CAUTION FOR COLD WEATHER USE...the tub works great for soaking, but the "jets" draw in ambient air from outside the tub and pumps it into the tub as shown. If the outside air is cold the water temperature will drop VERY fast. That aside, we're in Colorado and have had no problem with the tub in sub 40 degree weather. Fantastic winter soaker, should be a great summer jet tub as well.
Totally agree. I actually have used it to cool the spa down if its a hot day in the summer.

We had one of those, used it for 3 years, this spring when I set it up, the spa kept leaking air. Ended with up buying a Bestway Palm Springs hot tub with 6 water to jets, so far we are quite happy with the new hot tub.

Hi Muskrat. Mine died just a few months ago. Meaning there was a leak in the pump. Probably could fix it but decided to just buy a new one, same model, just got it the other week from cyber Monday deals. Going to be setting up this week. So this will be my second.
@@FamilyDIY I think I'll give them a try. We had a "Real hot tub" with hard sides given to us, but it's been sitting empty since 2012. I see one broken fitting, and there is probably more. The electrician told us $300 to wire it before we could test it....I think I'd rather buy one of these. Thanks!
I have always want a "real spa" but can justify the $3,000+ range in pricing compared to the price of these.

I don't but if you live in a area it freezes, it would be a good idea. Yup, just plug it into a standard one.
The scratchy stuff on the pump digital face is a protective layer for shipping. You should peel it off and find a brand new smooth digital pad. Looks like it's in pretty good shape for two years.
Yeah. It had surprisingly done use good since we bought it. We originally tried to get a used hard shell spa of Facebook since we didn't want to spend $3-7 thousand dollars. No luck. This has worked out wonderful!
The new pumps have 1 filter and no 3 days kickoff timer. I thought 1 filter would not be enough but it is.
Looks like a pretty good solution for having a simple to set up fairly inexpensive spa. Nicely informative video.
For me, I spent three times as much as the spa getting a pergola over it for protection (we have crazy rain, storms, tornadoes), the sand, pavers, the long wooden posts to make a border, foam tiles, insulation, fake grass , pool noodles (these do so many good things!) chemicals, chlorine tablets, ph up, ph down, shock, and a kit to clean it. And paver for the two guys who put up the pergola and did pavers. *they put pavers down, then sand, then the insulation 🤷🏽♀️ should be sand, pavers, then insulation-so when I have to change water out I will have tons to redo.
It sounds very loud, like a vacuum cleaner. Is there any way to buffer the noise?

I ordered a new one as well. They don't seem to come with them anymore. However, for added protection and ground insulation, I added those foam, click together gyms floor mats under. Works amazing.
My tub is on a slope. How much of the air intake need to be above the water?
We can't get our bubbles to work and our water flow is really slow. Could my pump impaler shaft be broken? And what is the flap piece next to the filter inside? Is it suppose to be closed all the time or what?

Hi David. The spa is really quite during normal operations with the heat on. Only loud when you turn the bubbles on.
Yes the noise is quite annoying when you want to relax and unwind. Kinda ruins the point of the whole thing

1 hr for 1 degree F? so if it's 40 F outside and I want to reach 100 F I need to turn it on 2 1/2 days in advance?
Yes. It is not fast at heating, but when it is hot, it maintains it really well if kept on. A trick is fill a little bit with normal tap water. Then attach a hole to the water heater, fill the rest of the way from the heater. Instant hot water.
I'm thinking a dab of mineral oil rubbed on and wiped off the control panel screen would help make it clearer? (mineral oil never goes rancid or gooey).
What was the price? Because it seems like all the inflatable hot tubs skyrocketed in price during covid.
I just bought a Coleman Lay-Z-Spa at Rural King this week for $494. Easily beat anything on Amazon or Ebay.

Yup, been using the same one over and over after a good cleaning.
The package I read was the clean then every week or so. Not replace them.

