The Earl and Countess of Forfar (as Prince Edward and Sophie are known when in Scotland) host the fourth and final Garden Party of the summer at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh.
The Queen did not attend the party, although Her Majesty has travelled to Edinburgh to be in Scotland for the annual Holyrood Week celebrations.
Prince Charles and Anne, Princess Royal were both in attendance.

I think meeting Sophie was the best thing that could have happened to Edward. He seemed quite directionless and fey as a younger man. He's now become one of the stalwarts in the RF, alongside Sophie. Their children also seem delightful.
And sadly, meeting M is worst thing that had happened to H. He could have been like any of them helping HM doing his part dutifully at RF. But H listened to M, choosing the easy way (they thought) out, that's making lots of $$$ with their titles without serving? Now life looks a bit dim for both?

They are commoners(Catherine) before but they are doing very well as senior Royals. They are very dutiful person and intelligent. Queen Elizabeth are very grateful she have well behaved and respectful daughter in-law and granddaughter in-law. " Never complaint never explained, duty first" Winner never quit looser quit" . Hope Harry one day he regrets for all his actions. Queen like to take photos with her all great great childrens but not the two in USA. Until when are they going to hide thems. Well, they are not cucumber you can hide but one day they will work in public. places.

I really like how Prince Edward and Sophie has stepped up when asked and There doing a great job. and all were looking lovely. Each time Sophie is shining more and more.
By all accounts Sophie has nearly always enjoyed a close relationship with the Queen. HM is even more please with how Lady Louise has also matured and how she is always available to look after the younger great grandchildren.

When she was young I thought Sophie looked a lot like Diana. She has aged beautifully. She is a very attractive lady.

So wonderful to see Prince Edward and Sophie become more visible in their royal projects. Very well done, and both Countess Sophie and Princess Anne looked just beautiful.
Prince Edward and his gracious wife, Sophie are some of the hardest working Royals and are a great asset to the RF! Ditto the Princess Royal! I am certain they will be just as staunch a support for Charles when he takes the throne. Let us hope that is years away!

I like Sophie. I’m really glad she’s come to the front and centre of monarchy. She’s a natural person and has a amazing clear cut speaking voice. I could listen to her all day.

When they chose not to be working royals - nobody’s heads swiveled like they have when Harry and Megan chose the same thing. Such double standards.

Everybody looked very nice, dressed up well in their Sunday best.
My daughter and her friends attended one at Holyrood , three years ago. They saw the Queen and other working royals, then enjoyed tea and lovely sandwiches and cake. She really enjoyed the whole experience and had fun getting dressed up for it.

The Queen may not be there; but, it is so clear that all of the Royals are warn, friendly people. They treat everyone well, no wonder that they are popular with most.

How many started mentally hearing the words to My Country Tis Of Thee when they heard God Save The Queen? However, an American with 75% English, Scottish, and Welsh DNA, I do love the Royal Family and view the United Kingdom as my grandmother country.🥰
Kathryn Mast, when I was twenty, I traveled from Toronto, Canada to Marshall, Texas to attend college. I walked into chapel to hear them playing "God Save the Queen" and I thought, wasn't that nice to welcome the Canadian students. There were three of us! I cam to realize it was "My Country ..." and felt quite foolish but I have never forgotten the moment even 58 years later.

We are seeing more of Prince Edward and his Countess Sophie,,and it's a grand thing. He loves his mom,,and as the youngest should finally stand strong in the circle of RF engagements. Princess Anne looks stunning, and Prince Charles was gracious to all. Grand to see so many of the Royals together.
