I love how mechanically the more these move techs are discovered the more when explained they sound like old video game cheat codes " Press X-Up-Up-Pull joystick down-Up-Down" etc x)
Awesome in-depth explanation here, great content as always! I also wanna clarify here; a few people have reached out about this being my tech since I posted a video on this a few months ago, but I already conceded credit to Jay in the comments on that video. His Rampart wall discovery was posted like Aug 2023, months before I brought it up. My only contribution was using it on cover away from Rampart walls, but the setup was known already.
Always a pleasure watching Mokey videos. From the explanation to the editing (which I always love reverse-engineering) it’s always an incredible journey of learning.
This is the reason why Apex is my favorite shooter, this game is simply amazing talking about the build of the mechanics, love ya Monkey the video feels super gucci-well explained ❤
Awesome content and awesome tutorial!! You and Treeree are the best at it I swear!!!! Could you please change the keyboard WASD overlay color next time tho? It was hard to keep up with the colors as I thought that the green color meant you were pressing on the button instead of the white. Keep it up man, much love!! 🔥
I've been doing these for a couple months without even knowing nobody else knew about them 😂. The in depth explanation is nice because I could not figure out why it only worked sometimes.
I believe i may have accidentally stumbled upon the level 2 or 3 method in the past without realizing it, i'll explain. (Console player fyi) When i was practicing my jump fatigue wall bounces theres i was trying to see how low of wall/boxes i could do them off, this is when i believe i found this via a slightly different method and this video explains just why i was struggling with the consistency of my method. The method itself consisted of using your original setup for a fatigue bounce, but instead of aiming at the wall when doing this you would look 45° along the wall in the OPPOSITE direction you would want to transfer your momentum in. From there as you would perform you regular fatigue jump, you look into the wall as you jump into it but unlike normal i could only get these to work when turning 90+° (from your starting camera position) past the wall as i did the "bounce". The whole side and forward input plus the 5°-10° window explains why i wasn't able to execute this consistently with the look past the wall method.
they worked on the small masonry (brick) step in front of the targets in the old firings range. i used to have fun with those when practicing my wall bounces and superglides.
Level3 it's a great exercise for regular fatigue bounces, when you got this all the previous looks easy and comfortable even in gun fights after some minutes spent in the range. Still stuck there, the crouched jump worked like once or twice but feels to hard to actually use it in fight without an high risk of failing it.
Hey mokeysniper thanks for your video it helps a lot, I just would add to levl 2 that it is not nessesary to hold w all the time, except your contolelr then its stick forward, cause if you are used to tapstrafe into a wall or obeject you have your w input to "mantle" or attach already. But if you have to many w inputs you will mantle/attach again and just get to the top of the object or surface. I hope my words help. I wish erveryone a good movement day.
I'd just like to say Mokey thank you for the smooth transitions I get a spike of dopamine everytime. I gotta rewatch the "Help I can't stop makeing satisfying transitions" video now.
This is no joke, I honestly thought tons of people knew about this. I’ve been NoMa bouncing for ages. Can be also done on lifeline packs, loot ticks, and used with revenant to do some pretty on the spot maneuverability.
I call this one the "look-ma I'm doing it " since I'm new to advanced movement techniques. Remember though that good movement goes hand in hand with good aim/gunplay, never trade movement for aim.
Ive been doing this without even knowing about it. I use octane and bunnyhop into walls to wall bounce i didnt think it was anything but just a regular wall bounce. Its not something i do all the time but i do use it in fights sometimes. Ive also done something similar as horizon. Ill use my q then fling myself near a box or wall then land right infront of it and bunnyhop into a wallbounce. Idk if its actually a no ma as horizon due to her passive though.
Hi there, could you please point me out or explain how to make a free fly camera in R5 with custom zoom level/FOV, and is there any possibilyty to spawn flying dropship for filming?)
I don't know how I did it, but I also found a way to superglide backwards off those small boxes doing this. I was using a controller on console too so you should be able to do it on any platform.
