostly the snout being different.
One dinosaur I know that has never appeared in media is Sonorasaurus which only appeared in Jurassic World Alive & Jurassic World the game.
Carcharodontosaurus also appears in Jurassic World Alive as an omega creature and in Dinosaur Train as a chef
Carcharodontosaurus will appear in the next jurassic world movie and but it will be only in one scene where a 33 meter long talenkauen eats it
I honestly love the carcharosaurus from JPOG game
The JWE Char skull looks a bit elongated because the tip of the skull is more curved than it should be, actual Carcharodontosaurus skulls were a bit more blunt and rectangular at the end; also the lack of shrink wrapping makes it less obvious where the back of the skull ends.
Carcharodontosaurus in Operation Genesis is terrifying 😢
The mod community for JWE1 and 2 vastly improved upon the design of the Carchar if you were interested in that. There's even a mod that brings back the original JPOG version.
There's a korean show called Dino Mecard and it had Carcharodontosaurus as a tinysaur
You forgot to include the one from “The Lost Dinosaurs of Egypt.” The year that Paralatitan was even discovered and first appeared.
Hello, I'm from Brazil and in the northeast region of the country teeth of Carcharodontosaurus, as well as spinosaurus, were found.
Carcharodontosaurid and Spinosaurid teeth were found. Not the specific genera of Carcharodontosaurus and Spinosaurus
R Ns remember the Dinosaur King Carcharodontosaurus.
Mattel is releasing many dinosaurs under the "Jurassic World" series, and it's quite decent. It feels big with those legs and tail, the skull is roughly in the correct shape, and the brown countershading doesn't look bad. I know it's a toy and TV or film, but I still name it because it's within the JW brand.
You forgot the mod for path of titans, but maybe it's for the best because there's more than 5 designs in that mod
7:29
his name was ace 🔥🔥🔥
If Hollywood wants to make a new Dinosaur movie they must have carcharodontosaurus as the main villain in that film
name too long. it would probably be between giga, tyrannotitan or mapu or more likely allosaurus
If I were to desing a dino to show off the skull shape without shrink wrapping i would put something like fake eyes or somthing kinda like the skull crawler on it in the shape of the skull holes instead. plus that's not out of the question preditors could have fualse eys on there body to intimidate potental rivals.
Carcharodontosaurus lived in South Africa, there is a brazillian species known
Of Carcharodontosaurus, no. There are other South American Carcharodontosaurids that lived in South America, such as Giganotasaurus and Mapusaurus.
@@prehistoricchannel128 Yep, of Carcharodontosaurus. You can check the "Dino Hazard", a Brazilian project that have the Carcharodontosaurus as one of the dinosaurs that lived in Brazil. The project is led by paleontologist Tito Aureliano, and contains a book, pictures, comics and even a game. You should check, its a pretty cool project
Can you talk about Abelisaurids
They should introduce carcha in Prehistoric planeta along with spinosaurus
What do you think of Deviljho?
Dude the carcha is my favorvite in ark bro
The Carnotaurus in Dinosaur King is called Ace.
I wonder what this guy would react to the Ark CharChar
The Ark Carcharodontosaurus has to be my favourite design of the animal, while the size and spikes aren’t accurate, it looks so menacing and metal, it’s definitely better than Ark’s Giganotosaurus.
carcharodontosaurus needs some population
Ace the Carnotaurus.
The one thing I would like to see with a Carcharodontosaurus is a movie which sadly is the only thing we haven't seen with it accept for it's famous cousin the Giganotosaurus in Jurassic World:Dominion which was a member of the Shark Toothed Reptile family.
You forgot Warpath: Jurassic Park. It had a playable Carchar.
If I may try to describe what's off about JWE design: first look at it makes it a generic theropod(quite slim, doesn't look like heavy animal unless we take smaller suggestion of 8m),
arms are short, but not as they could be with long fingers, iguana spikes along the back(common trait to make
more "cool", monster like dinosaur), weird big bumps on its head(should be fitting for front of Alioramus cousin).
As for the skull/head shape, look closely at the upper jaw: it ends with something more like proto-beak,
soo pointy, so yeah, it's weird/off.
There are at least two more:
1.) discovery dinosaurs about African dinosaurs
2.) beyond trex
カルカロドントサウルスのイラストはコロコロ変わるな

It doesn't even show up that much in the fossil record.
Rudy from Ice Age 3 is apparently supposed to be a Carcharodontosaurus.
He be a Baryonyx
@@prehistoricchannel128 Yeah, I would think so, but I remember reading somewhere that is what he stated to be, officially.
Ah yes carchar the spino killer finally
Jurassic world evo carch: Its probably the lipped area that tapers of into a beak shape, it looks like a mouth breather, the row of spikes that area haphazardly ordered like if a child grabbed the tips of toothpicks and badly cut scraps of paper and strap them on there. The fact that said haphazard ordered made one spike look like some ill fitting unicorn horn as if he's trying to mock my perfect son majungasaurus.
JWE carcar and giga feel awkward and idk why. Operation Gen carcar was always in my park I loved that design. Was really sad when the jwe design didn't look anything like and they gave it's color palette to Allosaurus??
the carnos name is ace :)
You should add the game Path Of Titans in future vids. Their dinosaurs are awesome
Charcharadontosaurus needs more love in my opinion, i feel its a cooler animal then giga
D I N O S A U R K I N G
Emo JPOG Charcharodontosaurus unironically slays, it's giving Death Metal Barbie
Dinosaur Planet doesn't count, the huge theropod from "Alpha's Egg" is actually Aerosteon.
Again you're missing Jurassic park War Path 💙
Same, dinosaur king was my Pokémon both anime and the arcade game, Is pretty much my childhood, an caracharodontosaur was favorite.
I’m going make this statement which going be controversial, but for dinosaur king was a lot more fun and interesting thank Pokémon and digs on for me personally.
Oh an I don’t like JWE rendition of caracharodontosaur, something don’t look right about it.
i hate to say but you really should metion how dinosaur king is an anime based on arcade game cause that would give you more oppurnities
for the other 217 creatures that are in dinosaur king. like irritator, eoraptor ecc ecc
Sure! In the context of these videos I mainly look at it through the lens of how I best knew it. That being the Saturday morning Anime. But I can definitely start doing that!
@@prehistoricchannel128 thats fine! it's just erks me when people don't metion the arcade it feels like lack of reasearch, but that might be just bc i make dk videos.
@@Fern-0217 yeah? theres like 4 arcade games and a DS game. You can still play the arcade games via emulator but the only tutorial is gone from yt now but if your intrested in seeing gameplay of the arcade i got a bunch of videos on it and of course the DS game can be emulated aswell.
You forgot Jurassic Park Builder
The carchardontosaurus has always been my favorite therapod ever since i saw it in JP operation genesis it was definetly the edgy dinosaur using more the black and red scheme while sounding more like a gators hiss rather than huge roars like the rex and i agree i hated JP evolutions rendition it was so wierd.
He forgot about the path of titans carc
I’m mainly looking at official designs.
Prolly just cos he’s similar to giga tbh
Tbf the spino in the first doc was way over scaled. Thing was massive even com to the adults. The one in the footage was adolescent I think.
It was indeed over scaled. Portrayed more like a Kaiju killing machine more than anything. One of the biggest reasons why Monsters resurrected is not looked at too fondly as a documentary.
