The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were all smiles despite the rainy weather as they joined the Earl and Countess of Wessex and Princess Beatrice at a Buckingham Palace garden party today.
Kate stood under an umbrella and wore a mint green dress as she chatted with guests in the palace grounds.

Unfortunately Catherine won't be Princess Catherine, until Charles takes the throne. Prince William will then become HRH The Prince of Wales & Catherine will become HRH Princess Catherine of Wales. Until then if she wanted to use a Princess title, she would become; HRH Princess William of Wales. Princesses of the Royal Blood are the only ones who have their own first name. e.g HRH Princess Beatrice of York or Princess Charlotte of Cambridge. They have a Parent who is of the Royal Bloodline. In Charlottes case her Father. If & When she marrys however, her husband will not be known as Prince, The Monarch at the time may choose to give him a title, but it would be a Minor one.
Catherine and Sophie look absolutely beautiful and William has such a lovely and happy demeanour when talking to everyone . His smile is radiant !!😊

You've got a bunch of entitled people, clothed extravagantly by the taxes paid for by the public, who begin acting the moment the camera's role. It's a party assembled in order to inflate the public into believing they have something that is nothing but illusion, dust in the wind. To an idol worshipper, it's "wonderful".
They all looked like they were enjoying themselves, and of course looked elegant. Catherines dress almost had a Victorian look to it, which was beautiful 😍.
She reminds me of the Queen Mother in some ways...

She doesn't look like the Queen Mother, but she has a similar friendly, smiling, way of interacting. A woman at a garden party once said to the Queen Mother "If you weren't the Queen, I'd really like you as a neighbour", and I think that this sums up both Catherine and Sophie. To put it in more modern terms, you could imagine them as work colleagues.

Her head footman Billy was friends with my dad so we were lucky enough to be invited to a garden party at Clarence House at trooper of the colour 💜 A day I’ll never forget

Beatrice is becoming a real asset to the Royal Family. There are roles that need to be filled, and she's shown she is keen to do her part. Also, her marriage to Italian count Edoardo Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi keeps them on firm footing with royal protocol. They are are a rising couple in the Monarchy.

Its not too good here today, from the Duchy of Lancaster, in the north west of England and just across the windy bay to the lively Lake District. Home of Beatrix Potter. Sitting in my car looking across the Bay having just had a very windy sprightly walk along the Promenade.

I remember when William and Kate got engaged! During an interview with the Press, Kate promised she would do her best to learn about Royal protocols, how to support Wills etc. William must be extremely proud of his stunning wife and future Queen. I'm surprised there weren't canopies put out to at least let people mingle out from under the liquid sunshine, but I'm sure Britons just take it in stride. It still looked like a lovely event.

Sophie and Catherine looked wonderful! I just can't get over how much Edward is beginning to loom like his Grandfather and Great-Uncle, and, in a roundabout way several other Royals throughout Europe during his Great-Grandfather, and Grandfather's reigns. Some of the "cousins" in other royal houses could have been brothers!
I'm totally in love with Catherine. I hope I live the day to see her crowned Queen of Great Britain for she will be an amazing consort to William. How lucky he and the UK are to have her advocate for their causes.

I was so pleased to see Princess Beatrice at the Garden Party today.
I love the Duchess’ outfit… she’s so stunning ❣️ I had no idea a GardenParty was so formal.
They are lovely. I was invited to one some 14 years ago for services to the NHS. My daughter came with me as I was a widow by then. Got to chat with Prince Edward, Camilla and Charles, and close to Prince Philip but not to chat. The system is that there are different "channels", for each royal, and then their equerries direct anyone linked to their charities etc to those lines. Prince Philips were mainly linked to services, but we did stay close as my daughter, ( then a very pretty ballet dancer), caught his eye, several times, we had lovely smiles from him, but it was pretty obvious that we werent military from our hats and makeup, and he was steered elsewhere. But we explored the gardens, had lovely food, and spent several hours there. Then getting a taxi back to our hotel was a challenge. Couple of thousand leaving at the same time, until my daughter told me to hide around a corner and she stepped out to the end if the pavement, and flagged one down. Three tried to stop, but once she opened the door of the first one, I ran out and hopped in. We had a great chat with the cabbie though. I love the London cabbies. Used them frequently when I was thete for my job, several times a year.
Enjoy seeing Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex at so many events lately. Please continue to highlight the wonderful work they’re doing.
