- How to fix Chevrolet / GMC P0014 Code: Camshaft Position B - Timing Over-Advanced or System Performance (Bank 1)
A P0014 Code is set when the computer (ECM/PCM) has detected a difference in the camshaft position angle and the actual camshaft position angle.
The ‘B’ indicates the exhaust camshaft.
Faulty VVT (Variable Valve Timing) can cause a P0014 Code.
Possible Causes Chevy/GMC P0014 Code:
Low or Dirty Engine Oil
VVT Solenoid
VVT Actuator (Phaser)
Timing Chain or Timing Belt
Timing Chain Tensioner
Camshaft Position Sensor
