Bro….. I only played every level because I used the big master unlock cheat. I’ve had NO F’ing CLUE that you’re supposed to unlock each section like that. Your warp and map knowledge for movement is F’ING Amazing. Especially during these damn space insects ship (pretty much one of the last levels I was able to get to as a kid.). I’m paused and still watching from there, but this run blows my mind. Good shit bro. This game IS my childhood failure that was still impossibly fun. I’m hopefully waiting for you to beat all the bosses too lol.

Another thing i love about the combat in this, is most, not all of course but most, the ranged weaponry can be dodged, good example is the dinosoid soldiers with there purple energy bolt they shoot, its pretty fast but can be dodged, makes you feel like skill is involved. I just played turok 3 recently and dam near every ranged unit, Impossible to dodge dam near. Halo 2 Jackal snipers type crap. This game just has so much detail And is so authentic. It is a reminder of a very different time in video gaming.

i beat turok on hardcore no help the only thing i needed help in wuz the hidden 30 areas in the whole game the rest of the game achievement i learned _ i dont think i could do turok 2 hardcore but this video will help out to copy to try on the nintendo switch _ thank you great vid

Just look at how massive it is, the teleporting, the wide spread objectives. I never could have beaten it without cheats, nor any of the bosses. Id prob still have a hard time now as an adult ffs. But I remember playing them all as a kid cause of the cheats lol.

You have to defend the totems to reach the good ending, since that's what the Primagen is after. Successful completion of the totem defense forces you into an encounter with the boss.
Haha, the original game atleast on 64, there was no objective markers or switch markers. You had to LOOK. I never was able to beat the game. This is IMO the best turok game of all time. The soundtrack is LEGENDARY, the weapons are all dope and unique but are all useful, like the later weapons are more powerful but earlier weapons are still just as effective if you get headshots. The actual gun play always felt so good in this and its somthing that you dont really see done anymore, in most games when you shoot an enemy its like shooting a brick wall. But im this game shooting enemies will cause them to react to were you shot them, it just makes the gun play feel good versus turok 3 which i recently played for the first time as i didnt know it existed and it was a very lame and lazy sequel to this game. I just LOVE this game.
Hive is more difficult and best to go ahead and get it out of the way early. Also it has the Cerebral Bore, which is a very useful weapon in hardcore for its 1 shot fire-and-forget mechanic.

I recently picked up and started playing the N64 version of this game. Its so hard but im having fun with it. Im stuck on level 4 right now.

That's a quicksave/quickload to remove collision. It allows you to pass through the gate instantly