I just set one up and I am having a problem with water leaking from the fitting in between the pump and pool. I believe it is the air line and I am not sure how to stop this leak. I'd like to discuss with someone because I don't expect the manufacturer to ever get back to me.
Yes, i have had that problem a couple of times during cleaning.
1) check to make sure the O ring is still there. Check to make sure its intact with out any debris on it. Also check to make sure it is placed right.
2) Realign the pipes to make sure they are not bending.
3) Use a wrench to tighten the connection.
Let me know if these solutions work.
@@FamilyDIY I did not see an O-ring for the air pipe, only the other 2 connections for the in-flow and out-flow. Where is the O-ring seated? IF I can't get one, can I use teflon tape? Also, why would there be water in this pipe as isn't it only for air?
The air one, not sure, would have to unhook mine. Teflon tap is what I would use if it was leaking. Perhaps there is some water coming in fron where the bubble come out

There should be a D ring that comes in package some times hard to find it mine was in the stopper fitting for the A fitting, they don’t tell you or talk about or show you in the set up instructions, if you can’t find it your local hardware store will have one.
Do you get heating error messages on your unit? If so how do you resolve it or prevent them.
Hi Jim, I have had a couple error messages pop up over the years. So far I have found the solution is to unhook the pump/heater. Using the caps to cover the input and output in the spa so I dont have to drain the spa. Then I took a garden hose and sprayed water though the pump/heater tubes to clear out any debris or algae. Plus rinse off fitlers.
Been successful so far.

Still working well. Starting to show some miss colouration with it being in South California sun daily and some scratch marks on the cover where my dog likes to sleep. Just clean the filter, add your chemicals, top off the water, add some air when it needs it. Thats all I am doing.
Changing the water once per year, do you shower each time before you hop in? Or do you find it’s only necessary sometimes to shower first if you need it?

I got an intex inflatable hot tub pure spa plus I read and watched alot of videos I am so sure I watched every video on UA-cam about hot tubs lol one thing I read was not to leave it in direct sunlight it can reck it if you have any advice for me please help me thank you so much have a beautiful day God bless you always
I have had my in direct sunlight for years. Finally replaced mine after the pump started to leak. Yes there was discoloration but didn't cause any problems.
I'd love to see a video on what chemicals to put in at the start, The wife and I both got a horrible rash.

You could just get an ozone generator that would run 30minutes a day.
I had a quick question. I got one of these from a friend and I don't know what the water flow should be like. It seems really slow, but I can't find any information on the flow volume. Is it supposed to flow through the pump slow?
The water flow definitely not fast. Particularly when trying to heat it, can take 24 hours or longer to heat depending on starting temp. Have you tries the bubbles? You should see bubbles across the whole surface.

If you think it is going slower than normal, take off the filters and wash them off. That would be the first place to check for flow.
@@FamilyDIY I'll do that. The problem is that I don't know what normal should be, but I guess if it isn't throwing a flow error code it should be working as designed.
How often do you change the water of the Spa, and how often do you add the chemicals for water maintenance?
I add chlorine tablets to the float as they run out or if the water looks bad. I dont do many water changes, perhaps once a year.

I am not sure of the model, but it is definitely a low flow system that takes a while to heat from air temp water. But once it is heated all is good.
How well does it work in winter? How often did you use it?
depends on what type of winter you have. I am in southern California, works fine here

We run the pump/filter 24/7. We only run the heater on weekends or when we know we will use it for a hot tub.

How energy efficient is this unit ?
There are essentially four modes of operation: (1) circulating pump ON with heater ON (2) circulating pump ON with heater OFF (3) air pump ON (produced bubbles) (4) everything OFF. When I say “circulating pump” I’m referring to the pump that circulates water through the filters and through the heater. The bubbles are created by an air pump that pulls in outside air (which can be cold!) and out the little holes in the bottom of the tub. Note you can’t run the heater with the bubbles on as it shuts off automatically. When the pump and heater are ON, it pulls about 1250 watts (1.25 kW). When just the air pump is on producing bubbles, it pulls about 650 watts. Therefore, if you have the temperature set at its max of 104 deg, you may find it running all the time with the heater on. As a conservative example of cost, at 15 cents per kilowatt-hour, you’re looking at it costing $4.50 per day (24 hours x 1.25 kW x 15 cents), or $135 per month. The temperature setting is everything and I would suggest keeping it at 100 deg all the time (particularly if you live in a cold climate like I do) and if you know you’re going to use it later, crank it up to 104. It will take a couple of hours to reach that. When you’re done, set it back to 100 deg. Another reviewed mentioned it only cost them about $20 month. I’m not sure how that was possible, but maybe. I’m expecting mine to cost about $100 per month in electricity.