I do this since 2 years, when i discovered with treeree, fatigue infinite jump it became my fav move and trying it on all smalls vertical stuff. so for me that was just the hard part of fatigue bounce. i often chain it with rampart's cover
Was jump fatigue timed from the moment it begins to expire / upon landing from the first jump, or was it timed from the moment you initiated the first jump? I’m curious about the “1 and a half seconds” time explained in the video, because it seems like some people tend to time it from the moment of initiating the jump that activates fatigue, which is problematic.
U can do the level 2 and 3 I think, just by using "s", back And side Input as well but I think it's more Consistent for Slide jump version than fatigue
I did that intuitively, i thought it was just one more way to use the fatigue bounce for small objects specifically😂 didn’t knew that was a completely new mov tech
I figured that everybody knew this. You can wallbounce on anything at least a quarter meter tall with the right set up, like being far enough youre on a descent before wallbouncing with a sideways input
I can’t get my consistency down with this one, I will almost always get into the no-ma at a higher level than I should be. But hopefully this helps, thank you always for your contributions to the apex and titanfall movement communities Mokey
I was kinda doing not fully intentionally, when my jump after slide (to slidejump - wallbounce) didn't register properly for whatever reason (ping, lag whatever) it also happened after bhop kinda automatically, so I used it sometimes.
only recently found this out but was it always spoken about that you can super glide and super jump on controller/Console jump button on L2 trigger and it works
I swear I've done this for years without realizing it was different from how I wall bounce anyway; I cannot figure out fatigue wall jumps so I almost ALWAYS slide jump into wall bounces, and I've definitely had some low ones
yo so thats what ive been doing for about 2 years now, i told my friends it was an undiscovered movement tech i used to use a viper mini and theres a problem with all viper minis where if you scroll in one direction itll accidentenly scroll in the other every now and then so i could just scroll up and id be able to do this
Bruh I did that since fatigue jumping was a think, didn't think it was anything too special because you can figure that one out easily when practicing fatigue jump on different types of heights
I thought this was the input for standing wall bounces. Ive been doing the wrong input for a different movement tech this whole time 😅. Thanks Mokey for the awesome video
This is much harder on controller than expected but it’s possible. You’d thinkn it would be as moving your stick diagonally but it has to be perfect to the point that it registers as a side and forward input. Other than that learning it isn’t that hard.
I was thinking, would you consider binding W+jump on scroll together? As, let's say scroll forward inputs W+jump? I have tried it and it definitely makes tap strafe easy. What do you think about it?
I can't do like any movement but always love monkey's videos anyways! This one particularly caught my eye as a rampart main - although I play on console. I don't know movement to well but are these steps possible on roller?
Can you please make a video of all the movement tech that is able to be performed currently even if it doesn’t go in depth on how to do them, even just a post would be nice
I do some of these, but never used it in a fight. I also found a method to swap any weapon 25% faster, but I cant remember to do it when I am being shot at
I couldve sworn I did fatigues off the 60 unit block? Unless I was doing this by accident or i was at the part towards the middle of the range where the floor goes down
wait... i did this to complete the *new* map on treeree's new map on his r5 movement server, i never even realised i was doing a new tech. i was just trying to do the last jump and this was a way to easily get a fatigue wall bounce off, bruh. wish i realised it was something different then a normal fatigue wall bounce, i would have been the one to discover this tech
Throwaway account. I've been trying this for 5 hours. I can do every single level without any issues except level 4. I can do level 4 while in a standstill, but I don't get the mantle animation when sliding almost ever (I get it once per 50 tries). I've done everything. Got your positioning to every minute detail, even recorded my key presses and even then, I just go to the side. If I look in an angle that is less than 5(deg), I mantle over the railing (or Rampart wall), but if I make the view angle at 5(deg) or up to 20(deg), I just go to the right side, without achieving the mantle animation. What might be the issue here? My interaction steps for sliding Level 4: Hold W -> Press jump -> Hold control -> Jump before I reach the wall/railing. After jumping -> Immediate release of control -> Hold A/D together with W. Basicallly jump slide, jump, release ctrl, hold A/D Any tips?
@@Mokeysniper thank you for the reply, Mokey. Since I'm having issues with just the crouched no-ma bounce, is there a difference to what legends I'm using? As you mentioned at 4:58, all legends have the same height when crouched. Thanks again.
