immediately when i heard youre drawing a pen store i thought that "is it the store that fix your 45 fountain pen?", turn out i was right. i've watch all your videos at least three times each by now so...
Ah these interiors are my favorite. I was flipping through Tokyo storefronts again and admiring the scene you painted of the book store. All the tiny details are so beautiful!
Not only am I motivated by your paintings but also, I think the stories behind the paintings (or just any painting of yours) are interesting. It makes the painting not only "just" a painting but also a somehow record of events in your life. Thank you for sharing 👍😁
An awesome amount of detail, Mateusz! You deserve a medal for this one! The man in blue gave me Wallace vibes, from Wallace and Gromit. I think it was the straight-back posture and the meaty white hands that looked to be drumming on the table, while he figures out his next move.
I admire your patience and attention to small details a lot! I recently started to work with bg art and really when adding extra objects, that are not necessarily the main focus but that adds a lot of personality to the general image! Now I do it digitally and I imagine the hardwork it is to do it in a traditional way! Congratulations!! P.S: Your work inspires me a lot, it was seeing your amazing art where I decided to work with backgrounds! I love it!!
I've been waiting for this video!! I have wanted to learn more about fountain pen care for a while. Stories like yours are always so lovely to hear, and I'm so glad you managed to get the pen fixed. Watching your work has never failed to inspire me- your attention to detail in this piece, even in the simplified forms, is just stunning.
Beautiful picture! The color palette used pops up the details. You should make a vid comparing different kind of trademarks you are used to painting. Great work!! Inspiring
Ahhh sir I’m always amazed by your work, it’s so simple yet detailed and has so much life in it. I love this angle and the line art and color and I feel like my brain is gonna explode💕
Beautiful art I love ink art and I also love watercolor .... ink art looks so relaxing ....but when I try it’s completely the opposite it’s hard to do anything u got talent 👍🏼
Those amazing details are an extra step over your usually brilliant technique. Can't wait for you to write something for a car magazine, or website like Speedhunters ;D
Amazing drawing/painting I really liked the subject of fountain pen shop I have so many pens and I'm a big fan of pen stationary, this video was a feast for the eyes
You didn't show your grandfather's pen! :( As someone who likes fountain pens, you are right that those details add a lot for enthusiasts. Really awesome picture. Your style is so fun to look at.
So full of beautiful details! I ha e yet to experience the feeling of using a proper fountain pen for sketching, and if I’m ever in a Japan again I will be looking of this store and purchasing one.....unless I get stuck in Akihabara, or one of the many Tokyo Hands stores that is......😉 thank you for sharing this piece with us!
I think this is my favourite piece yet! The details, the story, the fact that's its a fountain pen shop ( I adore my Parker pens). Is there a way we'll be able to buy this at some point?
I featured some fountain pen paraphernalia (like the figurines, signs or posters) that I suppose are very rare - I think someone who is "really into" the Japanese pen scene would spot them. I don't know a lot about them myself.
0:15 I noticed , you've changed and represent yourself as a human and not a cartoon'ish dog like you used to. Agh ! To think there's shops in Japan held by passionate craftsmen who collect oldies and repair fountain pens. Here in Europe most of "Fountain pen shops" I've seen are luxury watch/leathergoods shops with dudes in costumes getting uppity because they sell luxury items but don't know s**t about the pens they sell. Nice painting by the way !
Just curious, hopefully you will notice haha. Does the Fountain Pen good for the beginners? or will you recommend it for the beginners? I'm planning but I am afraid that maybe I will just regret it. So yeah, I wanted to ask. Thank you in advance. Sorry, for my bad English and grammars.
I think it's good for beginners! I would recommend something hard-wearing and easy to fix like LAMY Safari. It's good quality and you can replace the nib very easily if you want to try a different one or break one. It's not the smoothest pen but it works ok even on watercolor paper. 👍
This is crazy. Your patience is god level.
Gosh water color serotonin, I’m so charmed thank you for the content again. It looks like a lovely cramped place.
Toujours aussi plaisant à te voir dessiner, et à écouter tes commentaires.
Always pleasant to see you draw, and listen to your comments.
UA-cam sort of sent this vid to me and I'm a fan now. Really like your work. Fellow artist.

