When you mentioned the Flatwood's Monster chasing you, back in 2018, it chase my character from Site Bravo to Morgantown. It was the first time I'd seen one and did not expect that! It was epic - felt like a B rated Science Fiction movie from the 1950s, running and trying to dodge attacks, on a pre-50 character (around level 30ish). It activated the ghouls that finally killed her, but what a fun experience.
Right!! It's probably my favourite enemy just for that reason. It's power level is a bit silly, currently there doesn't seem like much it can't control!
Do I get the waiver to donate my still-alive body to science/experimentation from a local Vault-Tec representative, or is this operation to remain off the books?
Great video! There's one thing I've actually noticed that I don't think most people have ever touched on or at least I can't find anyone discussing it. The Fanatic Manhunters in The Pitt all wear a full set of Enclave Covert Scout Armor. This has very interesting implications. Why are former(?) Enclave agents working with the Fanatics? Maybe this is why MODUS was willing to give away the Ultracell batteries in the first place? We know he's certainly not doing this out of the kindness of his heart.
Ares'/Calvin's return in Steel Reign was a pretty nice touch, and shows that continuously adding new characters to a game isn't always needed for an update (Nick Valentine proves this in Far Harbor). Hope other characters are given the same treatment if the next big update is story-themed.
Thanks again for featuring my screenshot for the thumbnail! Really enjoyed this vid. I have not found the holotapes in the Pitt to be honest so that bit was particularly interesting and the use of the Trog footage was stellar!

Munch is probably a reference to Detective John Munch played by the late Richard Belzer. Munch was famously a conspiracy theorist in addition to being a detective. The character first appeared in Homicide: Life on the Streets before moving on to Law and Order: SVU. The character also appeared in The Wire, The X-Files, Sesame Street, and 30 Rock (amongst others) meaning that by the rules of TV continuity all of those shows take place in the same universe. So, Big Bird could just be an alien....#IWantToBelieve
Perhaps John Munch is a double reference, but I believe the primary reference to the Munch NPC is the 18th century literary character of Baron Munchausen. That character was someone who presented himself as both a rational and objective person, emblematic of the Age of Reason, but whose stories and exploits were absurd and impossible. edit -- I mean, Big Bird is an alien in my head canon, too, so it all works out
