- Since the 1860s, the British monarch has invited guests to garden parties at the royal palace. Royal parties are important events for the Queen, allowing her to meet members of the public whose contributions she wants to recognise. It’s not often you get to meet the Queen or have a conversation with her but the privileged attendees get to do just that and so it’s important you make a good first impression.
Former royal butler Grant Harrold is on hand to give tips for the perfect handshake, and author Claudia Joseph and etiquette coach William Hanson discuss how to dress appropriately for royal occasions.