You don't know how much I enjoy your videos. Awesome as always 💕
I love that you drew a pen shop

There’s so much detail 😆😍 I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!! Ahhhh!!!! 🥰
Illustration and fountain pen collectors? Indeed my favorite things!

I like this clip, not only it contains so beautiful and colorful details, but also nice lines from fountain pen. So inspiring 🥰❤️💖👍
DUDE. YOUR SKILLS ARE INSANE!
Love the details! Also the BG music sounded a bit atypical from what you usually use, but I really enjoyed it :D Has spring energy!
this store is heaven for art nerds
Beautiful work, Mateusz !!! 😍
Stupid youtube algorithm, has stop recommending me your videos. This channel is so underated!

I hope these pen ink illustrations will be in your next book😄
I want to feature them along the English version of the articles in a book of my texts when I make one 👍

AAA it looks so good!! I love it!
Stunning work, as always, Mateusz! You are a master of detail and perspective! I have learned so much from you over the years. ❤️
Powiem tylko tyle: NIESAMOWITE! Wspaniała praca!
You didn't show your grandfather's pen! :(

It's the one in this video: ua-cam.com/video/AHUfB_L5X0A/v-deo.html&ab_channel=MateuszUrbanowicz 👍
Well done man.

This has to be one of your best illustration!! Love it 💓
Such talent ☺
Lovely! You're always an inspiration!
You are so precise and accurate! A real master !
Amazing!
The drawing angle though. I love it!!!
Great work as usual! Thank you for sharing your process. I wish I could buy that magazine from where I am!
This Is so amazing, all those little pens and ink botles are so detailed
Por dios!, QUE BUEN DIBUJO!, podrías hacer una cuidad con zombis?
Kocham twoje rysunki ❤❤
Amazing details!
Looks pretty good
This is amazing! There's so many details! I wonder if the man who fixed your pen got to see the illustration? I would love to know his reaction!
Yes, he did! It was also featured in the magazine. He liked it very much.
I think this is my favourite piece yet! The details, the story, the fact that's its a fountain pen shop ( I adore my Parker pens). Is there a way we'll be able to buy this at some point?
It was made for a magazine, but I might sell the original at some point.
Wow!
Are you gonna share a HQ version of this on Patreon? I absolutely love this piece. :D
This was done as a commission so probably not, but I want to re-publish it alongside the English version of the text someday in a book 👍
what the owner said when he saw it? so cool
He was really pleased!
is the magazine available in online?
Did you do a digital color comp for this one?
Nope, just went straight in. To many details to do a color test really.
@@mattjabbar That makes sense. Great result!
I'm quite curious - what details have you added that are only understood by enthusiasts?
I featured some fountain pen paraphernalia (like the figurines, signs or posters) that I suppose are very rare - I think someone who is "really into" the Japanese pen scene would spot them. I don't know a lot about them myself.
i want to be your disciple HAHHAAH this is so amazing!!
Any new brush sets in the works? Procreate 👀?
There's a beta version set for Procreate 5 in my Patreon. I will be finalizing it soon I think.
0:15 I noticed , you've changed and represent yourself as a human and not a cartoon'ish dog like you used to.

🌻
What is the brush and the size that was used in the video?
Type written on screen and he even mentions it: escoda pearl..
Thank you ;) I use Escoda Perla 4, 6 and 8 sizes
❤️❤️❤️
Just curious, hopefully you will notice haha. Does the Fountain Pen good for the beginners? or will you recommend it for the beginners?

Skip study just for this😅
Nice job and a lot of hours invested! ☺👍 You took artistic license in removing the plandemic screen , should have removed the mask too.
I was thinking about it but decided that the mask gives him a doctor kind of feel.
