the most painful part of the song is when you find out that the song begins and ends with her saying "I sit and watch you", implying that it is a cycle of her TOLETARING IT 🤕
@@_sergio._148 it's personal and vulnerable in the evermore style, Taylor Swift describes the album as mythical and fanciful, I don't think it's about her life but it's a feeling she woke up while creating the album
Her ending this with "I sit and watch you" is so sad. She knows what she needs to do, she even said "Believe me I could do it" but in the end she couldn't. She loves him even though he doesn't reciprocate the love... She's still clinging and hoping she's just wrong and it's just all in her head...
"I made you my temple,my mural,my sky/ Now I'm begging for footnotes in the story of your life." saw that quote on a lyric acc on twitter and i immediately went to listen to the Evermore album. I'm also on my taylor swift music journey :)
I don’t listen to her that much, but mannn, evermore is such a good album. I love cowboy like me, Coney Island, tis the damn season, champagne problems… The stories are so heartbreaking.
Well, I do take offense to what you said. 😂 I do admire the royal family. Cause I still believe in fairy tales. 😂 Anyway, imagine being in love with someone else, but because of your duty, you have to marry someone to conform to your aristocrat lineage. But that changed when Prince William was allowed to marry someone he loved versus what was expected of him. His parents didn't want him to make the same mistake they did. And "Tolerate It" does relate to his parents, Princess Diana and Prince Charles.

Most songs on folklore and evermore album is not about her life
Tolerate it is ab her life, its track 5 for a reason

@@_sergio._148 She said in the interview with Apple Music it was inspired by the book Rebecca, which she read after seeing the Netflix movie in 2020
Well in hindsight now lol... A lot of these lyrics match up with the sentiments expressed in You're Loosing Me.

Also most of the songs off of Evermore (this album) and Folklore is fictional. Her other albums are more focused on her own life
I think she said Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier inspired her to write this song
Correct
