Hey, listen up! Pig spit is the bomb for cleaning blacked-out engines. I don't know what Harley uses for their coating, but it worked wonders on my Sportster. After a good wash, it looked brand new! Now, for those pesky watermarks on chrome parts, a fine steel wool does the trick. And to really make them shine, use a good metal polishing compound. Trust me, it'll get rid of those scratches and make your bike look amazing!
Love your channel and the real world approach you take to detailing without trying to do a full two or more step polish just to look superficial for your viewers. I’d love to see more customer reactions. Thank you for teaching me so much. Keep up the great work.
This is a professional detailing job for motorcycle I want to thank you sir the way you explain what to use what kind of products I’m so happy and I’m learning a lot of stuff from you I appreciate your business sir it’s amazing job
Harley paint is notoriously soft. I just completed a full major where I took the whole bike a part and corrected all the pieces including the front faring. A full weeks work, the bike was stunning afterwards. Great job as always my friend.
Usually a hand towel with some quick wax will get the top of your heads. They wipe clean real easy and as long as you wipe em down every time you wash they’ll stay that way
I'm doing the exact same bike, except much paint correcting followed by ceramic..I get the question often ask: " can you make my bike look like yours". Lol. Thank you for doing all the hard work so I don't have to when it comes to products.. I have been doing this as a side gig since I was 15 so yes over 40 years. It's a passion, I'm sure you could relate
Yes soft paint and side covers even softer. If he rides his wife tell him to stay away from rhinestones on boots, one of the most corrected areas in bike ( plastic side covers)
On the black engine crank case. If he picks up a product called hogspit.. You apply that from time to time or when your detailing your bike and it actually bakes into the metal finish and you won't get that white fading old look.. really really makes it keep that OEM new look for the life of yr bike (Hog- spit)
Fantastic job. I've done 4 motorcycles and they are a pain. I've got some questions: 1. What can you use on windshield to remove scratches? They scratch extremely easy. 2. How did you clean, polish, protect painted wheels? Extreme pain! 3. Did you do anything with the rubber floorboards? High traffic area. 4. Did you protect headlight? Bug central! Anything you can tell me really helps. When the guys left with their bikes, all their friends want bikes polished. Harley folks are really proud of their bikes. Again, Fantastic Job!
Thanks! Yeah they can really be a challenge sometimes. 1. On the windscreens you can actually compound and polish those like car headlights. They are plastic. 2. For wheels mostly by hand. We had to move the bike up to get to the entire wheel. 3. We simply clean any foot pedals. No dressing or anything which could cause slip hazards. 4. The headlight, and all the rest of the painted and chrome areas are protected with either a sealant or coatings. The leather seat and plastic dash areas we used matte finish conditioners. Dr Beasley’s makes a great leather cream and plastic conditioner that leaves no greasiness at all. bit.ly/3brqLrX bit.ly/2ZFahak You can use whatever sealants or coatings you use on the painted, and glossy plastic, and chrome areas.
Technician's Choice has been kind of a low key secret pro brand but now they're blowing up and I think it's just getting started. They deserve it I just hope the prices don't go crazy. 580 has already gone up. But Tec 580 is still an awesome bargain! I've been using it for awhile. I'd say it's an almost perfect coating for a beginner/DIY as well. Super easy and forgiving. No grabbing or tacky feel. Goes on and wipes off smooth and easy with no pressure. Nearly impossible to get in trouble, with no guesswork on when to remove, you can clearly and easily see the beading effect when it's ready. Cures to a very slick surface for a base coating too. Plus it smells like a Christmas tree. 😁 Great video, thanks Phil! 👍👌✌
The shine that blinds. That’s a fantastic final result on that Harley Davidson. I hope you too a few pictures to send to the dealership for their display. Charge them!!
nice change of pace buddy. bike came out amazing. I love how most people think that 1 product is all u need.as u well know having different products helps especially with the new water based clear coat. b well good friend
Phil, very nice gloss. Sonax PF, ol' faith full,.Great job. Relative to a car what is the difficulty level in detailing a motor cycle. When I look at I see tedium, so many nooks and crannies.