I live in southern California, not to cold, but we do get freezing nights. Has worked great the whole time.
Does the filter pump continously run even when not heating (once it has hit desired temperature but unit still on to maintain temp)?
You have the option to turn off the filter at anytime, just hit the filter button. But I recommend you keep it one to keep the spa clean. The heater is just a simple on/off, you can also set a timer for the heater to turn off after a period of time.
@@FamilyDIY I think I've noticed on mine that when the heat is on trying to reach my set temp, I can't turn the filter off. The filter is always on if the heat is on. Just got mine today so trying to figure it out. I also noticed that the filter remains on even once the temp has reached its set temp (now colored green) and you can't turn this off. I have to mess more with it in the am
Yea the filter has to be on for thec
heat to work. It is used to circulate the water.
Where do you drain the waters?
There is a small plug on the side of the spa that you can open that allows all the water to drain.

Yes. The bottom is actually not hard. The bottom has padding.

Hey I just bought one of these and it’s currently warming up. When the heat button turns green does that mean that it’s at the correct temperature?
Yes. Just remember to be patient when heating it. Take MANY hours.
Family DIY lol yep still warming up. I hooked my hose directly to my hot water tank and added a bunch of scalding water so that helped me jump about 10 degrees in a few minutes but I have a ways to go

Are you talking about the bubble pad? That goes under the spa.
Air pad might be confused with the cover? Botom is more a fiber pad

I have had 2 of these -- and so has my brother. We have both loved 'em .... HOWEVER! on average, the pump/heater unit goes out after 1.75 years of constant use. A few years ago, they were obtainable for around $300 -- and if from WallyWorld, you could buy a 1-yr warranty. I got my last one from Bezos (no warranty available). It lasted 1.5 years. NOW due to Covid, bad relations w/ China, and lots of the plastic industry going to PPE (etc), they cost over $500... SOOOOOO! Still WAY cheaper & convenient than a traditional hot tub, but when you add in the cost of chemicals & electric, I'm gonna to see if something better is out there.
IN SUM: it's been worth it for the hours and hours of relaxation, but the price has almost doubled and they usu do not last as long as hope, so it gets an "average" review. (OH, like others have said, Good Luck getting ANY support if you have questions or concerns!!)

i would attach long hose from my hot water tap..or add boiling water..to start it. off.
I have attached a hose to my hot water heater before to just start it.
Just make sure the water isn’t over 104 degrees or it can damage the seams in the tub

I purchased my hot tub a couple days ago and tonight I noticed the material on the floor was bubbling up a bit.... 90% of it is still attached but it seems like a part of the floor did not stick properly. Anyone else having this issue? Should I be concerned ?!

Can it be used as a cool water tub? Lol, nope I'm not kidding. I miss my pool but don't have time or energy to hassle with that size right now and just want something easy breezy to get into and relax.
Absolutely. You dont ever have to heat it if you dont want to. It has a simple on/off on the heater. We dont always have the heat on particularly during the summer. Just leave the filter running to keep it clean.

I have a dog, Shiba Inu, longer than owning the spa. She loves sleeping on top of it. Never had a problem. The material is really thick and good quality.

My conclusion. It has lasted me all these years, only with sun damage, I would recommend and buy again.

The problem with any inflatable hot tub is that in 6 months to a year air will start leaking out. Yes they send you a patch kit, the problem is finding where the leak is, I tried everything from dawn dish soap, everything, never found the leak. So you have to pump the tub up everyday. Not very hard and only takes about 2 minutes, it just gets old after a while. If you dont pump it up every day and just leave it, eventually the air will get so low that the water will start spilling out. When you contact back the company, they ignore you and will not give you a refund. If the company sends you a replacement they will ask that you cut a piece of the old tub and send back to them , so that way they know you arent scamming them. The replacement tub is usually a repaired one and wont last that long. Another point, if you pay $500 for the tub, you can add another $200 for chemicals, shock, bromine, tester strips, alkaline test strips, inflatable pillow, and lights. If you don't get the proper chemicals you get a serious skin reaction. I got large red bumps under my armpits when I didnt monitor the water.
Looks like you have had some trouble with yours. In the past two years, I think I have only added air to it twice. So far I have only purchased simple chlorine tablets.
Still, a LOT cheaper than purchasing one of the hard plastic ones for $3,000+.

That's why your filter pump looks the way it does you don't cover it during the winter when it's not in use you could tell by the cover on the tub also instead of paying $5 for a new filter you continue to use the same one after two years that's ridiculous

If a product tells you it's spa quality, you can bet it's the furthest from spa quality!
I would say after using it in my backyard for 3 years now. It really good and affordable.
