The small town they live in is not surprised she says no, and kind of thinks he dodged a bullet. As someone who plays Piano i love in the end of the song, after she just sang a heavy emotional song and send it ot out to the universe, she just added 2 playful scales. Is something i do a lot kind of to break the tension. It's so organic and genius that i can see her relaxing the shoulders and messing around to regulate herself.

He had his brother Bryce doing orchestration on the album though; so could be a classical (nylon) guitar, or an effect package in the mixing software.
This one is very interesting. The lyrics seem sad, but to me she tells the story in a disconnected way, like it seems to be about her but she / the narrator is not emotionally connected to the story and does not feel responsible. I liked the piano and the music generally seemed kind of bouncy and happy, which was an interesting contrast to the lyrics. I also like how the lyrics do the full circle thing at the end and talk about the next girl/woman. 🙂🎵

That was also a sad song about failed relationship. It's kinda ironic bcs I'm pretty sure they're having great relationship now. 🤣🤣