Hi Phil. Have you tried spraying Gyeon Wetcoat on motorcycles as a hydrophobic coating? Spray Wetcoat on, pressure wash off, dry off by using an air hose and an mf towel. I would probably first cover the seats with a plastic bag before spraying the coating on. I haven’t tried that method yet but in theory it should work. As you said, it’s impossible to get into some areas with the applicator pad but spraying a liquid should definitely help a lot with that problem. Just wondering if you or anybody else has tried that. If that works it would open up a whole new market for me. 🤩
Hi. As long as you make sure to remove all of the polish from those crevices you will be fine. Anytime there is polish residue or build up in crevices it’s caused by user error and not the product. I take time to go through each crevice with a towel and small thin tool to get extra build up possibly left behind. 👍🏼😎
please do a video of you going to through every product you have and saying couple of words about them would love to see that and maybe get some good info
That would a super long video! Maybe I can go through each type of product and talk about them, I can try to do a video on each section or type of product
@@MirandaDetailing however you want but I only have 1 desire is to see all the products and have opinions if you can add like price and description like real durability and if you would recommend just like a checklist for each product and if you do multiple videos, people I think going to find that better because they maybe are interested in one section thanks in advance
Hi Phil ...i love your site ...i had my Honda Goldwing wrapped with PP Film and Coated with IGL coating ...amazing and protected for years (i hope) You may want to consider PPF
Hi! Oh I totally agree that PPF is the way to go for a motorcycle, especially to protect the tank and front wing. But all comes down to what the customer wants. I don’t do PPF here but I have a few places I recommend to customers if they want it.
If it’s oxidation on bare aluminum we try polishing it by hand with a meta polish and microfiber applicator. But the oxidation is too much we don’t bother to go further because that’s a whole other thing to polish bare aluminum.
Wow another great video my new nick name for mr Miranda is El majico. U alway turn something in to awesome. Like a great artist can it be done yes but only a few can acomplish. Wow. Your scream at wifey made me have flashbacks of my ex lol mild ptsd :).
You obviously don't know about the product that Harley sells for the black textured finish on the motor case. Just walk into any Harley Davidson and ask for the textured silicone spray. And you'll be happy and so will the customer.
The TC580 bears a striking resemblance to Owner’s Pride ceramic coating which I believe is a 7+ year coating. If it actually is the same product the 580 is the bargain of the century! Look up Scott H on here to see an ongoing comparison of these and many other products for durability. He has a pile of test panels in the elements down in Texas. It’s no Miranda Detailing but he has some useful comparisons.
Cool! Yeah I know many products on the market are made from a few manufacturers and just rebranded and labeled. Some are the same and some are tweaked to fit the needs of the company for either more durability or ease of use. I live the tech choice products. Very user friendly and great durability from what we experience.
We prefer lake country pads. Their pads are amazing! We also love our SPTA cordless polisher amzn.to/37iwVg5 The Rupes also can’t be beat for quality and power. bit.ly/3LhIvHm
yes, I don’t know if it plastic fairings are clear coated or not and wondered if this type of buffing only works in clear coat -over plastic part? Ie: if simply plastic would this work? Thx
Hi. You mean the back side of the saddlebags? If so i mentioned why at 17:58. The customer was not concerned about the backside. I still protected it, but polishing it was unnecessary. Hmmmmmm I would never take a motorcycle to be detailed by anyone other than a motorcycle detailer. If they can name the parts, they can’t touch my toys.
You’re seriously gonna hand polish the front of the tank instead of just turning the handlebar?! Not like it’s a all day job to turn them so the whole tank is done properly… 🤦🏻♂️

@@MirandaDetailing windscreen.....so I can use very light polish like Menzerna 3800? Black polishing pad?
Oh yeah totally. You can even use a medium foam pad and an all in one like 3D speed to get more cut and finishes down perfectly.
@@MirandaDetailing thank you! Your the best! Now we wait for spring. Wisconsin is still in the dead of winter. Thank you again.

Would be interesting to see Xtreme Solutions Finale on that paint.
I always found my Harley paint to mark up very easily.

Hey I was wonder is there a point of using a drying aid when you are going to apply a spray ceramic or a sparky wax?
Hi. We don't use any drying aids when prepping for a ceramic coating. SInce we at the least do an enhancement polish before we apply any coating.
Omg !!! Lmao 😂
“ Dr Beasleys leather is great.... did you apply it to the leather???”
